“Why are you punishing me? I did nothing wrong,” Kalinda said out loud and Camilla looked at her
She looked around and when she didn’t see anyone she returned her gaze to Kalinda staring at her with that look that say “are you kidding?”
“The boy,” Kalinda heard her immortal being said inside her head
Kalinda still holding her neck that was burning, tried to stand but fell to the ground, fear gripped Camilla instantly as she watch her display the art before her eyes, she didn’t know what to do or how to help
“Kalinda,” Camilla called gently, she fell beside Camilla and gently touched her body
“AHHH!” Camilla shouted and withdraws her hand, she looked at her hand and then at Kalinda, she could see the blood running down her nose with her eyes closed
“Am dying,” Kalinda muttered rolling around in a cycle on the floor, she could feel a hand choking her as she started running out of breath, no matter how she tried to catch her breath she just couldn’t
Camilla ran back home and without knocking she burst into their house and that was when Matilda came back from the market, she looked at Camilla with a confused look before speaking
“What can I do you for, daughter of Captain Derek,” Matilda asked, she dropped the big bowl in her and stared at Camilla
“Kalinda, she’s….. she’s….. she’s dying…. and then….. she …… I mean there is this….. there is…. I dunno but a red… yes…. a red light….. and then…. and then…. she’s dying and she said…. yes….. she said something about Hunter.…. yes… and then she said tell hunter to stop,” Camilla stuttered breathing heavily
Matilda was silent for a while trying to process the whole thing cos she was a little bit confused
“You have to help her,” Camilla shouted and Matilda looked at her
“Take me to her,” she said and Camilla ran away going to where she left Kalinda

HUNTER AND VIOLA

Xavier went into their house to see his mother smoking from her tobaccos pipe, that’s what she always does, he has tried telling her to stop smoking but it’s like he’s watering a stone
“Minerva, you sent for me,” he said immediately after he went in
“You mean since yesterday?” she asked with a straight face
“I was on duty, I can’t be your delivery boy. have got things to do,” Xavier replied, he walked to the table and took an apple, and took a little bit
“Where is your brother? He should be with you,” she said and he looked at her
“did you call me down here just so you could ask about Robin, Minerva I have got things to do, and if you won’t talk then am leaving,” Xavier dropped the apple on the table going over to the door
“don’t you dare walk out on me Xavier, have you lost it?” his mother shouted and he stopped and looked at her
“What do you want Minerva,” he asked with a straight face
“I change my mind, go call your brother for me, I told him not to come back without you but since you’re here now go back and call him, he has things to do for me,” she said and he looked at her
“you must have told him not to come back without me that’s why he’s not back yet, Minerva you of all people knows that Robin will not come back if you asked him not to, you just like stressing me out, stop it cos it’s annoying,” Xavier said, he opened the door and left
“Don’t forget to call your brother,” Minerva shouted but he slammed the door angrily

HUNTER’S HOUSE
Kalinda is lying lifelessly on the bed with sweat all over her face, Camilla took the already wet towel around her face and deep it inside the small bowl beside her, she soaked it with cold water and rinse it off before putting it back on Kalinda’s forehead
Hunter stood watching the lifeless Kalinda while Viola stood by the door
“Is she gonna die?” Camilla asked immediately Hunter’s mother came into the room
She looked at her before taking her gaze to Hunter
“I know that this day will come that’s why I told you not to touch her when she first came but you never listen,” Matilda said and Hunter furrow his brows
“How does that have anything to do with this mother?” he asked, he opened his hands wide apart staring confusedly at his mother
“You created a bond with her the moment you touched her, she will be in pain if you’re with another woman and the same applies to you, did you get it now?” Matilda said more like yelling
Hunter kept quiet
“I know that a day like this will come, I was so stupid to think the prophecy will be diverted but little did I know that it will come looking for me at my home,” Matilda added, she looked at Kalinda before looking at Hunter
“What should we do now? Is there no way for her to be fine again,” Camilla asked
“Only the night wisps can heal her,” Viola said by the door
Everyone looked at her, they have even forgotten that she was there
“What’s that?” Hunter asked confused
“The creatures of magic,” she added and Hunter fixed his gaze on her
“You knew? So you knew and you made me do it?” he asked and Viola shook her head negatively
“No, I have no idea that you both are bonded together as one, I only know that she’s your protector but I don’t know if you both have any relationship,” Viola said
“Lier, you made me…..”
“I swear it, I dunno!!” Viola shouted and Hunter kept quiet
“Now is not the time to blame anyone, she needs to get better, we can’t let this red line around her neck kill her,” Camilla yelled and they looked at her
“Where can it be found? We can’t let her die,” Camilla added and Matilda stared at her
“It’s very dangerous out there,” Matilda said and Camilla looked at her
“So, should we let her die then? We have to help her if going into the lion’s den will give her life then am going,” Camilla said, she stood up heading to the door
“Am coming with you,” Viola said and she shook her head negatively
“No, just tell me where to find it,” Camilla replied and Viola looked at Matilda before taking her gaze to Hunter
Viola looked at Kalinda and gulped nothing
“By the south of the city, deep into the woods, seeing it is rare. Legend has it that it only appears to those that are pure in the heart,” Viola replied and Camilla nodded
“Thank you,” Camilla said going out
“Am coming with you,” Hunter shouted going after her
“No, there will be no need for that,” she replied and he looked at her
“Why?” he asked gently
“She needs someone to stay by her side when she wakes up, it’s the least you can do since you’re the course of her problem,” Camilla replied and without waiting for his reply she walked away
