November decided to stay.
She can’t leave him all alone in this condition anyways.
He kept tightening the hug and their bodies kept pressing on each other.
She gave him pats slowly till he started calming down bit by bit.
She made to break the hug but he hugged her still.
“Newton” she called.
He remained unmoved.
“Newton can you hear me?” She asked.
He broke the hug and faced her.
“Are you ok now?” She asked, looking at the blood on his lips and nose.
He rested his eyes on her without moving it away.
He nodded slightly and she started looking for what to clean the blood with, luckily she found an handkerchief in her pocket.
She got it and started wiping the blood till the last stain.
Then she wiped the remaining traces of tears on his face too.
“Why did you bleed?” She asked gently.
“It’s a long story” he replied and she sighed.
“Maybe I have time” she said and he stood.
She stood too and he started walking into the flower path.
She followed him closely, waiting for when he’ll talk
“It’s poison” he suddenly said and she stopped the step she was about to take.
“Huh?”
“I once took poison” he replied, facing her.
“Poison?”
“Yes, that was last year when mum was bent on killing me, he wanted to force me into an arranged marriage but that’s what I h@të most in this world, I h@të fake thinks”
“Dad’s asthma was so critical back then, he couldn’t even stop her because he was too weak, he has been asthmatic since two last year and no matter the treatment or surgery, it persists, maybe it’s a punishment from the past sins of our ancestors, once any chronic sickness happens to anyone in my family, it persists, this fact was kept from the public, if not so my dad wouldn’t have been elected as the governor, you’re the first person I’ll ever tell this, even the other Emperors aren’t aware” he said.
November kept staring at him.
“I think that’s why Keaton’s tumor worsened fast too, back to the poison stuff, mum was talking about bringing a girl into my life for arranged marriage back then, but i was against it, I left the house but I was captured and locked in, I poisoned myself though that was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done”
“It’s a twenty four hours action poison so I was found almost lifeless the next morning, the poison was flushed out of my system in the hospital but like I said, bad things persists in my family, the poison residues got stuck in my throat and it acts up anytime it likes, but mostly anytime I shout too much, I went into surgery twice but it’s still the same”
“After I survived, my devilish mum still insisted that I must do the marriage, that’s when I introduced Debora as my girlfriend, just to elude the marriage, and it worked”
November has been staring with wide mouth since he started talking, she hasn’t been able to shut her mouth.
“Don’t give me that pitiful look, please” he said.
“Sorry, but this is too much to take in, I think the devil cheated your mum to take the throne, that throne of hell rightfully belongs to her” November replied and Newton laughed shortly.
“Her nickname is devil, we were never close to her, that’s why Keaton kept her ailment to herself till it passed the treatable stage, I wish I wasn’t birthed by her” he said sadly.
“Now I get why Wendy is behaving like a Bîtch”
“Wendy is the only one close to her, and that’s why she’s like that, she took after her” Newton sighed.
“But you told me everything about your family, do you trust me?, What if I tell it to the whole world that sickness persists in your family?” November asked.
“You can go ahead and do that, I’m not scared anyways, though I know you’ll not do it” he smiled and faced her.
“I’m bad” she said.
“No you’re the most selfless girl I’ve ever met, you’re kind and cool too, and you’re pretty” he said, making that last part silent.
November smiled and suddenly scattered his hair.
“Hey!” He blinked.
“Stay cute!” She winked.
“What?”
“I’m going back” she replied.
“Let’s go together” he said.
“No, Newton and November came out of the garden together, that sounds like a good topic for a scandal” she replied and poked his cheek before trying to leave.
He held her back.
“Will you…. come here again tommorow?, Same time” he asked.
“Why?”
“I want to spend time with you alone again…… please”
“I don’t know” she replied.
“It’s ok if you’re not chanced to come” he said sadly.
“I’ll come, I love listening to stories” she replied and he smiled.
“Bunny” she said.
“Huh?”
“You have the smile of a bunny , I’m good at classifying smiles” she replied.
“So what smile do you exhibit?” He asked.
“I won’t tell you” she shrugged.
“But why are you here in the first place?” He asked.
“I was sad”
“Why?”
“Someone destroyed my Bugatti Veyron completely” she replied and his eyes widened.
“What the f*ck”

7PM≈ HOSTEL CINEMA
“When is the party starting?” November asked as she entered with the girls.
“9pm” Dahlia replied
A UC student is throwing his birthday party tonight at Groovers Spot and everyone is invited.
They decided to come here and watch the movie first.
“What film are we seeing?” Monique asked no one in particular .
“The Conjuring, an horror movie” Dahlia replied.
“I better go back” Monique said and made to turn back but November pulled her back.
“You don’t dare” she glared and Monique pouted as they all started searching for seats.
There’s no three empty seats beside each other.
The available seats are all scattered around.
“I guess we’ll have to watch separately” Dahlia said.
“Sure, see you guys after the movie” November replied.
“I can’t watch horror movies alone!!” Monique protested.
“Bye chicken!” Dahlia winked and left her too.
November found herself a sit and settled, then she got her phone and started playing temple run.
It’s her best game ever.
“Pickle” a male voice said beside her.
Only one person calls her that.
She looked up and saw Francisco beside herself.
“Cisco” she said quietly.
“Are you gonna run again?” He said and she blinked.
He took her phone from her and put it off before giving her again.
“I haven’t been able to sleep peacefully after what I did, it was the most irrational thing I’ve ever tried out, and I’m sorry” he apologized.
“Take it as I was not ok back then, I’m sorry for behaving like a jerk”
“It’s ok Cisco” she replied.
“We’re still good friends right?” He asked and she nodded, feeling less awkward around him.
“Promise me you won’t avoid me anymore”
“I promise” she smiled and he made to touch her hair but she shifted back.
He folded his hand.
“I…..I…feel uncomfortable with hands on my hair” she said quickly.
He smiled and returned his hand.
His phone rang and he brought it out.
It’s Keaton? on the caller ID.
“I’ll be right back” he said.
“It’s fine” she replied and he left.
