” You really are a guy!” Angela exclaimed as she
quickly got off of him.
“And you dare to trick your way into our home?”
“I have a very good reason for doing that, so if
you will just….” Vance said.
“Am not interested in listening and just so you
know, I will make sure everyone knows about
this” Angela stated and headed for the door but
Vance caught her by the arm and cornered her
against the wall.
“I know you h@të me being here and am willing
to leave but please…don’t say anything” Vance
said and Angela couldn’t help but to notice the
desperate look on his face.
“Miss Angela, Is everything okay?” They heard
lady young ask from outside.
“Yes! Am okay” Angela said quickly leaving
Lady young satisfied with her response.
When they were lady young was gone, she push
Vance away from her.
“Am only keeping quiet not to stir up trouble and
besides you are leaving but let me make one
thing clear, if you dare show your face to me
again, I will make sure I expose your secret. Do I
make myself clear?” Angela asked and he gave
a nod in return.
“Now get out, I can’t believe I touched that
hideous thing of yours” Angela said in irritation
while Vance frowned at her.

“You’ve been caught and on your first day?”
Peter cried out in surprise.
“It just happened that way and besides have
been fired ” Vance added surprising Peter the
more.
“Well being fired isn’t the problem here but you
being caught is. Did she recognize you? Did she
link you to the runaway fugitive?” Peter asked in
concern.
“She didn’t “
“Vance, you really should give this up. It’s
dangerous for you and…”
“I can’t. There’s something about Tracy that
links to James death”
“What do you mean?” Peter asked and Vance
briefed him about what happened with Tracy.
“Could they have been lovers?” Peter asked.
“No way. James never mentioned it, he didn’t
even have the time to date someone ” Vance
defended.
“Are you sure? I know you two might have grew
up together in the orphanagebut that doesnt
mean you knew everything about him” Peter
countered.
“Think about it. Just few months before James
death, you mentioned that he found long lost
family and that he has an older brother. I did
some research just now and I found out that
Tracy is engage to James older brother” Peter
added.
“And what’s your point?”
“My point is that Tracy and James must have
had something going but then James older
brother found out and killed him” Peter
concluded.
“You’ve been watching a lot of movies lately, I
think it’s high time you take a rest”
“Common, didn’t James give you a hint? Didn’t
you found something strange before his death?”
Peter questioned and that got Vance thinking.
“I remember something. Just a few months to
my world tour concert, I got back home only to
see James all bruised up”
“And?”
“And when I asked him about it, he told me that
he had a fight with his brother and that he’d left
home. I didn’t want to pry and so I didn’t ask
about any other thing but now that you’ve said
it, I think James had fought with his brother
because of Tracy” Vance said reasoning
everything out.
“Good, now we are getting somewhere” Peter
said, feeling a bit happy that they’ve manage to
solve a riddle.
“Is there a way for me to get back into that
house?” Vance asked.
“What for?”
“To stay close to Tracy cause we’ve got to get
evidence without that, everyone will still think of
me as the killer”
“But that crazy girl knows your identity” Peter
reminded which got Vance groaning out in
frustration.
“Am hungry, I will go get us something to eat”
Vance said as he got off the chair.
“Don’t forget to put on your wig” Peter reminded
as he left the room.
Sometime later, Vance left the store heading
back to the hostel with the things he bought.
He was thinking about his discussion with Peter
and failed to notice a car which suddenly pulled
to a halt beside him.
Three men in black got out of it and before
Vance could do a thing, he was pulled into the
car.

“Where are you taking me? Let go of me!” Vance
yelled as he tried to fight the men but they were
too strong for him.
The car stopped in front of a gate and once
again, he was pulled out of it and into a
mansion which he recognized.
“Wait! Why am I here?” Vance asked as he was
led into a room.
Vance was still feeling confuse by the whole
thing when the door open and Elsa came into
the room.
“Sarah!” She called in excitement before giving
Vance a hug.
“Am glad you are back” She said as she move
away from him.
“What’s going on? Wasn’t I fired?” Vance asked.
“Well, my daughter told me about the great thing
you did for her and found it unfair that you had
to be dismissed because of Angela and since I
can’t resist this cutie over here, I decided to hire
you. Am sorry if my guards were a bit rough
with you” Mr Martin explained as he walk
towards them.
“They weren’t though I was a bit scared but…am
I really hired again?” Vance asked as he watch
the bulky man take a seat behind his desk.
“You are. I wasn’t able to help you earlier and I
felt bad which is why I spoke to daddy about it”
Elsa said to him.
Vance couldn’t be more grateful, he had been
thinking of a way to get back into the Martin
home and luckily the opportunity presented it
self.
“Am very grateful sir, I didn’t…” Vance stopped
half way when he recalled what Angela said to
him earlier.
*If you dare show your face to me again, I will
make sure I expose your secret*
He had been happy at the prospect of working
in the Martin home again and totally forgot
about Angela’s threat.
At that particular moment the door open and the
witch herself came into the room starring at
him.
“Am glad you are here Angela. I heard that you
had her fired due to a misunderstanding but
then have hired her again and I don’t want any
problem” Mr Martin said but Angela wasn’t
listening to her father, she was starring at Vance
who was also doing the same.
“Did you forget what I told you earlier?” Angela
asked Vance.
“I…”
“What did you say to her? Am pretty sure you
were threatening her right?” Elsa intervened.
“I was and that is because…” Angela pause
making Vance uneasy.
She’s going to say the truth…he thought as a
sweat slid down his throat.
“That’s because Sarah here ruined my cloth. I
mean, I just bought it from the mall a few days
ago and she had it all stained” Angela said
instead relieving and still making him feel
uneasy.
“That can be remedied. You can buy more
clothes” Mr Martin chipped in.
“Does that mean you will be giving me more
allowance?” Angela asked in excitement.
“Yes” Mr Martin answered making her more
happy.
“Then, Sarah here can work for as long as she
wants” Angela said giving him a knowing look.
“Work? I can’t believe you, dad!” A raging Tracy
said as she barge into the room.
“Tracy I…”
“Doesn’t my word count? I told them to fire her
but just to please Elsa, you brought her back.
You never think of me, right?” Tracy said
looking furious.
“This isn’t about you, Tracy” Mr Martin
countered.
“My opinion have never mattered, all you think
of is what you want and it’s sickening dad, it is
sickening ” Tracy choked out before leaving the
room.
The atmosphere was tensed after Tracy’s
departure. Vance felt that the things Tracy said
wasn’t about him but about something else, he
also noticed the sadness on her face.
“Come with me” Angela said as she drew him
out of the room while Elsa stayed with their
father.
As soon the door was closed, she turned to him
a mischievous smirk on her face.
” You thought I was going to rat you out,right?”
Angela asked as she folded her arms over her
chest.
“Why didn’t you?”
“After you left, I gave it some thought and it’s
not a bad thing having you work here since I will
have the upper hand “
“Upper hand?”
“I don’t know why you are doing this and I don’t
care since it’s your life but I will need your help “
Angela inform.
“My help?”
“Yes, your help. There’s this party am meant to
attend and some of my ex will be there, I want
you to be my companion for that party” She
said.
“Your companion? You wouldn’t want me to
accompany you dressed like a girl right?”
“I wouldn’t. I want you to accompany me as
your real self, as a guy who’s accompanying a
lady out” She explained better.
“I can’t do it” Vance replied quickly knowing that
everything he’s been planning would all go to
waste once he’s dressed up as a guy.
“You have to. If you want me to keep my mouth
shut then you would have to accompany me to
this party” Angela let out smoothly not giving
him a choice.
A while later, Vance left Angela’s room silently
cursing her.
He was about descending the stairs when
someone cries got to his ear. He retrace his step
and stood in front of Tracy’s door.
He could hear her crying inside, he wanted to
leave but something made him go into the
room.
Tracy was seated on a chair holding onto a
picture while crying her eyes out, she didn’t even
notice him standing there.
“Are you crying because your father hired me
again?” Vance question got her looking his
way.
Immediately she wipe off her tears and put the
picture she was holding into her drawer before
turning to him again.
“Why are you here?” Tracy asked looking very
angry.
“I heard you crying and….”
“It’s none of your business. Now get out of my
room, I h@të looking at you” she yelled at him.
“Why? I never did a thing for you to h@të or
perhaps are you angry about the picture which
broke. He must have meant a lot to you” Vance
said trying to get her to talk.
“Don’t act like you know me, you know nothing
about me!”
“You are right. I don’t know you but I do know
what your relationship was, I know you two
were love…” He didn’t get to finish it because
Tracy’s hand went over his mouth.
“No one knows about my relationship with
James” she whispered before letting him go.
“You’ve been keeping it a secret?” Vance asked
and she gave a nod in reply.
“Have been keeping a secret though I wonder
how you know ” she said looking at him
strangely.
“Well I…Er…” His voice faltered when he saw the
knowing look Tracy kept giving him….why on
earth did he had to talk.
“Don’t tell me that you are…it can’t be possible”
Tracy said starring at him from top to bottom.
“What can’t be possible?” Vance let out while his
heart kept thumping out.
“You can’t possibly be_____”
