★ONE GREAT SHOCK★
Adelaide entered the kitchen and all eyes fell on her as she stood there staring at them all with no expression on her face
“Adel!” Eleanor screamed and immediately rushed to hug her
“Ahh!” Adelaide groaned in pain and Eleanor moved away quickly
“I’m sorry” She muttered
Adelaide managed to nod,the pains she was feeling on her back was something she never wished for.
“What are you doing here?” The court lady asked when Adelaide finally moved closer with Eleanor
“I couldn’t just stay in” Adelaide muttered
“Says who?? You’re hurt and you have no business here in the kitchen Adelaide,I’ve told you several times,your work is to serve the king alone” Court lady said and Eleanor smiled
“Go take a rest” She whispers to Adelaide
“Thank you court lady” Adelaide bowed
The court lady nodded with a smile
Eleanor followed her out
“I guess you’re still in Pain,but I’m super happy that the king saved you. I was so worried” Eleanor sighed
“I’m sorry for making you worried,I will be fine” Adelaide said and Eleanor hugged her again,gently this time making sure her hands doesn’t touch her back
“I should get back to work before the head maid get mad,let’s talk later okay?” Eleanor said
Adelaide nodded with a smile and Eleanor went back to the kitchen.
Adelaide touched her back and sighed out before withdrawing it,she turned and bumped into Esmeralda who shut her one dangerous glare which sent shivers into Adelaide’s spine.
“You really think this is over right? I will make you pay for making my lady loose her pregnancy,I don’t care how long it takes,I will make sure you feel the same Pain” Esmeralda said and pushed Adelaide out of the way before leaving
Adelaide’s back hit the wall hardly
“Ahh!!” She cried from the strong pain
She stood still for some minutes,breathing heavily and swallowing hard.
‘What type of whip was that?’ She thought
She never felt such pains while she was still with Zoey,she get whipped at least four times in a week but the pains never got to this extent. It was as if her back was burning and at the same time it stings.
She exhaled and gathered her strength to stand up properly,she started walking straight to Lisa’s suite.
Back in the kitchen,The court lady walked out and almost immediately the murmurs started
? I heard the king saved her
? Is it true that she slept in the King’s chamber?
? What’s going on?
Nadia hit her hand loudly on the table
“You all should shut up!!!” She yelled
“There’s nothing like she slept in the King’s chamber,what are you thinking? Why would our precious king even allow that dirty thing sleep in his chamber?” Nadia asked
“Well that’s right,I will never believe it” A maid said
“What If she seduce the king?” Another one asked
“Now I see,everyone here lack sense” Eleanor spoke up and they all faced her
“What did you say?” Nadia frowned
“How Can an unconscious person seduce the king? Are you depressed? Are you trying to treat your mental disorder by using Adelaide’s name?!!!” Eleanor yelled
“The fact still remain that she killed the king’s child,she should be Füçking beheaded,i wonder why the king is still keeping her,I want her gone” One of the maids said and they started murmuring among themselves again
Garam was smiling secretly as she listened to them
“I will make sure every single person h@tës you Adelaide” She said to herself and exchanged meaningful glances with Nadia who immediately understood what she meant. That both smiled at each other.

PRINCESS LISA’S SUITE**
Adelaide entered the suite and met Lisa in front of the mirror,dressing her hair. Lisa stood up immediately she saw her
“Bestie!” She screamed and almost hugged her but Adelaide moved back for her dear life
“What’s wrong?” Lisa’s eyes fell
“It’s not what you’re thinking,my back still hurts so a light hug would do” Adelaide explained
“Oh” Lisa smiled and hugged her gently before sitting her down
“Thank you for saving me Lisa” Adelaide muttered
“Seriously? If you are thanking me,then I might feel bad. I thought we are best friends” Lisa said and Adelaide chuckled
“You should be taking a rest,why are you coming here? Have you eaten?” Lisa asked and Adelaide sighed when she remembered Matilda who fell unconscious hoping she’s fine already. She would have loved to spend more time with the king but Matilda ruined it all
“Did something happened? You slept in my brother’s room right?” Lisa grinned and Adelaide immediately faced her
“Of course not,nothing happened,absolutely nothing” Adelaide said
“Hmm,if you say so” Lisa chuckled
Adelaide checked out her new hair style
“Wow,that’s pretty. But why are you doing it alone,where are the maids?” Adelaide asked
“I told them I need a break,after they brought breakfast,I Sent them away.Let’s eat together” Lisa smiled and grabbed Adelaide’s hand
They both walked to the dining table and sat down
Lisa’s eyes went to Adelaide’s wrist as she served the meal
“Where’s your bracelet?” She asked
“Oh…..queen mother took it from me” Adelaide muttered and Lisa sighed
“Don’t worry,it’s okay. And besides,I have a good news” Lisa grinned and her cheeks turned red
“What’s the news?” Adelaide asked
“It’s a secret,so you’re not allowed to share with anyone,anyone I mean” Lisa warned
Adelaide nodded and took her bottom lip in
“Carl and I started dating last night” Lisa dropped the bombshell and Adelaide’s eyes grew wide
“Really?!”
Lisa nodded repeatedly
“Wow,I’m so happy for you” Adelaide said
“Thank you,but he’s scared my brother might get mad. So it’s a secret for now,that’s why I said you shouldn’t tell anyone” Lisa said
“I understand,I promise not to say a word to anyone,trust me. But is that why you’re looking extraordinary beautiful this morning?” Adelaide winked and Lisa blushed
“He called me a beauty queen last night,He’s really sweet” Lisa mumbling softly and Adelaide laughed
She also smiled when she remembered how King Lucian told her she’s beautiful.

PRINCE LIAM’S SUITE**
“Carl,you can leave now. Don’t worry about me” King Lucian said as they stopped in front of the suite
“Okay your majesty” Carl said excitedly and bowed
King Lucian raised his brows suspiciously
“Were you planning to do something? You sound so happy to leave” He said
“I…..”
“It’s okay,you can go” King Lucian cut him off and went in
“Calm down Carl,you will get caught” Carl murmured to himself before walking away
When King Lucian entered the room,Liam was busy adjusting his robe in front of the mirror
“Are you going out?” Lucian asked and Liam turned immediately
“You still haven’t learn how to knock?” He asked and King Lucian chuckled
“Don’t tell me you’re going to see her again” Lucian said and sat down
“You finally have my time,but sorry you came at the wrong time,I’m going out” Liam scoffed
“Have you forgotten who I am? I can order the guards not to let you out of the palace” Lucian said
“Oh wow,Your Majesty. Forgive my ignorance” Liam bowed and they both laughed
“I heard Matilda lost her pregnancy,how are you feeling?” Liam asked
“Everything happens for a reason,maybe because she’s not meant to carry my child in the first place” King Lucian said
“So you’re happy?” Liam asked
“Why would I be happy? Of course I’m not happy she lost it,but I can’t do anything about it either.”
Liam nodded
“Let me get a drink….”
“No,I will get it by myself.” King Lucian stood up
“Oh wow,are you trying to be humble right now?” Liam followed him
“What do you take me for?” Lucian laughed
“Why is the ball taking too long than expected?” Liam sighted
“The date was not changed,you’re just too impatient Liam.” King Lucian scoffed
They both returned to their seats,King Lucian poured the wine in Liam’s cup first before pouring for himself
“Thank you” Liam smiled
“Aren’t you lucky? The king of Suidan is pouring you a….”
“Oh shut up” Liam cut him off and they both laughed
“Father won’t be able to attend the ball,heard he’s not too fine” Liam muttered
“Is it serious?” Lucian asked immediately
“Not really,he will be fine but he can’t stress himself. Now I feel bad for leaving the palace,I don’t know when I’m going to come here again after I leave” Liam said and Lucian smiled
“You will always come here,you can’t live without me” He teased and Liam shot up a glare which made him laugh
“I’ve always wanted to ask,what’s the name of your Maid?” Liam asked
“Why are you asking?”
“I just want to know come on” Liam chuckled
“Adelaide” King Lucian replied and Liam smiled
“What,why are you smiling?” Lucian asked
“You’re really fond of her” Liam muttered and King Lucian smiled
“I won’t deny that” He mumbled
“Wait,do you by any chance have some……..”
“Let’s not talk about it now okay? Just drink and keep quiet” King Lucian said and Liam frowned sadly
