Jake ride to the the middle of the empire “begin the search from here”he said indifferently not minding the people staring at him.
They still feared him,afterall some of them become a citizen of this empire cause he conquered their kingdoms and are only lucky to survived and not become a slave.
That aside,his nickname as the devil son never die down anyway and seeing him in person in the broad daylight cast fear into their minds.
Liam,chard and shuan nodded and begin the search at once while everyone watch them walk into thier houses without daring to say a word.
They all fear Jake especially the old one among them. Seeing him seem to br bringing some fearful memories back to them.
“Mom, who’s that with the bad prince”a little girl said pointing at juliana and jake turn toward them as if he heard the girl.
The mother shivered at his gaze on her daughter and went on her knees crying “my daughter is young and innocent, she just said what she thought”she begged sobbing.
Juliana look at jake confused since she clearly didn’t hear what the girl said cause they are at some distance from the girl and her mother.
The people watch the woman with pity especially those that heard what her daighter said but none of them chip into this cause they don’t want to get into trouble themselves.
Jake spoke to juliana telepathically with a sad smile on his face. The mother claimed her daughter is young and was only speaking rubbish but he knew that’s what she was made to know that she said.
He look away and ride to some distance from the crowd while juliana move to the woman and glared at her.
“Do you realized he supposed to kill you for this? Yes,it was your daughter who spoke but aren’t you the one who make her believe the last prince is bad??”she frowned and her gaze became cold.
“Ki…kill??”the woman shook in fear then suddenly frowned “are you defending him? My grandfather and father died eighteen year ago because of him so if anyone is to he called bad, it’s him, he’s worse”she sneered.
Who’s this lady defending the one that everyone h@të?? Can she go against the whole empire for his sake??
She concluded in her heart that she must be his mistress who have a crush on him and she chuckled.
“Are you his msitress? “She asked and juliana laughed drawing her sword “I’m his wife”she said and draw her sword completely and the woman flinched.
In her heart,she want to say some bad words to the wife of the most h@tëd man she knew but seeing her draw her sword scared her.
“Wife?”the people are curious and surprised,did the prince really got married and to someone who’s ready to defend him even when he keep quiet?
“I can just kill you if i want to,how dare you call me a mistress and even talk so badly about my husband in my presence?”she asked calmly but the woman is shaking from fear and her daughter clung to her clothes crying too.
Juliana hissed annoyed then walk away from them not ready to hurt them,they are qll like this anyway,can she kill them all for jake? Yes but she can’t.
She won’t kill all these people cause of what they think and say about jake, since jake didn’t touch them then she can’t either.
Jake smiled when she rode to him and try to hid the sadness lingering behind that smile,he can’t believe even a little girl sees him as a bad person when all he have ever done is protect the empire.

They returned to the palace late at night after searching almost all the houses but there’s no single trace of heren anywhere.
They report back to the king and for unknown reason he was furious “this is all your fault,if you had ended their usel*ss lives when you captured them and not prove to be a br*t and go against me,i won’t be worrying about some traitor now “he snapped at jake who remained indifferent and calm.
He seem to also regret his decision og really keeping them alive,who knows where she is now??
He sighed heavily and listen to hos father ranting angrily but didn’t say a single word.
He knew the old man will be like this and that’s why he sent juliana back to his chamber before he came to report the progress of the search.
“Find her and k*ll her or bare the consequences, what if she’s a spy? What if they are planning against my empire?”he lost it when he see jake remains indifferent.
“I understand,i will try to find her”he said but the king seem to have some other things in mind “you are only useful for wars,you are so useless alongside your agressive demon”he yelled.
A loud inhuman growls was heard after that statement, Valdez who stood low all these while finally made his presence know in his owner’s body.
Jake’s eyes flashed a flaming red dangerously and the king shut up immediately not daring to say another word of insult.
Jake shook his head violently and cast a scornful look at the king then teleport out of there.
The king frowned after this”i should have killed him since his father stopped coming,he said he will only visit him twice and he did already which mean he won’t be coming again,i will this bastard before he loose his mind completely”the king said within grinned tooth.
He wanted to walk down his throne and out of the hall when he felt a terrifying chilling aura building in the hall.
“You are really bold enough to wish my son dead and even planned to kill him”the voice boomed and he shook in fear.
He knew what this voice is,he knew this voice! The last time he heard it was after Jake’s birth eighteen years ago and nothing good came out of it.
He stood rooted to the spot unable to make another move and slowly he appeared out of the darkness.
His aura is terrifying and he blend into the darkness like shadow and flash a devilish smirk at the king.
The king was filled with fear at this point and he doesn’t even know what to do.
Why can’t he just control himself and not think about killing the devil son after ge learnt his lesson the hard way the last time?
