NEXT MORNING★ADELAIDE’S SUITE**
“My lady,,Your hair. What style do you prefer?” Gemma asked as she tried tying up the hair
“No,just leave it this way” Adelaide said
“Okay my lady” Gemma said and comb the hair smoothly before adding some royal hair pins to beautify it
“You look so beautiful my lady,I can’t wait for you to become the queen” Gemma said and Adelaide smiled
“You’re beautiful too Gemma” She said and Gemma blushed
“Thank you my lady” She smiled
The door suddenly open,Aria came in with Mia
“Good Morning my lady” They bowed
“Morning” Adelaide replied with a smile
“The queen mother would like you to visit her suite my lady” Ava said and immediately moved closer
“Wow,your hair” She almost touched Adelaide’s hair but Gemma hold her hand
“I spent a lot on that hair” She said and Ava rolled her eyes
“The hair look so beautiful on you my lady” Ava said
“You can touch it if you want” Adelaide chuckled
Immediately Mia also rushed closer to touch Adelaide’s hair
“Wow,your hair is so thick and long” Mia grinned
Ava scoffed
“I asked for it alone,I don’t understand why you’re touching my lady’s hair without her permission” Ava said
“Gosh Ava,you need to change” Gemma muttered and Ava chuckled
“The queen mother want me to see her?” Adelaide asked
“Yes my lady,but please eat first” Ava said and they immediately started setting the table for her
“Do you have any idea how the maids test are going?” Adelaide asked as she stood up
“Yes my lady, the test ended and the maids will be appointed to their rightful positions today.” Mia replied and Adelaide smiled
She actually made a deal with the court lady,Eleanor is sure going to be surprised

MAIDS QUARTER**
The maids have been chosen and given their roles,the court lady picked ten cooks separately this time as requested by Adelaide. Only the ten maids will be allowed to work in the kitchen while others are to do every other works in the palace.
Aside the ten,about fifty maids are left.
Ten for the queen mother,Five for the king since he actually need more guards than maids. Three for princess Lisa and three for Matilda too, while the others are going to be busy with the palace chores
The maids given the roles just couldn’t contain their joy,there’s nothing sweeter than being a queen’s maid or the princess’s maids.
Eleanor on the other hand was worried,she was expecting to be chosen as Lisa’s maid since Adelaide got hers already but seems her work Is going to double soon
“I will like to announce to you all….The head Maid” The Court Lady suddenly said and everyone turned to her,including Eleanor who was confused.
“Eleanor” The Court lady said and Eleanor gasped in shock
She’s going to become the head maid? That means,she’s absolutely no longer going to be ordered around,rather she will be the one to order the maids,just like the court lady.
“Eleanor come here,let them see you” Court lady said and Eleanor started walking while the maids clapped happily
She got in front and bowed shortly still confused
“She’s the head maid from now on,so make sure you respect her and do wh@tëver she wants or else….that will be the end of your work here. Understood?” Court lady asked
“Yes court lady!” The maids chorused
“You’re dismissed” The court lady ordered and the maids all left
Eleanor immediately turned to her
“Head maid? Why?” She asked and the court lady smiled
“It’s an order from Lady Adelaide” She said and Eleanor finally smiled
“Congratulations Eleanor,you can call me Maggie…..”
“No! Lady Maggie please” she said and the court lady chuckled

QUEEN SOFIA’S SUITE**
“Mother” Adelaide called immediately she entered the suite with her maids
“I’ve been waiting” Queen Sofia smiled
Adelaide bowed and sat down opposite the queen
“You look more beautiful right now,and congratulations in advance future queen” Queen Sofia said and Adelaide smiled
“Thank you mother” She said
“Let’s have a drink together” Queen Sofia said
“Of course mother,I would love that” Adelaide said excitedly
Ava and Mia immediately started pouring the wine into two cups while Gemma stood,watching them.
There came a knock on the door and ten maids entered at a time
“Oh….I think they are the new maids” Adelaide smiled
“Wow,finally. I was planning on shaving Adelaide’s hair for making my son drive out all the maids” Queen Sofia said and Adelaide laughed
“You don’t have to shave my hair anymore mother,they are here” Adelaide said and the maids bowed
“We are going to serve you with everything in us queen mother”
“Introduce yourselves” Queen mother said and the maids started

EVENING★KING’S CHAMBER**
Adelaide walked into the King’s painting room together with Carl who followed behind
“Is the king really that busy?” Adelaide asked
“Yes my lady,since he announced the future queen,he will be busier than usual” Carl responded
“I see” Adelaide muttered and continued looking around until her eyes caught with the painting of a lady she had saw back then.
She immediately picked it up,
‘He said he was going to burn it’ She thought,touching the lady’s face in the painting.
“Who’s she?” She asked Carl without looking up
“Oh…That’s Lady Suzy” Carl replied with a smile
Adelaide turned and faced him
“Lady Suzy? Who is she?” She asked
“She was one of the King’s ex queens,but she’s quite different because she was the only one the king truly loved” Carl said and Adelaide’s heart skipped a beat
Of course it’s obvious,he even painted her
“So….where is she now?” She asked further
“She suddenly left,nobody knows why but she left the palace” Carl replied
“They fought?” Adelaide asked
“No my lady,The king even waited for such a long time hoping she will come back but she never did,the guards searched for her too,but it was fruitless” Carl explained and Adelaide bat her lashes.
Different thoughts filled her head immediately,what if she suddenly comes back??
“I think the king is back” Carl bowed and immediately walked out of the room.
Adelaide kept staring at the painting,no doubt the lady in the painting was looking so beautiful too that it worries her. What if he’s still in love with her??
“Adelaide?” King Lucian came in and Adelaide turned to face him
“Why are you here?” He asked
Adelaide showed him the painting
“Who’s she?” She asked calmly
“She’s no one,you don’t have to know her” Kind Lucian said and Adelaide frowned
“You told me the same thing weeks back,I don’t understand why you’re hiding her identity from me.” She said
“Just because you don’t have to know….”
“She’s your first love!” Adelaide snapped
“I heard she left the palace and you searched for her,you even waited for her. So,I still don’t have to know? Why?” Adelaide asked
“Because she’s no more here,I don’t even know where she is,so do we have to keep talking about her?”
“You don’t want to talk about her? Do you still have feelings for her??” Adelaide asked,staring into his eyes
He kept quiet for a while before speaking up
“No I don’t” He muttered
“That sounds like a total lie…I’m going to burn the painting” Adelaide said and made to leave
“Don’t do that” Lucian grabbed her hand and she snapped his hand off
“Why are you stopping me! You told me you were going to burn it,was that a lie?,seriously do you come here sometimes to stare at her face in the painting? If you really want to forget about her then let me burn it” Adelaide said looking angry and there was silent as they both stared at each other
“No,don’t burn it. I will do that myself if I want to,so please stop…….”
Adelaide pushed the painting on his chest angrily and walked out
Lucian sighed and run his fingers into his hair

VERITAS VILLAGE**
“Suzy!!!”
“Suzy!!!”
“Yes!!” Suzy answered from a far distance
“Come here” the old granny said and soon Suzy appeared with her bright beautiful smile
She was looking so beautiful with her pure and spotless skin. Her short gown revealed her nice set of legs and her hair got blew by the night breeze
“Yes granny” She smiled and sat down
“You said you have something to tell me” The granny said and Suzy nodded
“I’m leaving soon” She said
“Leaving?”
“Yes…since my illness is all gone”
“I’m going back to Suidan…..I should return to the palace. I’m sure Lucian will be waiting for me” Suzy said with her usual pretty smile playing on her lips
