I replied,
” she is not in my room”
he looked at me in a suspicious manner and
said,
” her mum just came back from her room but
she wasn’t in her room”
I responded,
” let’s check outside or the kitchen maybe she’s
sleep walking. She better go back to her room if
not if she is outside it will be trouble.”
We left my room together. I made my last
statement as a warning to Chinasa so that she
can leave my room while I escort her dad to the
kitchen.
We checked the kitchen, the car garage and the
store house. We we’re still not able to locate her.
Her mum was already in the palour sobbing.
I suggested we check the her room again.
My bosses wife angrily replied,
“I checked she wasn’t in there. Or are you trying
to say am blind”
I replied,
” no ma I meant no disrespect ”
I don’t know why my bosses wife was harsh on
me. I guess is because she wasn’t able to feast
on the dragon sword.
My boss agreed that we recheck her room. We
were about going into her when she came out of
her room faking a sleepy face.
She asked,
” why the noise this night hope all is good ”
Her dad rushed and hugged her. He asked,
“where have you been your mum came to your
room but you where not in bed”
she replied,
“I was in the toilet I had a runny stomach”
I left them to do thier family talks while I went
back to the guest room and sleep. It was a close
one i was almost caught.
I was just praying for morning to come so that I
will just go to my father’s house.
I locked the door and slept off immediately I
don’t want any more problems with anyone.
The next morning my boss apologized for
thinking his daughter was in my room. They
begged I joined them for breakfast but I rushed
back home.
I reached home and found Cynthia in my house.
She came to tell me that school will be
resuming the next Monday. I told her I will
prepare so that we can leave by Sunday.
It was a planned stuff. I and Cynthia made it up.
We were both tired of staying at home so we
had to fake the resumption time so we can go
back to school.
My mom and dad were present when she told
me the fake news. My mom started to prepare
my foodstuffs while I told my dad not to worry
that I can sort my tuition fee. He enquired to
know how I got the money. I told him my bosd
paid me for the lesson I did for his children.
My dad was really happy and proud of me he
wanted to start preaching about my dressing,
my choice of music and my hairstyle. Thank
God a call entered Ignored the call but my dad
said,
” pick your call or it’s one of your girlfriends?
Don’t worry I know how you guys operate just
try and becareful in wh@tëver you do. Always
know that at this your age you have nothing to
offer to any young lady. Focus on your
education once your done and you have a job
you can start doing all you want. Not that I will
send you your monthly allowance and you will
share it with a girl”
Before my Dad could finish, the call ended he
was about starting another paragraph when the
person redialed my number.
I excused myself and picked the call it was
Maria. The woman I met at a party with Chidi
(kiri boy). She called to check up on me because
it’s been almost two weeks we haven’t spoken
on the phone or messaged.
I explained to her that my phone battery runs
down very fast, I don’t have a power bank and
also light is a big issue in my location.
She told me not to worry she understands and
would get me a new phone and also a power
bank. I thanked her. She asked about my
parents and siblings and told me extended her
greetings to them.
I ended the call and my mom called me to come
and help her arrange my foodstuffs.
I complained,
” mummy this bag is too heavy and you are not
done yet. I don’t like heavy loads while traveling”
My mom gave me a bombastic side eye and
said
” Kai Mai son abinchi, kachi da safé son biyu,
kachi da Rana son hudu da daré kam ba
magana inn bakayi barchi ba hutu bakinka sai
mosti. Kar ka gwada ni” ( you that eats twice in
the morning, four times in the afternoon and at
night till you sleep if not you will still be eating
and you are complaining my friend respect
yourself )
I grumbly helped her arranged the sack of
foodstuffs containing different things, ranging
from rice, groceries, yam and others.
Before we finished it was already 12pm I told
my mum I was hungry.
She laughed and said,
“bana fada ba, Kai da abinchi Kam sai gyaran
Allah. ka shiga dakinka yaruwarka ta aje
abincin ka a chan” ( I have said it you like food
more than anything. Your sister kept your food
in your room)
I replied,
” ohho de gindan baba ne aii. Ina yarinyan ki Ina
son in chi garowgarow da yamma” (it’s my
father’s house allow me to eat. where is your
daughter please I want to eat rice and beans in
the evening)
She told me to go and marry so that I can be
telling my wife what I want to eat anytime I
want.
I entered my room opened the flask and saw
Dan wake ( bean dumplings) my favorite. I
rushed it because I was very hungry.
I had a nap throughout the afternoon. I was
awoken by a phone call. I checked the caller, it
was Chinasa. ( what does she wants again?)
I picked the call and said,
” What’s up how are you”
she replied,
” Is that how you reply your babes call”
I asked,
” who is my babe”
She replied in a lovely calm voice,
” so even after last night you still want to deny
and hide your feelings for me. So when are we
seeing again or I should come to your house?”
(come to my house for what)
I replied,
“don’t worry next week I will come over”
I ended the call and blocked her line I also
blocked her mom’s line also.
In the evening I went out to stroll since I have
been home throughout. I didn’t notice that some
huge guys have been stalking me. I got to a
narrow path and the guys five in number,
Stopped me and thier boss said,
” just follow us to that car and you won’t be hurt
but if you try anything stupid, I won’t want to tell
you what will happen”
I wanted to be arrogant not until one of the guys
gave me a very handsome sla*p. The guy’s
hand felt like a wooden plank. I just respectfully
followed them.
They took me to a hotel and told me to go to
room 104. I just followed orders like a robot to
avoid another slap.
I got to the room open the door, I was shocked
by who I saw in the room.
Guess who was in the room.Her head was
wrapped with bandage. She saw me, hugged
me and said,
” thank God you are here what happened? how
did I got here?”
I replied,
“just relax I will explain to you later”
I left her, went to the doctor’s office to get the
list of her medication.
I knocked and I was welcomed into the office.
She handed me the prescription slip and told me
to go and get the drugs from the pharmacy.
On my way out she asked,
“are you sure she is your sister”
I smiled and asked,
“why are you asking”
she replied,
“nothing just wanted to know, because I didn’t
see any resemblance between the both of you”
I replied,
“well actually she is my friend but also like a
sister to me”
The doctor gave me a side look and said,
“so you sister zoned her men will not change”
I just laughed and said,
“it’s complicated but maybe when next I see
you I will explain”
she asked,
“where will you see me again or are you
planning on injuring your sister again just to
come back?”
I smiled and replied,
I heard that Dorcas broke up with her boyfriend
she caught him in bed with another guy. She
never knew the guy was bi. I felt pity for her.
As her former knacking partner, course mate
and friend I decided to visit her to make sure
she was okay.
I bought her favorite meal,drink and fruits. I got
to her house but was told she packed out.
I wanted it to be a surprise because I know she
won’t be expecting me at all. I had to call a
course mate that was kinda close to her. I got
her new address.
I was shocked she packed to my former
compound my room in particular.
I took a bike to the house. I knocked on the door
for almost 5 mins I think she’s sleeping.
I was about going back when she opened the
door. She was shocked to see me. She hugged
me very tight and said
” how did you know my house and my room ”
I smiled and said,
” have you forgotten it was my room before”
We both laughed and she welcomed me in.
I noticed her eyes were all swollen, her room
was scattered and she was looking slim and
si*ck. (the powers of breakfast)
I asked her,
“Dorcas have you been crying? why is your
room not arranged?”
She couldn’t answer but started to cry. I felt pity
for her I held her tight and encouraged her
saying,
” you are a vibrant and beautiful lady, many
men out thier will love and cherish you please
stop crying. Just because you are not with him
anymore doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world”
She kept on crying I had to shout at her to stop
crying. She said to me,” Mammanchi you
caused all this”
Shocked I asked,
“me? how?”
She replied,
“if you had accepted my proposal we would still
be together but you decided not to”
I didn’t like where the topic was heading to so I
just told her I brought her favorite meal and she
must finish everything but first let’s arrange her
room.
I helped her arrange her room and she ate her
food, took a shower and I stayed with her till
evening.
I got a call from Prisca I excused myself and
went outside to pick the call.
Phone conversation,
Prisca: hello am I on the phone with hardguy
Hardguy: Yes pretty doctor
Prisca: so you decided not to call me but you
want to flirt when I called
Hardguy: not so. school has really been though
that was why.
Prisca: I understand. So how are you doing?
Hardguy: am fine and you?
Prisca: am good just that work is stressing this
days.
Hardguy: sorry should I come and massage
you?
Prisca: I would really appreciate. How is your
friend health or should I say your sister.
Hardguy: (chuckle) she’s fine
………………….
We talked for almost 5 minutes before we
ended the call I went back into the room. Dorcas
looked at me and said,
” your girlfriend called you right?”
I laughed and replied,
” I don’t have a girlfriend and I don’t intend on
having one anytime soon”
she replied,
” wh@tëver. please can you spend the night with
me”
I wanted to reject the offer but she pleaded. I
spent the night in her room but nothing
happened between us.
We travelled for the excursion the journey was
smooth because the school and governor
sponsored it so we had everything we needed.
The first day as a committee member I made
sure everything was in the right place.
I went to the rest room to ease myself when
Docars followed me. One thing led to another
and we found ourselves kis*sing.
My hands where already on the melons doing
magic while her’s were massaging the dragon
sword.
We were still in the act when female figure
opened the door and caught us in the act.
Could this be the end of hardguy?
