A SMALL VILLAGE IN THE SOUTH ?
Camilla and Xavier were staring at Kalinda and Chad
“Have never seen her this happy,” she muttered and Xavier who was beside her nodded in agreement
“I know right? She’s always rude,” Xavier replied
Camilla who was resting her head on his shoulder slowly lifted her head and stared at him before shifting her gaze to his lips, she smiled afterward and rest her head back
“What are you thinking about?” he asked and she chuckled
“Nothing,” she bit her lower lips hard and inhaled
Xavier took his hand to her face, gently caressing her cheeks
“What could they be talking about,” Camilla asked, she held her hand that was on her cheek before placing a soft kiss on it
“Hey, am not a woman,” Xavier shouted and she laughed, he took his hand making her raise her head off his shoulder
Xavier smiles at her cuteness, gently taking his hand to her neck, they stared deep into each other’s eyes
“You’re pretty,” he muttered and she blushed
“And you’re handsome, just the way I want it,” she replied in a low tone
Her voice alone send a sensitive message to his body, he started leaning closer and she did the same, Just when their lips were about to touch Hunter walked up to them with Viola, Xavier kissed her lightly and pulled away
“Where is Kalinda?” Hunter asked looking around
“Over there,” Camilla replied pointing at her
“They seem to be having a good time,” Viola muttered, her gaze fixed on her
Hunter was busy staring at Kalinda who was running around and laughing with the little boy, Jefferson walked up to them with a woman who looks like she was in her 50s
“Sorry guys, I don’t understand what she’s saying that’s why I brought her here,” Jefferson said, he looked around trying to find Kalinda and when he didn’t see her he frowned
“Where is …..”
“Over there,” Camilla didn’t let him finish his question before cutting in
“Oh,”
“Ma’am, do you know where we can find this tomb?” Hunter asked, showing her the drawing on a piece of paper
The woman nodded
“At the cemetery, north of the city, just a few miles away but Legend has it that the tomb must be opened by the one who bears the key, King Tyrone stationed his sorceress on it, they have been trying to breathe it down for days,” the woman replied calmly and they nodded
“We should get going,” Kalinda said coming toward them with the boy beside her
“Going near it means certain death, Prince Tyrone II has taken over, he believes his father’s twisted bargain “killing to stay alive,” the woman added
“We don’t have much time left,” Hunter said, he held Kalinda’s hand and the little boy quickly hit his hand away
Jefferson saw that and grinned
“She’s my girlfriend now,” Chad said, staring at Hunter with seriousness
They all raised their brows
“You will probably get one when you grow older,” Viola replied and he scoffed
“Am I little now? As a matter of fact, we are getting married soon,” he added
They looked at Kalinda confused, Kalinda on the other hand looked away without saying a word
She keeps gulping down the smiles on her throat
“What do you know about girlfriend,” Jefferson asked, he walked over to him and stopped right before him
The boy smirked and went close, stepping on Jefferson’s toes he bent a little so the boy could say what he wanted to say
“Should I just tell them what you think when you look at him and her?” Chad whispered into his ear, pointing at Hunter first before pointing at Kalinda
Jefferson’s frowned at him
“I have nothing to hide….”
“Do you think there is something you can hide from me? Am a seer, a listener, a healer, and a priest,” he added and Jefferson gulped nothing
“So whose girlfriend is she?” he asked again and Jefferson swallowed
“Yours,” he replied and Chad pat his back
“Good boy,” he said, Jefferson bailed his fist tightly
”No need balling your fist you won’t do anything to me,” he added and winked at him before going over to Hunter
Hunter stared at Jefferson’s grumpy face before looking at Chad
“What did he say?” Xavier asked and Jefferson kept quiet
“Jefferson,” Xavier called
“Nothing,” he replied gently
Chad looked at Hunter and a dangerous smirk lingered on his face
“I have only one question, whose girlfriend is she?” Chad asked staring directly into his eyes
Everyone exchanged glances
Hunter looked at Jefferson before returning his gaze to the boy
“Your girlfriend,” Hunter said as if he could read Chad’s mind
“Good boy, now let’s go get going,” he said with a smile
“You’re not going, both you and Camilla are staying here the Prince is mine to kill,” Kalinda said curtly
“I have been wanting to kill the prince for a very long time, so he is mine,” Jefferson said sharply
“As a new king, I think I should be the one to kill him,” Hunter said and Jefferson looked at them, he burst out laughing
They all stared at him confused, what’s funny? Hunter said he is gonna kill the prince so why is he laughing?
“What’s so funny, huh?” Camilla asked
“Are you kidding? He hasn’t even fought for the first time then how do you expect him to waste the Prince?” Jefferson asked laughing
“he may battle alone but he fights with the strength of many, don’t underestimate him,” Kalinda said defending Hunter
“It’s not that I am, but come on, we all know that’s you’re the sword and …..”
“And if I give you his head what will you give me in return?” Hunter suddenly asked
They all looked at him in shock
“Oh, come on, not because she fights for you and you want to……”
“The question was simply just answer it,” Hunter cut in,
how dare Jefferson belittle him, he can’t keep quiet and allow them to mess with him just because he’s not so good with sword fighting, he’s gonna do what is expected of him even if it means dying while trying at least that way he won’t be a coward, right?
“They said that you’re a king right?” Jefferson asked and he nodded
“Then I will be your loyal servant as long as I live, but if I happen to be the one to waste the prince what will be my price?” Jefferson asked and he smirked
“Wh@tëver you desire will be yours,” Hunter replied without thinking twice
“Seriously, do you both have to do this?” Viola asked staring from one person to another
“It is what it is, he brought up a challenge when he can’t even hold a knife properly let alone hold a sword,” Jefferson said in a mockery tone and walked way
Others followed
“bye girlfriend, come back self,” Chad shouted
Kalinda blow him kisses and he blushed
“What about me,” Viola asked with a sad expression
“Oh, please,” he rolled his eyes and let out a loud sound with his mouth
Kalinda maintain a straight face but immediately she shifted away from the other, she quickly covered her mouth with her palm, laughing, she laughed so hard but because of her palm covering her mouth they weren’t able to notice
Camilla hit Chad’s head lightly
“You little thing,” she mumbled, and Chad frown
“I have a grown girlfriend now, show some respect,” he said and Camilla looked at him, she didn’t waste a second before grabbing his ear
“Ahhhh, my ear…. am telling my girlfriend…. ahhhh,”
“Am a grown @$$ man, you can’t treat me like this,” Chad shouted, Camilla, pulled off her Snickers hitting his buttocks with it
“Ahhh…. My butt… My ear, my girlfriend… Arghhhhh… I will tell your secret to his secret and their secret to everyone’s secret, you’re dead once I get my hands on you….
