^^ AUSTRALIA ~ BRISBANE ~ KNIGHT APARTMENT^^
“Alright, thanks for informing me” Crystal Knight, a lady in her early eighties said into the reciever before ending the call.
“So, how the date go, granny?” Nina Knight, Crystal grand daughter asked.
“What do you think. That brother of yours ruined everything!” Crystal half yelled.
And at that moment, Clifford Knight walk into the sitting room, a frown marring his face.
“Evening” he greeted.
“I don’t need your greeting! How long will you keep up with this act? Do you intend to remain single your whole life? You are thirty five and you have no girlfriend or mistress”
“Not wanting you to waste your life, I decided to set you up on blind dates but this is the tenth girl you’ve rejected!” Crystal yelled at him.
“I did my best but she’s boring and am a boring person, there won’t be fun in our life” Clifford replied, the frown still on his face.
“Then you should stop being boring and try to get a girl for yourself. Try to smile often and….”
“You know that smiling is the one thing I don’t do, granny” Clifford said cutting his grandma off.
“But you’ve got to try. A girl wouldn’t want a guy who doesn’t smile!” Crystal said impatiently.
“Then I will keep being single. I have some pending work to attend to and also, stop with the blind dates, it will never work” Clifford said and went up stairs.
“Why aren’t you saying anything to him!” Crystal yelled at Nina who had gone quiet.
“You know you can’t change his mind when he’s in that mood”
“We should blame this all on that night thirty years ago. After that ordeal, he has never for once smile at anyone, what girl will want a man who never smiles?” Nina said only to recieve a smack on the arm.
“So what if he doesn’t smile? My grandson is perfect in every other thing, he excels in his studies, he is the best in sports and most of all he is wealthy, handsome and a reliable man. They are all missing out on a good thing” Crystal said, defending her grandson.
“Just as Clifford is your grandson, am also your granddaughter but you keep hitting me!” Nina yelled only to recieve a smack again.
“Granny!”
“Since it’s come to this. I will leave the task to you. Find a girl for your brother or I will marry you off to the Peterson family” Crystal threatened.
“We aren’t in the medieval age! You can’t marry me off to anyone” Nina replied fiercely.
“Really? Do you want to bet on it?” Crystal said, wearing that mischievous smirk of hers.
“Granny!” Nina cried out, knowing what her grandma is capable of.
“You’ve got lots of friends, you should be able to find him someone, am counting on you” Crystal said and left the room.

^^ MARTHA’S APARTMENT ^^
“Really? ” a stunned Martha sat on the sofa in her sitting room, starring at Susie.
“Yes. Have decided to confess my feelings to Stanley by giving him this letter” Susie said giving her the envelope which had the letter in it.
Martha read it’s content and stared at her friend.
They’ve been friends ever since they met in high school, with Martha being the senior between them.
Martha have always felt a protective urge for Susie and maybe that’s why they’ve manage to stay as friends for a long time.
Martha knew about Susie crush on Stanley, one of the managers at the hotel she works as a cleaner.
And Martha have often told her to confess her feelings to him but what she didn’t expect is that Susie will confess to him through a love letter.
“Do you think he will get this? Knight hotel is a big one and you both work in different department” Martha said feeling unsure.
“I will find a way to get it to him, Am not expecting a reply from Stanley, I just want him to know how I feel about him” Susie said.
“What if he ends up replying? What will you do?” Martha asked.
“I…I don’t know, if it does happen which I doubt, I will know what to do then” Susie replied as Ana,Martha daughter showed up.
Martha attention was taken by Ana and Susie excuse herself to her room since she lives with Martha.
A smile left her lips when she saw Stanley picture on her desk. She had taken this pics without his knowledge during the company trip.
It had been love at first sight for her, at first she wanted to keep her feelings hidden but recently she’s been finding it hard to do that which is why she decided to write this letter to him since she’s too shy to confess.
“At least, he will know that someone out there likes him” Susie muttered and fell back on her bed to keep thinking about Stanley, the man she loves.

^^ KNIGHT HOTEL ~ NEXT DAY ^^
Just like everyone else, Susie got to work by seven and proceed to the dressing room to get change.
She took out the letter starring at it and was about returning when someone snatch it from her.
“And what’s this?” Kate, a fellow cleaner and a bully asked as she tried to open the letter.
“It’s none of your business” Susie replied, taking the letter back from her and keeping it in her bag before closing her locker.
“Do you plan on confessing to someone?” Kate asked but Susie ignored her.
“I really h@të that Bîtch! I wonder what’s in the darn letter” Kate said, starring at Susie locker with interest.

^^ CLIFFORD OFFICE ^^
“For how long will you keep ignoring me?” Nina ask, hitting her brother desk just to get his attention.
“You could have refuse”
“Refuse and let her marry me off, never. You need to do something about this? How about hiring a girl to act as your girlfriend?” Nina asked but Clifford shook his head.
“You’ve gotten it wrong. Am not the one running from girls, they are the one running from me. They don’t like me and am sure that if I hired someone, she will quit in no time”
“That’s because you are unapproachable, you’ve erect a wall around yourself that it’s hard to break. Try to smile, try to look human and a lot of them will flock to you” Nina said but Clifford ignore her.
“You really are annoying!” Nina muttered and went to stand by the show window.
At that moment, Clifford secretary brought in some files.
“This are the very important files sir” Lina said as she select the file.
“Leave them, I will handle it ” Clifford said and after giving a bow, she left the room.
“Am leaving” Nina said as she went to get her handbag, she was almost at the door when she heard him say.
“You need to see this”
Running back to him, she saw a letter with him and read it’s content.
★ I WANTED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING, ITS A LITTLE HARD FOR ME TO SAY, BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT I HAVE FEELINGS FOR YOU. EVER SINCE THE FIRST DAY I SAW YOU, YOU’VE BEEN IN MY MIND AND ENDED UP HAVING A PLACE IN MY HEART. AM NOT CONFESSING TO YOU, HOPING FOR A REPLY, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE OUT THERE LIKES YOU A LOT ★
“What do you think?” Nina asked, starring at her brother.
“What I think doesn’t matter, what matter now is that I look for her…. she’s got me intrigue, I want to know who she is” Clifford replied and unknowingly a smile appeared on his face.
Nina eyes widen when she saw it, though it was brief, it’s the first time she’s seeing her brother smile.
“I will be right back” Nina excuse herself, leaving his office.
As soon as she got to the rest room, she pulled out her phone and dialled her grandmother number.
“You had better be calling me for a good reason” Crystal Knight said crisply down the line.
“We’ve hitten the jackpot granny! Clifford smile, for the first time I saw him smile and it’s all because of a girl!” Nina said in excitement….

^^ CLEANERS LOUNGE ^^
Susie got to her locker, expecting her letter to still be there but it was no where to be found.
“I definitely put it in here” Susie muttered, rummaging her bag.
She remembered that Kate had seen the letter and she’s sure that she must have taken it.
Leaving the locker room, Susie went in search of Kate at the lounge when two security guards approach her.
“Are you Susie Graham?” One of the security asked and she nodded.
“You are going to have to come with us”
Without waiting for her reply, she was taken out of the cleaners quarters.
“Where are we going?” Susie asked as they got into the lift.
“You will know soon”
The lift got to the tenth floor and she was a bit reluctant to leave.
Maids like her were only allowed to attend to work on the hotel first and second floor.
She has never been past the second and first floor and all of a sudden she’s on the tenth floor.
A floor which is for only the VVIP customers and also a floor for the owner of the hotel.
“Am I being sacked?” Susie asked as she was led to into the executive office.
A lady was waiting at the door way and as soon as she saw her, a smile appeared on her face.
“You are Susie right?” Nina asked and Susie nodded, feeling confused.
“Go in, he’s waiting for you” Nina said, walking her to a door which read *PRESIDENT OFFICE *
“Why? Am I being fired?” Susie asked.
“Of course not. More than ever you are like the queen of Knight hotel that is if things go well between you two but we all want it to work out, most especially me”
“Now go in and tell him in person how you feel” Nina said as she open the door and push her in.
Susie stood by the door way, having her fill at the room deco.
“Tenth floor do hit different” Susie muttered, starring at the painting.
“Do you like it?” Someone ask from behind and she turn around only to collide into someone chest.
Instinctively, she move back and crash into a chair, she would have fallen if he hadn’t held her by the waist.
“Are you okay?” He asked and a dumbfounded Susie shook her head.
“Am fine. I just got shock seeing you Mr Knight” She said, pulling away from him.
“You will, you didn’t expect me to find out that you wrote the letter” Clifford said starring at the cute girl in front of him.
“Letter?” Susie asked slowly.
“Yes, I got your letter” He answered making her gasp out in shock.
“You did what?”
“I said, I got your letter. It was talking about you falling in love with me” Clifford replied.
“But how did you get the letter?”
“Does that matter? What matter now is that I have gotten your confession and I think that we should go out on a date to get to know more about each other ” he said, leaving her speechless…..
