Chapter eight

“Why are you keeping that lady alive? You know that it won’t do you any good.” One of Cyrus’godmother said.
“Or have you forgotten how he made you plead for mercy because of Ariel?”, The second added.
“Don’t bring Ariel into this.”, Cyrus said and they just sighed.
“Cyrus I know that you have emotions too but you can’t love because that will be your downfall, you will only end up being doomed.”, The last one said.
“I will make sure I don’t fall for her.”, He said.
“If anything goes wrong, it will all be on you.”, They said and he nodded.

#After a week
Harley made sure she stayed on lane and mind her business, her st*pid fantasy was over.
She made sure she stayed away like he said and he made it easier by not acknowledging you her.
Though it hurt for so much but it was best she ends wh@tëver she was feeling.
Alex has been doing a quite good job with Harley, he has been really patient with her during training.
Though she isn’t that good still but she is better compared to how she was before.
Ruby and Liam got very close to each other that Harley started thinking that her presence just disturbs them.
And Emily, she isn’t someone any better, she is rude and unfriendly.
“Hi I’m molly.”, A girl who walked up to Harley introduced herself.
“I’m Harley.”, Harley replied not quite comfortable with her.
It was as if she had some black aura in her, Harley tried reading her mind but it wasn’t that clear.
She surely has someone backing her up, nowadays she has been finding it really hard to read minds and she doesn’t know why.
Well reading minds isn’t her main power, her main power is seeing the future and death. Reading mind is just like for a protection, to know what others are thinking and to protect herself.
She felt that her main power is useless because she doesn’t choose to see the future, the image will just come to her anytime.
“Why aren’t you with your friends today?”, Molly asked and she just shrugged.
“I want to give them their privacy.”, She simply replied.
“Do you like lord Cyrus very much?”, Molly asked.
“What?”
“You see— it is very obvious that you like him very much and I want to make him reciprocate your feelings.”, She offered.
“Really? How would you do that?”, Harley asked curiously.
“You just have to keep appearing in his presence and do things that he likes, stay with him no matter how he pushes you away.”, She answered.
“Why do you want to help me?”
“I’m just devastated with what happened with Ariel, lord Cyrus must be so lonely and sad right now, I don’t want to see him like that.”, She said.
“Who is Ariel?”
“I don’t really know much but from what I heard, she is his ex girlfriend and lord Cyrus loved her so much that he fought his godmothers for her sake. Lord Cyrus was turned to a slave, he was brutally beaten and mocked by everyone just to save Ariel from the demons but it turned out that Ariel was working for the demons, she had only used him.”, Molly explained and Harley gasped.
“She did that to him? She is so cruel.”, Harley said.
“That’s why I want someone that is real like you in his life, I want you to stand by him no matter what.”, Molly said.
“I’m not sure if I can do that, he h@tës me right now and the only thing I can do is to avoid him.”, She replied.
“I will help you.”, Molly promised.

It was time for another mission.
They were informed that some demons were found in the forest and they were eating humans.
The students went into the Group of twos and they started fighting.
Molly went with Hansley, Liam went with ruby, Alex with Emily and Ember went with Cyrus.
Molly suddenly disappeared and so Harley was left all alone.
It was her first mission and she is all alone and scared.
She tried fighting some but some were to powerful for her.
“Please help me lord Cyrus, please help me.”, she said in her mind.
Cyrus heard it and wondered why he was hearing it, was it because of the bond?
He quickly left ember and went in search of Harley.
When he finally found her, she was surrounded by many demons who were ready to eat her.
Cyrus stretched his hand and his sword appeared and he started attacking them immediately.
He finally got to where Harley was and he held her waist and swung her around, burying her head in his chest.
Harley’s heart started beating extremely fast, this was the first time she was this close to him. She liked his hand in her waist but unfortunately it didn’t stay for long.
Harley saw one demon coming with a sharp knife aiming at Cyrus, she didn’t know what came over her, she just swing him around trying to take the knife.
The same person who had been so scared earlier is the same person who is not afraid if taking a knife for someone.
She just closed her eyes waiting for the sharp pain.
Cyrus quickly used his hand to stop the knife and his hand started bleeding.
Ember attacked the man from behind and he turned into ashes.
“Are … Are you okay? You are ble….”, Harley was still saying when Cyrus interupted her.
“Are you stupid or what? What do you think you were doing in front of me? Do you consider yourself a hero now?”, He yelled and Harley just looked down as tears gathered in her eyes.
“I told you that if you are willing to due so badly, don’t make me responsible. I don’t want to be associated with a stupid person, you know why you are stupid? … You don’t think things through twice.”, He yelled and ember just smirked.
All this while, she had been thinking that Harley was the one he created a bond with hut seeing what was happening made her very happy.
“Who do you think you are to save me?”, He asked.
“I — I just wanted …”, She just kept shuttering.
Ember wondered why Cyrus was so mad but she removed the thoughts away, Cyrus was always like this to all his students who fails to listen to instructions.
Harley bit her lower lip to prevent herself from crying, she had no reason to cry though, she would just humiliate herself in front of Cyrus and ember.
“You are bleeding, we should…”, Harley was still saying as she was about to take Cyrus hand but he pushed her away.
“You should stay away from me, I don’t want to see your face.”, He said and Harley just took some steps back dejectedly.
There was no way, Cyrus would ever give her a chance, all she sees in his eyes is just hatred for her and she h@tëd the fact that hers was the opposite.
“Oh my gosh! Cyrus you are bleeding, I was so scared when you left me.”, Ember said as she hugged Cyrus.
“Ember get ….”
He was about to say get away from me but Harley didn’t even wait for him to say one more word, she just ran away in tears.
“What do you think you are doing?”, He asked ember after she finally disengaged herself.
“I was just worried about you, I was scared.”, She replied.
“Don’t hug me again, I am not comfortable or I won’t be so nice to you next time.”, He said and walked away.
“Alex let’s see who gets Cyrus at the end.”, Ember muttered with a smirk.
