“Ann!!” He screamed his lungs out. His voice was so loud that Verity could hear him from inside.
Dexter just came out of his car after parking it,and began taking slow steps into his house when he suddenly heard Anni’s faint barks.
He didn’t want to believe it until he saw the dog actually coming in with a phone in its mouth.
Immediately the assassins left with Annika,Anni the dog took her owner’s broken with her mouth,heading to Dexter’s place in order for him to know that something bad has happened.
“Dexter? What happened,why did you scream Annika’s name like that?” Verity came out asking.
“Where’s Ann,what happened to my baby?” He held Verity,shaking her crazily like she’s the reason Annika is been abducted.
“Calm down,big bro. What is going on,where…
Verity paused and squatted to Anni’s level. The dog was just on the ground groaning in pains lowly.
“My gosh! Anni? You’re bleeding!” She exclaimed carrying the dog.
“What the hell is going on,Dexter? Where is Annika?” Verity asked worriedly.
Dexter ignored her completely and started running out,heading to Annika’s place that is just few feets away from his.
“Oh,no! What’s going on? Dexter!” Verity yelped,following up immediately,still carrying Anni.
^^ANNIKA’S HOME^^
Dexter trudged in,shakily. He doesn’t and never wants to believe that Annika has been abducted.
“No…no…no,Ann!” He screamed again for the upteenth time,as he entered and met her sitting room completely ransacked.
Her abductors scattered the whole place before they took her unconcious body away,leaving her sitting room in a complete mess.
“My Ann,no!” He shouted loudly. He entered her room,kitchen. He entered everywhere that could be entered,still,no Annika.
“Who the hell did this? Where did they take Ann to?” He asked no one in particular,and like that,he bursted out crying.
“I shouldn’t have left her,no matter how much she tried to push me away” He continued to cry.
“I left you just few minutes ago,Ann. How the hell did this happen?” He asked,punching the walls.
Back at the airport yesterday when someone bumped into her. It was intentionally done, and unknown to Dexter and Annika,the guy who bumped into her planted a tiny tracking device in her hair.
Unknown to Annika,her abductors were watching her every move.
Verity came in almost immediately and met Dexter on the floor,crying like a baby.
“What happened to Annika? What’s going on,Dexter?” She asked yet again.
“She’s been abducted” Dexter cried.
“What?!..no no no!” Verity suddenly started crying too.
After saying that, he got up abruptly like he’s being controlled, and started heading out again.
There’s one person he’s suspecting right now,and that’s his dad!
As if being swept by the wind,he went back to his house in a flash, picked his car keys, and was about opening the door when Verity grabbed him by the hand.
“Don’t do this to yourself,you’re not in your right senses and I can’t let you drive. Where are you going, I’ll take you there” Verity begged,cleaning the tears that were dropping torrentially.

“Where’s he?” Dexter stormed in,with anger written all over him.
Throughout their drive here,Verity kept wondering why he wants to see their dad concerning Annika’s abduction.
What does it have to do with their dad?
“Dexter!? What’s going on,why do you look so upset?” Janice asked, not knowing what is going on.
“Where’s your husband?!” Dexter growled,and his mom shuddered.
“You have to calm down, baby and tell me what happened” Janice said calmly, but Dexter and wasn’t having it at all.
“Do not tell me to calm down. He should tell me where he took Ann to!” Dexter thundered, his eyes red with tears dripping down non stop.
“What the hell are you talking about? You both speak up,and stop putting me on tension” Janice shouted in distress.
“Annika is missing,mom. She was abducted at her house minutes ago” Verity explained and Janice held her mouth, her eyes wide opened,and the next thing that followed were tears. They started rushing down freely.
“My goodness!” She said it like a whisper, with her hand still on her mouth.
“How did that happen? She was here just an hour ago,how did that happen?!” Janice broke down in more tears.
“You should ask your husband who called her a gold digger,and swore to never let me be with her” Dexter glared dangerously as he saw his dad coming to them.
“What?!” Verity and her mom exclaimed at a time.
“How can you say such a thing? Just how?!” Janice shouted at him seriously.
“You can never be too sure, everyone’s a chameleon” Robert said,not even thinking if his words are hurting anyone.
“You’re still talking!!!” Janice screamed angrily,unbelievably looking at him.
What has gotten over him all of a sudden. Why is he acting like he’s possessed?
With the anger and hatred in him,Dexter walked to his father, not scared of him at all.
He stood in front of him,glaring. If that could kill someone, Robert would not be alive that instance.
“Annika is pregnant for me,she’s carrying my baby. And I won’t take anyone messing with her.
“If anything happens to her,or my baby. I will kill you and kill myself, dad. Mark my words” Dexter warned sternly.
The moment they heard baby, and Annika being pregnant, they all widened their eyes in shocks,even Robert himself.
That very moment,he knew he went to far. Maybe he should have given her a chance, just like Dexter said.
“Annika is pregnant” Came Janie’s voice,followed Verity.
Verity’s tears increased,they just couldn’t stop rushing down.
“Robert,what have you done?!!!” Janice growled angrily.
For the first time in many years that she has called him by his name.
“That girl you called a gold digger is from a well-to-do family. What makes you think she’s after your son’s money? What makes you think she’s going to cause Dexter any harm too?
“That same girl you called a gold digger is the reason behind your son’s happiness!
Haven’t you noticed him being happy all the time?
“What the hell were you thinking,to have jumped into conclusion that she’s a gold when you just met her for the first time,and barely knew anything about her.
“Yes,Dexter was hurt,he was heartbroken and it caused him his health,but does that mean he’ll never love again?
“I know you were trying to look out for your son,but you went too far with the whole thing, Robert. Did you think at all before saying that?
“Now she’s nowhere to be found because of you,and I won’t forgive you if anything happens to her or my grandchild!” Janice spoke breathlessly. She was trying so much to control her anger and the tears streaming down,but she just couldn’t. They kept pouring down freely.
Robert couldn’t utter any word,as they was none to let out.
He has never seen his wife this angry,since they got married.
She’s right,what was he thinking when he called her a gold digger when he’s just meeting her for the first time.
“Where is Ann?”Dexter asked calmly,gathering all the strenghth in him to hold back his anger.
“I don’t know where she is,Dexter. Trust me”Robert forced the words out. He’s so ashamed of what he did,and he’s guilty of what has happened to Annika,even though he has no hand in her abduction.
“Trust you? How can I trust you after your threat?
“Where the hell is Ann,where are my babies?
“Mom,beg him. Tell him to release Ann for me,I can’t survive without her. She’s my life,my source of happiness and she’s carrying my baby.
“Verity,tell him to bring back Ann. I want to see Ann right now,I want to call her baby. I want to hear her call me Boo Bear,tease and make her chase me around,give her forehead kisses and hug her tight.
“I want to kiss her tummy,and ask her how our baby is doing. Ann!!” Dexter broke down in tears again.
“I won’t survive it if I lose either of them,she’s carrying my first child,mom. Don’t let anything happen to her”Dexter cried more.
