“It just happened to be a coincidence. Cheng might have turned into a demon on the night your mother died, but he wasn’t the one who killed her, the King himself killed your mother.
⟨ FLASHBACK ≈ 23 YEARS AGO ⟩
Osvaldo made some incantations, and Isha appeared on the mirror.
“Why did you summon me? Didn’t things turn out well?” Isha asked.
“Of course it did. Cheng is now a demon, he destroyed so many things in the palace, and everyone in the palace is hating on him, sooner or later, he is going to be h@tëd by everyone in Maelstrom” Osvaldo said, smiling.
“Are you happy?” Isha asked.
“Of course I am happy Isha. I have finally gotten what I wanted, and since I have been a good father to Cheng, no one will ever think I am the reason he became a demon” Osvaldo said, and the tray Zain’s mother was holding, fell down from her hand.
“I… I… I… didn’t hear anything you said” She said, rushing to leave, but Osvaldo ordered her to stop walking.
“I forbid you to leave this room!” He ordered and Zain’s mother halted her feet, shaking in fear, and when she turned to look at him, Osvaldo killed her with a sword.
“Since you already know I am the person responsible for Cheng transforming into a demon, you have to die, and I am going to make everyone in the palace believe that you died when Cheng attacked the palace with his dark magic.”
⟨ FLASHBACK ENDS ≈ PRESENT DAY ⟩
“I have to make him pay for killing my mother” Zain said with so much anger in his eyes. He tried to walk a way, but Tatiana stopped him for doing us.
“Killing him is just a piece of cake, Zain” Tatiana said.
“What do you want me to do, that man needs to pay for everything he has done to my mother. He killed my mother!!” Zain said, loudly.
“Don’t let your anger get the best of you. If you kill him right now, you will be labeled as a bad person. No one will actually believe that Osvaldo is a bad man” Tatiana said.
“What should I do then? Ignore everything like it never happened?” Zain asked, with watery eyes.
“Leave everything to me Zain. Osvaldo also hurt the man I love, and I have to make him pay for everything he has done to Cheng. Everyone must find out that he is not a good man like he claims to be. Don’t grant him death so easily, he shall beg for death, but death will never come, that the kind of punishment I want for Osvaldo and Isha” Tatiana said.
“Why do you want to punish my father Tatiana?” Waylon asked, looking at both Tatiana and Zain.

⟨ ZAIN’S HOUSE ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
“Can you stop crying, my ears hurts from hearing your cries” Anisha said to Kenji.
“I was so mean to him Anisha, what if he reports me to the King, and my head is being chopped off for mistreating the last prince of Maelstrom” Kenji said crying.
“Well, that’s what you get for mistreating Ansel…. I mean Prince Jai. But if he wanted you dead, you’d have been dead” Anisha said.
“You were nice to him, aren’t you mad at him for lying to you?” Kenji asked cleaning his tears.
“No I am not mad at him. I kind of understand why he lied to me. If he had introduce himself as the last prince of Maelstrom, we won’t have talked to him informally. We’d have been scared to talk to him. Prince Jai wanted us to be friends and that’s why he lied about his identity” Anisha said, smiling.
“Is easy for you to say, because you have been nice to him”.
“No one asked you to be mean to him. I understand that you were jealous I have another friend apart from you, but that didn’t give you any right to treat him badly”
“What should I do?” Kenji asked.
“I don’t know. You have to find a way to apologize to him, as for me, I am going to ask my royalty friend to give me a tour around in the palace” Anisha said, smiling.
“Stop daydreaming, because it’s never going to happen” Kenji said.
“What makes you think he won’t give me a tour around the palace?” Anisha asked with her hands on her waist.
“He might be a prince, but doesn’t mean he has a say in the palace, which means he can’t bring you to the palace, and even if your brother is working for the king, a commoner will always be a commoner” Kenji said, and Anisha frowned her face.

⟨ PALACE OF MAELSTROM ≈ SAME NIGHT ⟩
“Why aren’t you sleeping Cheng?” Queen Vanya asked sitting beside Cheng. He was still outside looking at the moon.
“I couldn’t sleep no matter how hard I tried to mother” Cheng said.
“Is it because of Tatiana?” Queen Vanya asked, and Cheng looked at her with a sad smile.
“She is the only one who can make me sad like this mother” Cheng said.
“Have you tried talking to her?”
“I have mother, but she is refusing to say a word to me, all she keeps saying is I shouldn’t touch or come close to her, that I am going to get hurt” Cheng said with misty eyes.
“I am sure she is going to come around, just be patient with her” Vanya said, caressing his back.
“I hope so mother. I missed the relationship I had with Tiana. Back then, it was filled with so much love and care for each other, but now it as if we are separating from each other, as the day goes by” He said, and tears slowly fall down his eyes.
“Don’t be saddened Cheng, everything will be fine. Relationship always have its sweetness and bitterness. Right now what you are going through is the bitter taste of your relationship with Tatiana, but like I said earlier, she is going to come around, and the sweetest taste of your relationship will resume, alright” Vanya said, cleaning Cheng’s tears.
“Thank you so much for everything Mother”
“Don’t thank me Cheng, if your mother was still alive, she would have done more” Vanya said caressingly his hair, and Cheng smiled at her.
