Eleanor was busy directing the maids to their different morning duties.
“There’s going to be a general dinner at the palace dining hall tonight,you know that right?” She asked
“Yes head maid” The Maids answered
“Only those who work in the kitchen are allowed to go in,if you don’t belong there and I find you,there’s going to trouble. And besides,I will always be there when you cook” She said and the maids nodded
“Hey Eleana” She heard Kai’s voice from the back and she immediately turned
He was dressed up already
“You’re leaving?” Eleanor asked
“Yeah,I wanted to see your face again before I leave” Kai muttered and grabbed her hand
“I will be back” Eleanor said to the maids as Kai dragged her away
“Wow,is that her boyfriend? He’s so handsome” One of the maids said and others nodded In agreement.
Kai released Eleanor’s hand after some steps away
He faced her and touched her hair
“You look really beautiful without that uniform” He said and Eleanor smiled
“You too,you look like the Kai I know now” Eleanor said
Kai hugged her
“I don’t know if I will see you again before I finally leave,but once I’m back again. You will be first person I will visit” He muttered
“I doubt that,you would have gotten a girlfriend by then” Eleanor replied and Kai broke the hug
“I’ve not thought about that,maybe you’re right” He said and they both laughed
“I want to see Adelaide too,but I don’t think I can” Kai muttered
“I guess,don’t worry I’m going to tell her about your departure” Eleanor said
“Then…bye” Kai said
“I’m going to miss you” Eleanor said
“Of course I know” Kai nodded
He started walking away but then turned back again
“One more thing….” He walked back to her and pecked her cheek
“Don’t tell Jimmy” He winked and Eleanor laughed before waving at him,watching as he walked away

ROYAL COURT ROOM**
Adelaide was guarded in by four guards and immediately her eyes roamed round the large room,the royal councils seams to be much more than she had imagined.
The guards left the room and Adelaide walked to the front
“Good Morning everyone,I’m Adelaide” She introduced herself and bowed shortly
“Good to meet you lady Adelaide” The councils all chorused and bowed too.
Adelaide gently took the seat next to the king,they both exchanged glances and she looked away.
“The assembly can start now” King Lucian placed an order and everywhere became silent as the first council got up.
“Lady Adelaide,You’re welcome into the royal family. We are so happy to meet our future queen” he bowed
Adelaide smiled while she listened
“We will like to know more about you,if the king would grant us the permission to do that”
King Lucian turned to Adelaide and she nodded gently before King Lucian faced the man again
“Permission Granted” He said
“Thank you your majesty” They all chorused

KAI’S PLACE**
Kai entered the big mansion and immediately the guards bowed
“Welcome young master”
Kai only smiled in response,he was about going in when Gracie,his kid sister ran out,she’s eighteen years old and she’s a complete beauty goddess
“Brother!!” She shouted,running toward him
“Careful doll” Kai chuckled as she finally hugged him
He lifted her up,hugging her more tightly
“Finally you’re home,how was the palace……..” Kai immediately covered her mouth with his palm
“Don’t tell me you told father I was in the palace all these while” Kai frowned
“Of course not,we made a deal right? And besides,father would have visited the palace if he knew” Gracie said and Kai nodded
“You’re right” He muttered
They started walking into the house
“I’ve missed you so much brother,remember you promised to buy me a lot of dresses and jewelries if I keep your secret…..”
“Gracie,can we at least talk about this later?? Huh?” Kai faced her
Gracie pouted and nodded gently
They entered the house and their mother,Susan showed up first
“Son!” She called happily and Kai hugged her
“Welcome son,I’ve missed you so much” Susan said
“Me too mother,it’s so good to be back home” Kai said and broke the hug
“Where’s Father?” He asked
“He went for a meeting at the palace” Susan replied
“What?!” Gracie and Kai shouted at a time
“What’s wrong?” Susan asked
“When….did father started attending palace meeting?” Gracie asked
“Oh,recently. He joined the royal councils and he’s one of them now” Susan replied with a smile
Gracie and Kai exchanged glances and they started walking away together
“Mother,can you inform the maids to prepare my favorite? I’m starving” Kai said before he left with Gracie
“Of course dear son” Susan smiled

“What was that? Brother,you just escaped narrowly” Gracie said immediately they entered Kai’s room
“Beats me,I wonder what father would have done if he saw me wearing a guards uniform” Kai said and Gracie’s eyes widened
“You were a guard?!!!” She screamed
“How?!!! You didn’t tell me!!! I…….”
“Gracie!!” Kai covered her mouth but she still struggled to speak
“I will buy you anything you want,now keep quiet before mother finds out” Kai said,still covering her mouth
Gracie slowly nodded and he finally let her go
“But,brother. You told me you have something to take care of in the palace,you didn’t tell me you would work as a guard” Gracie said
“That’s the only way to get in there” Kai rolled his eyes
Gracie moved closer to him
“Did you get hurt? Are you sick? Did anyone beat you?” She started checking his body
“I’m totally fine” Kai smiled
“So,did you get what you went there for?” Gracie asked
“Unfortunately,I didn’t. I’m such a loser” Kai mumbled
Gracie hugged him
“You’re not a loser”She muttered
“Thank you doll,I love you” Kai said and kissed her hair
“I love you more” Gracie said with a smile
She broke the hug
“How about we go out and eat?? Take me out…..please” She pouted
“Okay then,I will get dressed. Tell the maids not to worry” Kai said
Gracie nodded and immediately left the room
