KING’S CHAMBER**
As Lucian entered,he wasn’t surprised to meet Yasmin still waiting for him,it’s something she can do anyway.
“My King” Yasmin immediately stood up
“Why are you still here? You don’t have to wait for me” Lucian said
“I don’t mind waiting,I don’t care how long it takes. But can you forgive me? I know I was wrong earlier,I was just angry for nothing,you know how much I h@të it when you’re angry with me” Yasmin said with visible sadness and fear in her face
“I’m not angry with you Yasmin,you don’t have to apologize,it’s all solved already” King Lucian said
“Really??…thank you” She smiled and Lucian nodded
“I got you a gift” Yasmin smiled
“You don’t have to bring me gifts”
“It’s just because I want to,so please accept it and don’t break my heart by rejecting it” She muttered and dropped the wrapped gift on the nearest table
“Then I will accept it,thank you” Lucian uttered
“I will take my leave now your Highness” Yasmin bowed and Lucian nodded standing there until she was out
“Why is she so stubborn??” Lucian scoffed and looked at the gift on the table
He ignored it and went into the bedroom

“What is that harlot still doing in the king’s chamber?” Matilda said,folding her fist as she waited for Yasmin to come out
“You don’t have to worry yourself my lady,the king can never show any one affections like he does with you” Esmeralda said and Matilda roll her eyes
“Are you waiting for Yasmin??” Lisa asked from the back and they both turned
“Good afternoon princess” Esmeralda immediately greeted as Matilda and Lisa glared at each other
Seems Lisa is the only one who doesn’t like Matilda,even the queen mother loves Matilda a lot. Well the feeling is mutual,Matilda doesn’t like Lisa either
“What’s your business here?” Matilda scoffed
“I should be asking you that,coz the last time I checked,my brother is the king,I am a princess and you’re just a mistress here” Lisa smiled
“There’s nothing wrong with being a mistress,you lack knowledge princess” Matilda scoffed
“Then wait until my brother get married and let’s see if that hole of yours will still be needed” Lisa smiled and walked away leaving and angry Matilda
Just then,Yasmin appeared and she exchanged deadly glares with Matilda before walking away with her two maids behind her
“I wish she dies” Matilda spat and turned to Esmeralda
“I told you to keep an eye on that maid,why are you here? Go” She said and walked away

MAIDS QUARTER**
Everyone listened attentively as the head maid gave each one different new roles and positions in the palace,Eleanor has been chosen to become one of Lady Matilda’s maid and she seems happy about it
“How many maids are taking Care of the king’s chamber?” Head maid asked and about six maids moved forward
“And who is in charge of the king’s food?”
“It’s me head maid” Nadia smiled proudly
“Good,then you won’t be doing that anymore” Head Maid said and her eyes widened
“But why?”
“Because a new person is taking that position…Adelaide be ready,you will be the one in charge of the king’s food from now” The head Maid said and Adelaide nodded immediately while Nadia glared at her h@tëfully
Soon the meeting was over and everyone started leaving
“Eleanor,Come with me” the head Maid said and Eleanor immediately followed her
Adelaide tried to walk away but Nadia and Melita blocked her way
Adelaide looked up to see their dangerous glares
“Why did you accept that position?” Nadia asked and pushed Adelaide’s chest
“Speak up!” Nadia yelled and pushed her again
“Did you bribe the head Maid?? How can one dirty new thing be chosen to serve the king??” Melita scoffed and Nadia pushed her hard this time and Adelaide fell,she looked up
“You better stay away from me,I might kill you if I have to” Nadia said and rough Adelaide’s hair
Adelaide bite her lips without saying a word
“Let her go,you’re just jealous” Esmeralda appeared and pushed Nadia away,she helped Adelaide up
“Should I report you girls for bullying? You better stay away from her” Esmeralda snapped
Nadia hissed and faced Melita
“Let’s go” She said and they walked away
“Are you okay?” Esmeralda asked and Adelaide nodded
“I’m fine,thank you” Adela smiled
“Feel free to be my friend” Esmeralda smiled
“Sure” Adelaide nodded and they both walked out together
“Adelaide,come here for your uniform” The head Maid called and Adelaide left her and followed the head maid
She met Eleanor who was already changed
“Wow,it really look good on you” Adelaide said and Eleanor smiled
“I feel so glad that I will be serving the mistress but you’re more Luckier” Eleanor smiled and walked out
“Here,get changed” The head maid handed the uniform to Adela
She started pulling off her robe immediately and then put on the uniform,it’s a short gown which was nice looking enough,her slim figure made it look more beautiful,bringing out her perfect legs since the gown stopped on her thighs
Adelaide bite her lips,it’s her first time wearing something as short as this. She’s always known with her white robe,but she have no choice

EVENING**
Princess Lisa stood behind one of the poles ,she was staring at Carl who was doing his sword practice in the guards practice ground
“He’s so good” She muttered with a little smile
Carl suddenly stopped and looked around as if he heard a voice and immediately Lisa hid herself,she waited for another minute before bringing out her head but was shocked to see Carl already gone
“Oh…where did he go to?” She muttered looking around
She sighed and turned back but let out a loud gasp when she saw Carl right in front of her
“Were you spying so you can escape from the palace again?” Carl asked and Lisa scoffed
“Why would I do that?” She looked away
“When you lie,it’s so easy to know my princess. You’re not even looking at me” Carl said coldly
“What’s your stress? I already promised my brother that I will change,so you better don’t push me” Lisa scoffed
“Okay then,you should return to your suite” Carl muttered
“Who are you to tell me what to do?” She frowned
“That’s right,I will take my leave now princess” He muttered with a bow before walking away
Lisa bite her lips
“Was I too harsh? Oh Lisa” She Mõ@ned and rough her hair before leaving

KITCHEN**
The maids all glared as Head Maid Maggie taught Adelaide few things she needs to know
? When did the head maid ever act nice to us?
? What’s with the special treatment?
“That’s all,now shall we?” Head maid faced Adelaide and she nodded as she carried the king’s meals and set them carefully into the food cart
They both left the kitchen together and in no time,they got to the king’s chamber.
Carl also arrived at the same time
“Who is going in?” He asked
“Oh,it’s Adelaide” The head maid replied and Carl looked at Adelaide who was already nervous
“Come with me” He said with his usual blank face before going in
“Be careful” Head maid said to her before leaving and Adelaide walked in with Carl
He took her to the dinning room
“I will bring the king” He said and went out again
Immediately,Adelaide began setting the table carefully like the head maid had told her and finally she was done,she stood there waiting for the king to arrive while roaming her eyes round the dinning room.
Soon,Carl returned with King Lucian
“Good evening my king” Adelaide immediately bowed
Lucian looked at her closely
“Isn’t she the…..”
“New maid who is always in trouble” Carl completed and Lucian nodded before sitting down
“Thank you for saving me again my king” Adelaide bowed
King Lucian ignored what she said
“Enjoy your meal….”
“Taste it” Carl cut Adelaide off and her eyes widened
“Huh? I should taste the King’s food?” She asked and lick her lips,she was starving as Füçk and it’s not a good idea to taste the food at all
“Yes,go on” Carl said and Adelaide stood there looking confused
“What are you waiting for?” Carl asked coldly
“I can’t……” She stopped and released a gasp when Carl removed his sword and placed it on her neck
Adelaide almost fainted and her expression was funny
“I….I will…taste it” She stammered
Carl returned his sword back into the sheath and Adelaide moved closer
King Lucian only stared at her without saying a word
Adelaide took the chopstick and tasted from the first plate,
Her eyes widened,it’s like the most delicious food she has ever tasted,she went ahead to the second plate.
Like that she kept on eating,but when she got to the last plate,she lost control of herself and began eating the food hungrily
Carl’s eyes widened in total shock as he watched her eating like she have never tasted food.
King Lucian also couldn’t believe his eyes and then Adelaide came back to her sense and looked up to see them staring at her
The chopstick in her hand dropped,she blinked her eyes twice and gulped. She immediately wished the ground can just swallow her at that moment
Without thinking twice,she fainted on the floor out of embarrassment.
