~ OLIVER’S FAMILY HOME ~
Daisy sat at the beach watching the sun set even as the night air wafted through her.
If Daisy hadn’t been preoccupied with her thoughts, she would have realized that it was getting dark and also getting cold.
But Daisy whose heart still felt hurt by the things she heard earlier wasn’t even bothered by it.
She was still thinking when someone drape a coat over her.
“I didn’t realise you had arrived until I spotted you through the window ” Oliver said coming to stand in front of her.
“What are you thinking about that you didn’t even realize that it’s getting cold?” Oliver asked smiling down at her and slowly Daisy got off the sand dusting her skirt to rid it of the sand.
“Let me help” he said wanting to touch her but she pulled away from him.
“I can do it myself” she replied as she kept dusting at the sand.
The discussion he had with Gianna ran through her head and she bent her head hiding the tears that threatened to pour.
“Are you okay?” Oliver asked but she chose not to answer and turn to leave when a thought came across to her and she turned to him.
“I love you Oliver” she said slowly.
“What’s gotten into you? Did you miss me that much?” He replied moving towards her wanting to hug her but she slapped him on the cheek startling him.
“You bastard!” She said as the tears flowed down her cheeks.
“What has gotten into you?” He asked touching the cheek she slapped.
“How could you do this to me? You told me to trust you and I did, I trusted you like a fool only to end up being shattered” She yelled at him.
“Explain better so I can know what am guilty of” He said.
“I heard you! I heard you talking to Gianna and I know that all this….all of it is just a farce, you are only doing this to get your revenge ” She said crying hard.
“Am sorry you heard that, I didn’t want you hearing it” he said again.
“You didn’t want me hearing it but I did, I heard you Oliver and now I know where I stand with you”
“I found it odd that each time I told you I love you, you never say it back and yet you claimed you loved me. I shook it off thinking that it’s you not being able to express yourself but you never said it because you really aren’t in love with me” she yelled at him.
“If you will just calm down and let me…..”
“What do you want to say? That you do love me and that everything I heard a while ago is all Gianna spite speaking? ”
“Tell me that you love me Oliver, tell me that it’s me you want” she demanded clutching his clothes.
“What you expect to hear from me isn’t what you will get?” Oliver replied and she let go of him.
“Because you don’t love me?” She asked slowly and he nodded in reply.
“You can’t hear those words from me cause I wouldn’t mean it” he said even as she broke down in tears.
“I did got you into falling for me to exact revenge” he said again makin her cry harder.
“You are cruel Oliver” she said crying hard.
“Yes, am cruel. Am someone who tends to retaliate after being made a fool of and that’s why I did that to you” Oliver said.
“h@të me all you can cause I don’t regret it” he added which got her starring at him.
“You really don’t regret it right?” She asked again and he nodded.
“I don’t ” Oliver replied and immediately Daisy ran back to the house.
Oliver stayed on the beach thinking about everything.
His started hatching his revenge ever since he forced Daisy to marry him.
He knew the only way he could hurt her is by messing with her heart which he did and he’s meant to feel triumphant and happy but some how he felt sad and bereft.
He h@tëd seeing her that way and he h@tës himself for what he did to her.
The urge to go after her prompt him into heading back to the house.
If he knew Daisy enough, she would be in their room.
He was heading up stairs when he heard his grand mother say.
“You aren’t going to find her there” Granny Soledad said.
“Where is she?” Oliver asked.
“Gone”
“What do you mean by gone?”
“Daisy has left this house, she’s left you and I allowed her do it ” Granny Soledad replied.
