Immediately Adelaide separated the king and Matilda,they both look at her with shock written on their faces.
Adelaide gasped
“Oh no…..I didn’t mean to do that. I just….I……”
“I understand you were trying to get his attention before his tea get cold” Matilda smiled and Adelaide looked at her with surprise
Did Matilda just saved her @$$ or it’s a dream??
“Yes My lady,that was right. I’m sorry if I did it nonchalantly” Adelaide bowed
King Lucian sighed and nodded
“I will take my leave now” Adelaide bowed again and immediately hurried out of the chamber
“What was that? Why did I do that?? I can’t remember going between them on my own,how did I even get there?? Why can’t I understand a thing? I wouldn’t think of doing that,never,what was I thinking?” She kept talking to herself as she walked
She was still talking when a maid stopped in front of her
“You’re Adelaide right?” She asked and Adelaide nodded
“The Princess want you in her suite right away” The maid said and walked away
“Oh…okay” Adelaide muttered
She turned back toward Princess Lisa’s suite,the moment she knocked on the door,Lisa opened the door and pulled her in
“Good morning My Princess…”
“Lisa when we are alone please” Lisa groaned
“I’m sorry,Lisa” Adelaide muttered
“Have you eaten breakfast?” Lisa asked
“No….why?”
“I want you to eat with me,I h@të eating alone” Lisa smiled and dragged her to the table where the meals were set
“There are more than enough for us,so eat well” Lisa smiled and started eating
“What are you waiting for?” She asked with her mouth full when Adelaide didn’t make any move
“I’m not going to be in trouble right?” She asked
“Of course not,and besides the queen seems to like you” Lisa smiled and Adelaide nodded
She also took the chopsticks
“Wow,where did you get the bracelet?” Lisa asked
“From queen mother” Adelaide answered
“Really?!!” Lisa laughed
“Why are you laughing?” Adelaide asked
“Because I never knew mother really meant business,she must really like you a lot to give you a royal bracelet just because you drank with me” Lisa said and laughed again
“Then I will continue watching over you” Adelaide said in her tiny voice and Lisa smiled
“Do you have a boyfriend?” She asked and Adelaide looked up
“Boyfriend?? No I don’t,I’ve never thought about having one” She chuckled awkwardly
“Seriously? You never thought of having one? As beautiful as you are??” Lisa creased her brows
“That’s because…..I didn’t have the time” Adelaide smiled,how will she tell Lisa that she was more like a slave even to her family?
“Wow,I can’t believe this. But then,you have a crush right?” Lisa asked
“Huh?”
“You should at least have a guy you like a lot and you want him as your boyfriend….”
“No I don’t” Adelaide immediately answered
“Really?? Then I’m the only one” Lisa pouted
“You have a crush?” Adelaide asked and Lisa nodded
“Who is he?”
“It’s a secret,I will tell you about it later” Lisa whispers
Adelaide nodded and smiled

Kai sighed for the umpteenth time as he paced outside the house hoping to see Adelaide anytime she comes out,he have not set his eyes on her since the day they talked to each other and she ran off.
“Where is she?” He muttered
“Looking for someone?” Luna’s voice came from the back and Kai immediately turned
“Where’s Adelaide?” He asked and Luna scoffed
“So you really think I’m going to tell you??” She asked
“Why can’t you?” Kai asked
“Hey….” Luna moved closer and touched the tip of his cloth
“You know how much I love you but all you see is that’s dirty thing?” She scoffed
“How dare you call her dirty,isn’t she your sister?” Kai Snapped
“Sister my foot,and for your information,she left home already” Luna roll her eyes and made to leave but Kai pulled her back and she bite her lips,just his touch on her Hand alone makes her wet
“Tell me…where did she go to?” Kai asked
“Of course I will tell you….if only you agree to do what I want” She muttered
“And what is that?” Kai asked
Luna touched his chest seductively
“I want you Kai,don’t turn me down this time.” She mumbled and bite her lips
“Seriously? You want me to have s*x with you?” Kai asked
Luna nodded and tried to kiss him but Kai pushed her away and adjusted himself
“You better stay off my sight,I might decide to kill you next time you shameless whore” he spat and walked away
Luna started breathing heavily in anger,she rushed back inside.

Eleanor and Esmeralda are busy taking care of Matilda’s hair,other maids left already.
It was silent until Matilda broke the silence
“I heard you’re one of the new maids and you’re friends with one,what’s her name?” She asked Eleanor
“Adelaide,she’s my best friend” Eleanor smiled
Esmeralda and Matilda exchanged glances secretly through the mirror and Esmeralda smiled
“That’s right my lady,Adelaide is quite a sweet girl” Esmeralda said
“Yeah I can see” Matilda smiled
“She really look kinda talented during the tests,I wonder if there are other things she’s good at and I don’t know” Esmeralda said
“She’s good in making herbs mixtures for healing,I think it’s a talent. She have helped me a lot whenever I felt sick” Eleanor smiled
“Wow,such a great one. I’m so jealous,I’m sure the king will be happy if he knows that” Matilda said
“Uhm,can you get me some grapes from the court lady? Your head maid” Matilda said
“Sure my lady,I will be back” Eleanor bowed and walked out
Matilda scoffed
“Well,you won’t believe this my lady. I heard queen mother gave Adelaide a royal bracelet” Esmeralda said and Matilda turned
“What?! Why!”
“Because she got close to the princess” Esmeralda replied
“So what? Is the princess that important for queen mother to give an ordinary maid a royal bracelet??” Matilda growls
“It’s annoying honestly,and I h@të the fact that she’s too nice and naive” Esmeralda roll her eyes
