Daisy was still standing by the doorway when Oliver noticed her there.
“You are finally here” he said getting off the chair and going towards her.
The silent look she gave him was questioning and he returned it with a look that promise to explain every thing later on.
Taking hold of her hand, he led her into the room which had his cousin, Gianna and his grandmother.
“You lovely my dear” grandma Soledad complimented even as Oliver pulled back a chair for her before settling him self in his seat.
“We meet again,dearest Daisy” Stephen greeted coolly and she nodded In reply.
“You look exotic in that dress” he added again.
“Thank you” she said knowing that his compliment are all false.
“We meet again Daisy” Gianna finally spoke starring down at the gown she wore.
“We do” Daisy answered mildly.
“Have you met Daisy before ?” Granny Soledad asked Gianna who nodded.
“She was Monica previous nanny” Gianna said.
“But now she is Oliver’s wife” she added having a fake sweet smile on her face which could convinced the dead if necessary.
” I never knew you two knew each other. I mean you are just a friend to Stephen here, so how come you know Daisy and even her working as Monica nanny?” Granny Soledad asked.
“Well that’s because I was…..” She paused now starring at Oliver whose gaze was on his wine glass.
“I was once engaged to Oliver but then some thing happened which ended the whole thing” she said.
“You really are such a sneaky thing Gianna,I didn’t know you and Oliver was engaged to be married” Stephen said sending a smirk at Oliver which told him that Stephen knows all about it.
“We were but then I…..”
“This is a dinner to celebrate my wife and I and not to talk about the past, so if you both don’t mind, we will start dinner” he said cutting Gianna off abruptly.
Daisy who had gone all quiet felt his hand on hers and slowly she watch him lift it to his lips where he gave her a brief kiss.
Is he doing it because he is serious about her like he claims or is he doing it because Gianna is watching them, she thought as he let her go even as the maid brought in their food.
“When I heard about you regaining your sight, I felt so happy that I couldn’t say no to Stephen when he invited me ”
“Ah, well since you are Stephen guest, I hope you keep on being his guest and also about me regaining my sight, it’s all due to this lovely woman here” he said sending a smile at Daisy who forced out a smile in return.
“How did that happen? Mind telling us how your lovely wife help regain your sight?” Stephen asked.
“Nah, its all a long story and definitely boring, you wouldn’t like it ” Oliver said not pandering to Stephen wishes.
“By the way, your dress is cool Daisy. Did you buy it yourself cause I do have one similar to it and it was given to me by some one who meant a lot to me” Gianna said this starring at Oliver.
He had bought this same gown for Gianna, it made Joanna wonder why he bought the same gown for her.
She felt nauseated, she wanted to leave the table but then she couldn’t.
So she stuck up her nose and kept quiet during dinner and when dinner finally got to an end and they were heading back to the sitting room for a cup of coffee, she excused herself and went straight to their bed room where she shut the door on her self.
The gown was the first thing she pulled off and she was in another gown of hers when she heard a knock on the door.
She opened it to find Stephen there and judging by the smirk on his face, she is sure that he is up to some thing.
“I came to get you since you were taking long but it’s a shame that you’ve change” he said walking into the room not waiting for her permission.
“You didn’t really come here to get me didn’t you?” Daisy asked hating to pretend with a guy who clearly doesn’t like her.
“You are right” He replied laughing softly.
“Then I suggest you tell me why you are here and leave” she said.
“Apart from being a bought wife you are also a fierce one” Stephen said softly.
“I suggest that you watch what you say or…..”
“Or what? I know it as a fact that you were bought by Oliver to be his wife or did he threaten you?” Stephen asked and when she look away from him not wanting him to guess the truth, he got his answers himself.
“It is! Oliver threatened you and that’s why he got married to you. I knew that guy was capable of everything but this is a shock” Stephen said.
“I suggest you leave now and….”
“Let me help you” Stephen said suddenly.
“Help me with what?”
“I can help you get out of your unwanted marriage if you let me help you as long as you help me in return, what do you say?” Stephen asked while she thought about his suggestion.
