One, two, three cheese, Izna screamed as they
took a picture together
Let me see, Jasmine said and grabbed the
camera
OMG what’s this, the camera didn’t capture my
face well, what’s this, Mason screamed when he
saw the picture
This shouldn’t be the first time you know that
you are ugly, Chloe said
Jasmine and Izna laughed
You skinny rat, Mason yelled
Adrian chuckled
They were actually on an outing
They had dragged him away after they had
breakfast
They probably knew that he was hurting and
wanted him to have fun
He smiled
Gosh I am starving already, Mason said rubbing
his stomach
You ate all almost all the bread that I thought
that you wouldn’t feel hungry in the next three
years, Chloe said
Jasmine, Izna and Adrian laughed
Why the hell are you picking on me today, he
screamed

stormed off
They all went after him laughing
They had lunch and did some other things too
It was already getting late and Izna wanted to
go home immediately
Well there is a curfew in his house
As a result they all decided to go home

Yeah I can’t believe I missed school for you,
Chloe mumbled

was his father’s car

His parents were in the kitchen preparing dinner
Mum, he screamed and rushed to hug her

Teddy left the room with Adrian trailing after

They got to the living room, Teddy stopped and

mom been cured, Adrian asked

Adrian looked at him in confusion

No doctor here could diagnose her illness not to
talk of even finding a solution
But I heard that in a place, there is a doctor there
that is familiar with things like this
I talked to your mother and she also wants you
there, which I agreed too because I can’t let you
stay here alone
We are already bad parents for leaving you
alone all the time, Terry explained
But but, dad you know I grew up here, and I will
leave everything and my friends too

tears

I wanted to ask where you want us to go

was lunch time
The students rushed out to have lunch

I am leaving, he said
Leaving where, the class?, Mason asked
No I am leaving the country, he replied
They all gasped
Chloe stood up in shock
Are you leaving because of Melissa, She asked
Where did this come from, Izna asked
Not because of Melissa, because of my mom
Dad finally found a doctor for her outside
America, he replied
Chloe sighed
Can’t you stay behind, it’s your mum that’s
receiving the treatment anyway not you,

Yes that’s right don’t you remember our promise
to go to the same nursery school, elementary
school, high school, College and even work at
the same place, Mason asked him
Izna bit his lips
Adrian, Chloe called
They all turned to her
Forgive me for being blunt but you have to
leave, she said
They all stared at her in surprise
I mean we all know your mum has been ill for
years but they can’t even name the illness and
the illness itself is getting worst
She might not survive it this time, and I am sure
she wants you by her side
Every other promise we made together comes

You shouldn’t even be thinking about this,

I am not being negative but you will regret it, id
you don’t leave with her

things

He burst into tears immediately

He sobbed for a while before pulling away
I am sorry mom, I was just sad, I will miss
everyone, he said
It’s okay and normal, Bianca laughed
You can make new friends when you get there,

Adrian bit his lips

even if you refused , Teddy said
He looked at him

An emperor here doesn’t want to loose him
empress, so please stay with us, Adrian said
Bianca and Teddy smiled
Let’s pack your things together, Bianca said
Yes empress, Adrian bowed
They all laughed
The next day
Adrian and his parents were already in the
airport
He looked around, he couldn’t believe he was
leaving
If someone had told him that he would be
leaving America three days ago, he wouldn’t
have believed it
But it doesn’t matter, he will stay with his mom
right, he thought
Adrian, Someone called
He turned back
He was surprised to see Chloe, Jasmine, Izna
and Mason
He went to them immediately
Why are you here, he asked
What else, we are here to see you off, Mason
replied
Jasmine’s eyes was very red

Chloe looked at her and sighed

everyday, Adrian said

Adrian hugged him, Mason burst into tears

He pulled away and wiped his tears

Izna stepped forward and gave him a box
I stayed up late yesterday to make you a lot of
dishes
Your favorite spaghetti and chicken, and some
snacks are in there
It’s all I can do, Izna said looking down
Adrian patted his back
Take care Adrian, you are always my friend,
Chloe said
Adrian smiled at her
He glanced at Jasmine before leaving
Jasmine burst into tears immediately he left
Chloe sighed
He is gone now, you should move on, she told
Jasmine
