“Where could he be?” Tracy muttered after her
search for Vance turned out to be fruitless.
After her heated convo with Reed at the school
infirmary, she went out in search of Vance but
he’s no where to be found.
She pulled out her phone about to dial his
number when she got a call instead.
“Hello, Investigator Jones” she answered quickly
knowing that her private investigator must have
news for her or he would never have called.
“Really? You’ve found him!”she half yelled
quickly lowering her voice when she notice
some students starring at her.
“Tell me where he is ” she said sounding very
angry this time around.

<< WARE HOUSE >>
“You want us to get rid of this girl?” A scared
face man said as he took a picture of Vance
dressed up as Sarah.
“Yes. She’s getting to be a thorn and I can’t
afford that right now and so I want her gone”
the unknown person said.
“You know what doing this job will cost”
“I know and am willing to pay more if you do the
job right”
“Fine then. Consider this Sarah girl dead” The
scar face man said, looking satisfied.

^^ PRESENT TIME ~ VANCE HOME ^^
“There’s an explanation for it, Tracy”
“What explanation? You’ve been fooling
everyone of us! You lied your way into my
household pretending to be a girl and the worst
part is that I asked you for help. I asked help
from the bastard who killed James ” she cried
out in pain.
“I didn’t kill James, Tracy. I would never do that”
“Liar! Everything points to you, you felt guilty
about killing a friend and that’s why you went
off in hiding, going as far as to disguise
yourself as a girl!” Tracy yelled.
“There’s a perfect explanation for this if only
you would__”
“I have no intention of listening to you but then,
the cops might love to do that” she said as she
made to call the police but Vance quickly pulled
the phone out of her hand.
“Think you can stop me with that?” She scoff
and made her way to door but Peter stood in her
path.
“You can’t leave” Peter said,obstructing the door
way.
“Get out of my way! Am going to report this
murderer” Tracy yelled.
“Vance didn’t kill James. You’ve got to listen to
what he has to say, it’s the only reason I lured
him into coming to see you” Peter replied
strongly.
“Have got nothing to hear from__” she was
prevented from saying more when Vance
suddenly turned her towards him.
“Everyone believes me to be a murderer but I
know and James, wherever he may be knows
that I didn’t kill him” Vance said, his eyes
shinning with sincerity.
Tracy broke the eye contact and went to take a
seat, trying to remain calm.
She would let them say wh@tëver they want to
say and as soon as they let her go, she will get
the cops to arrest him.
“Fine then, I will listen to what you have to say”
she said looking calm and poise.
“I didn’t kill James. James and I grew up at the
orphanage together and when I began my
career as a singer, James had found his family”
“I was so happy for him since I know how much
he wanted to be reunited with them. I was so
busy with my schedule and failed to notice that
something has changed. When he moved into
my apartment all bruised, I decided to ask him
about things and he hardly told me a thing. The
only thing I knew was that he was dating
someone which is you “
“On the day of his death, I was no where to be
found for an entire day and that’s because__”
“You were planning on how to eliminate him”
Tracy spoke cutting him off.
“No, I was taken to a villa by my boss to lie low
since a scandal about me was causing a lot of
havoc. But everything died down in the evening
and when I returned to my apartment, it was to
meet James dead body on the floor. It was like
a night mare, I only left him at home that
morning only to return in the evening to find his
dead body” Vance said reliving that gruesome
moment once again.
“If you are innocent like you claim, why did you
run away?” Tracy asked.
“I had to find the real murderer. If I just stayed In
jail then I would have been convicted for a crime
I didn’t commit. It was unfair to me and to
James and that’s why I took on a fake identity
and began to work in your house ” he replied
hoping she would believe him.
“Okay, you’ve said your piece can I leave?”
“But you do believe me, right?” Vance asked and
the scoff she gave in return gave him his
answer.
She made her way to the door only for him to
pull her back once again.
“I won’t let you leave until you believe me”
“So, you plan on keeping as a hostage? It will
only add to your crime”
“I don’t care. I knew what was coming my way
when I started this” he replied hotly while pulling
her back into the house.
“I don’t care how long you have to stay here, I
won’t let you leave until you’ve believed me” he
added lightly and went straight into his room.
Peter quickly followed him into the room.
“Are you doing the right thing by keeping her
locked up ?” Peter asked.
“I don’t know, I just can’t let leave believing me
to be a murderer ” Vance answered in return.
“What’s wrong, Vance? Why do you desperately
want her to believe you?” Peter suddenly asked.
“Desperate?”
“Yes. It’s like you h@të the thought of her not
trusting you, what’s going on between the both
of you?”
“Nothing. There’s nothing going on between us”
Vance said quickly pondering on what his friend
just said.
Is he really keeping her locked up just because
he desperately want her to believe him?
“Vance you really shouldn’t__” Peter stopped
talking when they heard the door.
“Did you lock the door?” Vance asked and when
Peter shook his head in reply they quickly ran
out of the room in pursue of Tracy.
As soon as they got downstairs, Vance saw her
running down the streets.
Thanks to it being evening, the passerby could
hardly recognize his face since he didn’t have
his wig on.
Tracy got to the main road and was about to
cross to the next road when a car suddenly
stopped in front of her.
Two men got out of it and bundled her into the
car, Vance and Peter made it to the car too late.
“Call the police” Vance said not worried about
his safety but that of Tracy.
“Are you crazy? If we call the police then you are
going to be in dan__”
“I don’t care! Tracy safety matters more” Vance
said breathing heavily.
“I know you are worried about her but there’s
another way that I can help. Earlier, I hacked
into Tracy’s phone, I can help you track her
location” Peter suggested which suited Vance.

“Are you sure this is the place?” Vance asked
Peter as they both hid behind a large bush.
“It is. Am sure she’s here” Peter replied checking
his phone to confirm again.
“Remember the plan right?”
“If you both don’t come out after half an hour, I
should call the police” Peter said and when
Vance turned to leave, Peter held him back.
“Take care of yourself”
“I will” Vance replied and immediately ran
towards the warehouse.
He was dressed in his male outfit making it very
easy for him to go by as silently as he can.
He went past the front guards without being
seen and opening the window, he got in to the
ware house.
He could see four men in the room and there
was Tracy tied to a chair while struggling to be
set free.
“You idiots. Why did you have to bring the
wrong girl?” The scar face man yelled at the
three men who had abducted Tracy.
“We are sorry sir, we thought she__” he didn’t get
to finish his sentence because the scar face
man shot him.
“I h@të mistake. Now I want you to go back out
there and bring Sarah to me!” He yelled at the
two guard who were left standing.
When they had carried out the dead man, the
scar face man turned to Tracy.
“Am sorry that my guards mistook you for
someone else, they should have been more
smarter”
“So, are you going to correct your mistake and
set me free?” Tracy asked.
“Am afraid not. You’ve seen and heard a lot of
things, it’s only right that you die. I really don’t
want to do this but I have no choice ” he said as
he pulled out his gun while Tracy sat in fear.
He click his gun about to shoot when a kick
from Vance got him falling on the floor.
A startled Tracy couldn’t help but to feel
overwhelm at seeing him.
“Who the hell are__” he didn’t get to finish his
words when Vance gave him another kick on
the face and that got him fainting immediately.
“Are you okay?” Vance asked as he quickly went
to untie Tracy.
Tracy could say nothing, all she could do was to
stare at him in silence.
“They didn’t hurt you right?” He asked as he
checked her body for any sign of injury.
“Hey! Who are you” on hearing that, Vance
immediately took hold of Tracy hand, running
off with her but that didn’t stop the men from
going after them.
They kept shooting, yelling for Vance and Tracy
to stop but Vance kept running off with a
petrified Tracy.
As soon as they got into the woods, Vance
found a spot where they could hide and they
watch the men run past their hiding spot.
“Let’s go” Vance said but Tracy held him back.
“Let’s just wait here, they might return and__”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone harm you” Vance
vowed and pulled her out of the woods.
Somehow they made it to the main road and
asked for a lift from a farmer.
As soon as they were safe in the back of his
truck, Vance called Peter who told him that he
already left the vicinity after calling the police.
“Yes, she’s okay. Am taking her back to the
mansion” Tracy heard Vance said and she
couldn’t help but to stare his way.
She wouldn’t deny that he looked very
handsome dressed in his real form, she was still
starring when he caught her and immediately
she looked away from him.
“Do you still intend to report me to the police?”
Vance asked and it was then she realised that
she had been admiring his handsome looks
instead of thinking about the issue at hand.
“You don’t have to answer, it’s stupid of me
bringing up something like that when you are
still shock from what happen earlier” Vance said
before she could say a word.
“I__” Tracy words were left hanging when he
drape his coat around her.
“You must be feeling cold” he said quickly
averting his gaze from hers.
She knew the right thing for her to do is to pull
off the coat and give it back to him but
somehow__ it felt warm.
Tracy still had his coat on her as they walk
down the estate till they got to the Martin
mansion.
“I will escort you to your room” he offered
wanting to walk her in but she quickly stopped
him.
“Are you crazy? Do you want to make it known
to everyone that you are a guy?” She asked.
“Don’t worry, when it comes to hiding, am very
good at it and besides, I doubt if anyone would
still be up at this hour, let’s go” Vance urge and
took hold of her hand before she could resist.
They slowly made way into the mansion using
anything they could as a source of hiding.
Tracy should have been annoyed by this but
instead, she felt great like she’s some sort of
spy in a movie.
“We will take the kitchen” Vance said and
hurried them both to the kitchen which was
empty.
“We just have to make it past the__” Vance fell
silent when he heard someone footstep.
Tracy gave him a *What now* look and
immediately, he pulled her into the store room.
The store room being a small room could hardly
contain the both of them, so they had to
squeeze in.
With Tracy standing against the wall and Vance
towering over her.
Vance at first didn’t notice the situation but
when he did, he found himself starring at Tracy
who was also starring at him.
They were so close to each other that he could
reach in for a kiss and Vance couldn’t deny that
he is tempted into doing just that.
They had totally forgot about the intruder who
was still loitering around the kitchen.
Tracy gaze was still on his when she felt
something crawling on her leg.
Hating the thought of it being a ÇOçkroach
Tracy scream out in fear.
Vance who was scared at the thought of
someone catching them did the one thing he
could think of to shut her up and that was to
kiss her___
