Immediately Verity opened the door,Victoria rushed in without wasting time.

“So,mad people still exist in Los Angeles” Janice sarcastically said,and Victoria rolled eyes.
“Hmm….mom,I did not gist you about the ones at my work place?” Verity sardonically said,making her mom to laugh.
“Where’s my husband?” Victoria asked,ignoring everyone.
“Do you have a husband?” Janice barked,but Victoria ignored her. She went straight to the couch and sat down,crossing her legs.
“The audacity,are you out of your mind” Janice yelled immediately.
“Mo…m,that’s not how to treat a visitor” Verity said,shocking the hell out of her mom.
“Hu….h” Janice said,slowly.
“Yeah,you should offer her something to eat,not doing that.
“Umm….Aunt Vic,should I get a cup of ice tea for you? Since the weather is kind of hot today” Verity asked,giving a cute smile.
“Absolutely. Exactly what I need right now” Victory replied.
“I’ll be right back” Verity smiled,living her mom in a complete state of confusion.
They were both eyeing themselves as Verity left.
Verity then brought the tea not long,stirred it before handing it over to her.
“Enjoy” She smirked this time,and Victoria smiled,as she collected it.
She stirred it again, and took a big gulp from the tea. The next thing that was heard was a loud scream.
“Ahh,my…mouth…ha. Water,I nee…water!” Victoria screamed,as the pepper started burning her mouth and throat,hellishly.
Verity and her mom bursted out laughing,seeing how she was acting like a mad person.
While Victoria was acting like a crazy person,Verity signaled her mom,and she nodded.
She took her handbag first and threw it outside.
Verity then came back,and they both jacked her up. Verity held the left leg and Janice, the right one.
“Robert!!!” Victoria screamed.
“Shut up!” Janice shouted and covered her mouth with the other hand.
They threw her out,and shut the door on her face.
“Open this door and let me in!!” She yelled,banging loudly on the door.
Verity and her mom looked at each other,and laughed out loud.
“Where is my husband?” Janice mimicked her,and they laughed,and stuck hands.

“How many people have applied for the job so far?” Dexter asked Spencer as soon as he walked into his Office.
“Not as much as we nee,sir” He replied simply.
“Don’t they like jobs or what?” He asked, scoffing.
“I don’t know, sir. But we should get enough by tomorrow or next” He replied and smiled.
” I hope so. Tell Ryan I want to see him in my Office” He said like the boss he is.
“I will do that,sir” Spencer bowed and left.
It wasn’t long after Spencer left, when Dalton and Derek came in.
“Hey,man. What’s up?” Derek asked.
“I’m so tired, my head’s spinning right now” Dexter said, sighing.
“Sorry,bro. You need to rest though, try and take a day off” Dalton advised.
“Who will do all the work for me? I know I need rest,but seriously, who am I going to leave all the work for?” He sighed again.
“I told you he won’t listen” Derek said,and Dalton chuckled.
“That reminds me, we saw your brother earlier this afternoon” Dalton said.
“Stop calling that idiot my brother” Dexter shot.
“Sorry….” Dalton replied slowly like a baby,and Derek chuckled.
“I am not supposed to be saying this,but you won’t believe he’s Annika’s ex lover” Dexter said.
“Huh?” Dalton and Derek chorused.
“Like for real?” They Derek asked.
“That’s quite….shocking though, but why are you talking about it with all seriousness” Dalton asked, staring at him keenly.
“What…did I do anything now?” He rolled eyes.
“Nothing…. Nothing at all” He said, shaking his hands.
“But don’t tell me you’re starting to fall for Annika… Cos that’d be funny and crazy?” Dalton started again.
“Are you crazy or what,what made you say or think so?” Dexter rolled eyes.
“Cos….what were those things he said again yesterday.

~ I can’t afford to see he getting sick, blah blah blah!~ Derek said and they both laughed loudly.
“Like I was so shocked, even my balls felt the shock” Derek said funnily, and that made them all laugh.
“So, it’s now a crime to care about someone” Dexter said.
“The last time we checked, Dexter doesn’t care about anyone but himself” Dalton rolled eyes,and Dexter did too.
“If not for the soft drink he took yesterday, I would have said he was under the influence of alcohol.
“So,Dexter Klein. Are you falling for Annika? Cos I still don’t understand the rubbish you were spewing yesterday about COVID-19 blah blah blah” Derek said,making Dalton to laugh like a crazy person.
“Are you or are you not?” Dalton asked.
Dexter looked at Dalton, then at Derek.
