“Why don’t you speak up Tessa?” Emery grinned, folding her hands to watch.
Hayes was still giving her an intense look and she felt like the ground should just open and swallow her that moment.
“I actually came to drop something for Emery, Hayes.” Tessa lied and smiled at him. She revealed a parcel and Emery grinned again.
Hayes looked at her suspiciously and then back at Emery.
“Since when did you two became friends?” He asked and she shrugged.
“I guess she realized her mistake and she came back to apologize for it” Emery replied but Hayes wasn’t satisfied with her response.
“Let’s go Tessa!” He said and started dragging her out of the house.
“But…”
“Let’s go! You are not spending one minute here anymore Tessa! She’s dangerous!” He half yelled at her and Tessa blinked till they got outside.
They were still at it when Madelyn came in to meet them.
“Hayes?” She called in excitement and Hayes made an arrogant look.
“Hi Madelyn” He forced a smile at her and that’s when Tessa saw her too.
“Oh Tessa! Have you met my sister? Since you two are tight friends” Madelyn cheered and Tessa forced a smile at her too.
“Yes, and we just had a chitchat not quite long” She replied and she nodded.
“Okay, gotta go! Bye!” Madelyn waved as she walked inside.
“That’s Emery’s younger sister but trust me, she’s the opposite of Emery” Hayes started and Tessa rolled her eyes.
“Goodbye sir!” She replied and made to walk away but he pulled her back and shut her with a surprising kiss.
It didn’t last for long because she pulled away and slapped him on the face.
“You shouldn’t be kissing me like that yunno! Stop doing that without my permission! Who do you think you are?! Almighty Hayes Flynn who goes around bossing anyone he meets?!” She shouted, pissed off and Hayes sighed.
“Tell me, what other way can I tell you that I want you to be my boys mother and not their nanny?” He muttered senselessly.
“What! You’re my ex boss!”
“I’m not your boss! Stop calling me that when I see you more than a nanny!” He snapped back.
“What do you mean?”
“Urg… Let’s just go please” He groaned and walked to where his car was parked and she followed.
Meanwhile, Emery was listening to their conversation from her room upstairs. The glass cup in her hand shattered on the floor angrily.

“What are we doing here?” Tessa asked when they got into Miss Blea’s Restaurant and Hayes was already calling a waitress to serve them.
“What do they come here to do? Let’s eat” He rolled his eyes. Tessa scoffed and made to stand up and start walking away but he stopped her.
“Where do you think you’re going Miss Tessa Thompson?” He gruffed.
“I’m going home Mr Hayes Flynn” She replied stubbornly and he started pushing her back to their reserved table.
“Let’s eat!”
“I said, I….”
“Let’s eat!!” He banged his hands on the table furiously at her and she almost flinched.

“You need to learn how to control your anger sometimes Nathaniel” The Principal cautioned Nathan after Ian and Baby’s parent came to report about the injuries on their kids faces.
“They started it Sir!” He defended and Xavier held him in place.
“Aren’t they your classmate boy!” Ian’s mother half yelled.
“Hey, I won’t let you yell at him that way! He’s just a young kid!” Xavier yelled and the woman closed her mouth instantly.
“Now apologize to them Nathan” The Principal cuts in and Nathan scoffed angrily, glaring at Ian and Baby who were both giving him funny faces.
“Why should I apologize when they’re the ones who did me wrong! I’m never apologizing!” He shouted and started walking out of the Principal’s office leaving the parents amazed.
Xavier had a shock written expression on his face too cus he wasn’t expecting that.
“I’m sorry!” He said and hurriedly ran out too, joining Nathaniel who was leaning on the wall.
“Nathan” He called and he raised his head to look at him.
“Thanks Uncle Xavier!” He remarked and Xavier nodded, ruffling his hair with a smile.
“Why did you let those kids intimidate you? And why did you call me instead of your dad?” He asked.
“Dad is gonna get mad at me if he finds out I’m turning a bad boy in school unlike Liam” He replied and Xavier chuckled.
“Oh so you’re accepting that you’re a bad boy now?”
“Not that Uncle Xavier… It’s just, for the past few days I’ve heard and seen dad so many times getting angry for no reason and at times too I see him in miserable condition… It just feels like he’s shattered or something. Ever since Nanny Tessa left us, we changed.” Nathan answered.
The bell for closing suddenly jingled and then pupils started rushing out of their classes with their bags.
“It’s closing already… I have to go”
“Take us home first” Nathan pouted and Xavier nodded with a smile.
“Be back in a jiffy!”
Soon, Nathan came back with Liam and Imelda.
“Uncle Xavier!” Liam exclaimed when he saw him.
“Baddie” Xavier complimented, ruffling Liam’s hair and he groaned.
“I’m not a baddie…”
“So who’s she? Your girlfriend?” Xavier asked referring to Imelda who was behind them.
“Oh! She’s my friend… Imelda meet my uncle, Xavier” Liam introduced.
“Hi uncle Xavier” Her tiny voice echoed and Xavier winked at her.
“Alright, let’s go boys”
“Goodbye!” Liam waved at her and left. Nathan was leaving too when Imelda suddenly rushed you to him.
“Are you okay?” She asked and he looked at her and nodded positively.
“Yeah, I’m fine” He replied and walked away with Xavier.
“Stop staring at him that way he doesn’t love you” Someone whispered from behind her and she rolled her eyes.
“Fúck off Ian!”

“What were you doing in our school Uncle Xavier?” Liam suddenly asked as Xavier ignited the car and drove out of the school premises.
He looked at Nathan who cut eyes for him.
“Uh… Nothing. I just came to pick you guys up” He lied and Liam looked at Nathan.
“Hmmm… That sounds like you just lied” He replied and faced the window of the car, staring at the beautiful views.

A nurse was applying plaster to Mrs Lee’s forehead when Dexter came in and Mrs Lee stood up like she was expecting him.
“Leave us alone nurse!” She said and the nurse nodded as she left them.
She actually got treated since it was too serious.
“What are you doing here attempted killer?! You attempted to kill your own mother because of a girl!” She shouted.
“How can you call me that mom? It was a mistake, I didn’t mean to push you that way” He defended.
“Get out! Get out Dexter! Until you bring a rich girl to marry don’t show your face to me!” She yelled.
“Mom!”
“I said get out!”
“But Mom!”
“You aren’t getting younger Dexter!”
“Fine mom, I’m leaving… Bye!” He replied and walked out, shutting the door soundly.
Mrs Lee touched her chest with a heavy sigh as she slowly sat back on the hospital bed, trying to catch her breath.
“Why are you doing this to me Dexter?”

The photographer kept capturing every poses of Ariel as she did poses for the camera.

He ignored her till he reached his office and she went with him.

Xavier arrived at the mansion with the boys and he saw one of Hayes’s car parked in the garage, he knew he wasn’t far from home.

He ushered the boys as they walked into the house. Surprisingly, they met Tessa serving dishes on the table for them.
Liam’s face brightened first before Nathan.
“Nanny Tin Can!” He exclaimed in total excitement, running to jump on her and Tessa got him on time.
“Liam!”
She faced Nathan who kept an expressionless face.
“Nathan…” She couldn’t complete her words when he started walking upstairs to his room.
“He’s the one missing you and now he is walking out on you…”
“I understand, you both are mad at me for leaving for no reason” She replied and faced Xavier who was still standing.
“Go change your clothes Liam” She said and he nodded before leaving.
“Hi”
“You went missing Tessa… What exactly happened?” He asked straightforward.
“You won’t understand…”
“Understand what! Hayes came to me and poured his angers out on me again because of your absence! I thought we made a deal Tessa?! To stay and fix him before leaving! To bring light into his smug exterior of coldness Tessa! Why did you leave and suddenly returned?!” He said.
“Fine! She threatened me! Emery threatened to me! She threatened me severely not to ever come closer to the Flynn’s family again! Infact my coming here was forced by Hayes!”
“I knew she was behind your absence” He smirked.
“Does Hayes know of the truth?” He asked and Tessa lowered her head.
“He can’t find out and please don’t tell him about what I just said… It’ll only endanger the boys life and also Hayes own”
“Cut that crap Tessa! Empty threats don’t work! What can she do?! Stop making her fool you!” He snapped angrily.
Nathan was upstairs, listening to what they were saying.
“Xavier!”
“Welcome back and goodbye!” He replied and started walking away. He made to open the door and walk out when he came face to face with Hayes.
Hayes was just coming in also.
“I can…”
Hayes threw a punch instantly at him and Xavier staggered back inside the house and Tessa gasped in shock.
“What the heck are you doing here?! Who let you in?! Was it Tessa?! What relationship are you having with her too?!” Hayes yelled and Tessa rushed to him.
“Calm down please” She urged him to but he stepped away from her.
“You won’t understand all this Tessa! Don’t let this guy fool you! He made who I am today! The cold and heartless Hayes Flynn!”
By now, Xavier posture was normal again.
“We shouldn’t be talking about that here Hayes… You boys are..”
He landed another punch on him again, much heavier than the first one.
“What’s going on! Calm down!”
“Calm down? Don’t Fuçking tell me to calm down!”
” But he’s your brother!”
“He became my enemy when he made Lavanya died in that accident years back” Hayes gritted, and Tessa’s eyes widened.
“It wasn’t intentional Hayes… I’m…”
He pulled him again and started throwing fast punches at Xavier, decorating his face with blows.
“Hayes!” Tessa exclaimed, trying to pull him away from Xavier which she successfully did.
Blood were oozing out of Xavier’s nostrils and lips already.
“Hush, calm down please” She whispered, calming him down as he tried catching his breath.
“He Fuçking heard a relationship with my wife! The mother of my boys!…”
He was about speaking when she stood on her toes and crushed her lips on his, shutting him up with a kiss and his eyes bulged out of its socket, same with Xavier’s own.
She came back to her senses, and slowly broke the kiss. Hayes went crazy immediately just by her move and he grabbed her waist possessively earning a sëxy gasp from her.
