Henderson didn’t stop staring at her, she is mute. He understands the reasons why she silent.
“Are you okay?” Henderson asked. “Stop acting like you care about me” She replied and back him. Henderson stared at her back and slowly hugged her.
“Am doing this to protect you. I want you to be safe” Henderson said.
“You’re a Queen Amelia.
“I know. I know. But please lemme spend some days with you”
“Alright, you will spend just two days here with me” He said. She looked at him, surprised. “Just two days” She replied, demonstrated with her fingers. He nods. “Ashh! Just two?” She murmured and rolled her eyes..
“Who did you tell?” She asked, with a fixed gaze. “You don’t have to worry x Henderson said.
“I’ve talked about it.” He muttered. “With who?” She asked.
“Your councils. Don’t worry about anything, i make sure that you’re safe and sound” He muttered.
“You didn’t tell about this.” She said. “Since when?” She asked.
“It’s been a month.” He replied. “A month? You didn’t care to tell me about it.” Amelia said.
“I just told you now” He replied. “Like this” She replied.
“What other way do you want me to say it?” He asked. “Good night..” She muttered and back him.
“I’m sorry..” He said. “It’s okay. Since you said two days, no problem” She replied. “You’re still mad at me” He said.
She gave a long sigh, “It’s fine now. Cuddle me” She replied with a little smile. He did as she said and they slept off.
NEXT MORNING
Maya woke up early and prepared something for breakfast, she isn’t going to work today. It’s Saturday, she has to rest.
“Good morning boss” Ethan greeted and peck her lips. “Good morning babe” She replied.
“How was your night?” He asked. “Hmm!” She mumbled and turned to him, she placed her hand on his neck, he held her waist.
“It was lovely” She mumbled.. “Uhmm! You look hot this morning, your nípples are standing firm” He muttered and kissed her neck and caress her neck with his fingers. “You’re being naughty this morning. It’s so early for this” She mumbled and pushed him slightly.
“I’m being naughty for you. Besides you’re my girlfriend” He muttered with a smile. “I know that Mr Ethan.” She replied.
“I want to know more about you” He said. “There he goes again, am cooking” She half yelled.
“Because you’re cooking, I shouldn’t talk to you?” He asked. “No, I didn’t it that way. You’re too big for me”
“Big?” Like big”
“What’s she talking about? Have she seen me taking my bath. Ashh! Am not surprised that she has been watching me and now she knows how big i am” He thought, nodding his head.
“What’s he thinking about? Oh no! I can’t believe he…” Maya realized her words and make a quick defence.
“What are you thinking about? It’s not what you think” She defended. “Really? And you want me to believe you”
“What? Wait you think that i have been peeping at you, while you take your bathe. Huh?” She stammered.
“Why? It’s not a big deal” He replied. “It’s not what you are thinking”
“Make me understand.” He said, staring at her. “Actually what i meant was that you are too much for me. After what happened in the kitchen some months ago, I don’t want to lose it. I almost gave in” She stammered.
“Aaahh! You sounded naughty. It’s fine. But i won’t stop teasing you darling” He mumbled and kissed her cheek.
“Oh Mom! I’m so hungry right now. Please serve me” He said, rubbing his stomach.
“Alright, sweetheart. Breakfast is ready” She replied and quickly served him and also dish for herself.
“Are you going to see your mom?” Maya asked.
“Yeah, we talked it last night” He replied. “I know. I wanna come with you, please” Maya said, with a baby face.
“No!” He replied. “Why?” She asked, surprised that he turned her down. She accepting a Yes from him.
“She told me that, she wants me to come see her” Maya said. “I will go alone, you should have some rest. I promise i will be back on time” Ethan replied. “I can’t believe this is happening” She murmured.
“Did you say something?” He asked, staring at her. “Gosh..I wasn’t talking to you..” She replied and rolled her eyes.
“Alright” He stammered and continue eating.

Ethan arrived at his mother house. He got down from the car and walked to the building and sighed before knocking on the door. She opened the door.
“Good morning mom” He greeted and she kissed his cheek. “It’s been a while. You didn’t care to check on me” Mirabel muttered.
“I’m sorry mom, i have been busy with work” He replied. “Uhm, just like your father. He always say the same thing”
“I’m sorry sweetheart” He replied and hugged her. She pat his back slowly and finally broke the hug.
“How’s Maya?” She asked. “She’s fine” He replied.
“She didn’t come with you?” She asked, looking around. “No, mom”
“i thought you guys would come together” She mumbled, he sighed and walked in with his hands on his pocket. He sat down and kept wondering she wants to talk about.
“Son!” She called. “Yes mom” He replied. “What about the king? I hope he’s okay now” She asked
“Yeah! He’s fine now. I was with during those days. Am glad he’s back” He replied.
“He should be very careful. And watch out too, a lot of people are not happy that he’s ruling Rome” Mirabel said.
“It’s his right. And i know that he will be more careful this time around” Ethan replied.
“Uhm! Mom you said that you want to tell me something” Ethan said. “Oh! Yes. It’s about you”
“Me?” He asked, shockingly staring at his mom. “Yes.. I mean you and Maya” Mirabel said.
“Okay.” “You guys have been together for some months. Why don’t you guys get married”
“I need grandkids. Com’on Ethan” Mirabel said. “Mom.. We will get married okay, please not now”
“Not now? When?” She asked. “You just don’t care about me” She mumbled, looking away..
“Mom. You know i do care about you. Com’on look at me sweetie” He said, touching her shoulders. After all pleading she turned looking at him.
“Mom. I do care about you. We will get married when the time is right, Maya and I are still dating. And i promise you that she is the one that will be beside me every time”
“Promise?” She questioned. “Yes, mom. It’s a promise. Please promise me that you won’t talk about this again.”
“Okay. I promise. She is just too good. She doesn’t call to check on me sometimes she comes around to know how am doing”
“Mom, i know were you’re taking this to. I have been busy with work. I will come see you when am chanced” He said and stood up.
“Won’t you eat before leaving” Mirabel said. “I have eaten, please take care of yourself. We will be coming tonight for dinner” He said and hugged her.
“I love you son” She said, while hugging him. “And i love you more sweetheart” He replied and broke the hug. She kissed his cheek before he left.
