“Noooooo” Echo screamed and woke up from the bed sweating so much. Beads of sweats covered her forehead as she was panting.
She sat up on the bed as she reminisced what happened in the dream. It was like it happened in real life.
She got down from the bed and then went to wash up quickly in the bathroom. She finished in few minutes and then headed out of her room.
As she was getting closer to the living room she started hearing voices. It was that of Iris and her husband.
Instead of intruding she decided to eavesdrop on their conversation. They wouldn’t see her anyways.
“What did the shaman say” It was Iris whose voice was heard.
“She said that our misfortunes would continue to increase if we don’t send her away” Her husband replied and Echo heard Iris sigh.
“What do we do now? If she knows that she’s a cursed child she would take it so hard on herself” Iris said and Echo gasped where she was.
Was she the one they were talking about? She’s a cursed child all along.
“I have a suggestion to make” Iris husband said and Iris gestured for him to go on.
“Why don’t we sell her off to that brothel. She’s even beautiful so she would make enough money for us” Howard, Iris husband suggested and Iris had to cover his mouth to stop talking.
“Do you know the gravity of what you just said, sell her off like she means nothing to us” But Howard just rolled his eyes.
“Didn’t you hear me earlier, she’s a cursed child and she can’t cause us any good . If she continues to stay hear things would continue to be hard for us”
“Fine. But we would tell her. It would be so heart breaking when she learns that we are about to sell her into prostitution” Iris said and Howard nodded.
Echo covered her mouth so she wouldn’t make any noise. Tears were trickling down her cheeks.
The people who she calls family. The ones whom she thinks she has. People who she have Loved and she thought they loved her also.
And now she were planning on selling her away. They didn’t even think about it. Maybe she’s really a cursed child afterwards.
Then she shook her head and turned back heading back to her room. This was too much for her to take in.
She went back to her room still crying. It was so heartbreaking. An idea popped up in her mind.
She went to the small bag where she kept her clothes and then she arranged them all together.
She hanged the small bag at her shoulder and then went to the only window in her room. She checked the height from it to the ground.
It was not that high so she escaped through the window and then she glanced at the house one more time before going away with no place in mind.
Back in the house, Reine came to call Echo from her room. She was wondering why she was the first to wake before her.
Normally she was always the one waking up first and then she’ll come disturb her in her room.
So Reine thought that she was extremely tired that was why she did not wake up that early.
She opened the door to Echo’s room but she was not in bed. Her brows creased and then she went further to look for her.
Check-in every nook and cranny in the room but she didn’t find Echo. Then she went to the kitchen next.
No one was there. She went to the living room maybe her Mum might know of her whereabouts.
“Mum I can’t find Echo. Do you happen to send her on an errand” Reine asked.
“No I haven’t seen her maybe she’s in her room” Iris replied.
“I already checked her room but she isn’t in”
“She can’t just disappear you might not have checked well” Iris said and Reine sighed before going to check Echo’s room again.
Howard then looked at Iris who stared back at him.
“Are you thinking what I’m thinking? What if she heard us?” Howard asked but Iris shook her head.
“That’s not possible” Iris said.
Then Reine came back worried because she didn’t see Echo anywhere around the house.

Echo was walking with her bag hanged around her shoulder. She had no destination in mind.
She was hearing footsteps from where she was so she got scared and held her bag tightly.
The footsteps got nearer and fear gripped her. She increased her pace but it was like the more faster she went, the more the footsteps got nearer.
Her fear didn’t let her look back and she was even starting to regret why she left the house in the first place.
She would have confronted Iris and Howard first before taking decision on her own.
The footsteps got louder and then she began running that she couldn’t even feel her legs.
She failed to see a stone at her front and then she hit the stone and then fell down. The shadow that was following her became clear to her view.
It came closer to Echo and Echo shifted back on her butts. Her big toe got wounded cause of the stone that hit her leg but it didn’t affect her because of the shadow that already opened it’s mouth.
Two fangs showed out of the mouth and it increased her fears. Does the shadow wants to eat her. Then she closed her eyes waiting for the worst to happen.
Just as the shadow brought it face to her a big ball of fire came it’s direction and then it faded away turning to dust.
After waiting for some minutes, Echo opened her eyes but the shadow was no longer there any more.
She looked up to see a tall looking man. His back view was facing her and he was dressed in a long black robe.
His dark shinny long hair was moving by the wind and then when he turned to face Echo, she lost her breath immediately.
Even though there were scars on his face, she knew he still looked handsome. His body features says it all.
He looked so familiar to her. Just like the man she sees always in her dream but the only difference was the scars on the face.
Echo was still lost staring and then she opened her mouth to talk but the only thing that came out was,
“Roman god” But it came out in a whisper.

A dark sorceress was a dark room sitting on a throne full of thorns. She had so many dark shadows moving around.
They were like her servants. Everyday she gets to create a shadow that’s meant to serve her. It’s like a special gift she possess.
But in this case, she uses her gifts for evil. She possess this shadows to do evil things for her.
Recently her powers has not been working effectively like it has been and she was told that another person is about to possess the same powers that she have.
And bit by bits her powers would wither away until she becomes powerless. But she was never ready to accept such fate.
A shadow appeared in front of her and then went on its knees.
“Did you kill the girl just like I asked you to” Her voice rented the whole place that some of the Shadows working had to pause and goan hide.
That’s because when she gets angry she tends to vent it on everything she sees until she is finally satisfied.
“I’m sorry my queen but I couldn’t kill her” The shadow said with it’s head still down. It dare not look up.
“Why didn’t you kill her, is it until she takes over me” She yelled and then she stretched her hands till it reached the shadow tummy.
She inserted her long dark nails into the stomach of the shadow and then it groaned and screamed as Black blood came out of its stomach till it slowly turned to dust.
Fading away to dust but this Time it had gone forever.
She brought the black blood to her lips and then she licked her fingers one by one as the blood was sweet on her lips.
When she was done she smirked and then stood up from her throne and looked around.
“I won’t let anyone take my throne away from me” She screamed and it made her whole castle to shake.
She was going to rule and anyone who wants to take her throne from her must die by her hands.
