Chapter Two
Rose kept on running. Wishing with all her heart that she run into the security guard from earlier.
He wasn’t human and judging from the way he had stared at her earlier. He will certainly kill her.
She knew he was after her and the more he got close. The more she got scared.
She ran back to the Science lab and hid under the desk. Praying that he wouldn’t notice her.
She heard his footsteps and put a hand over her mouth. Trying not to make a sound.
He walked in. Sarching for her. He walked past the desk she was hiding and she held her breath.
It wasn’t until she saw him walking away that she breathe out deeply.
She looked at the door way. Hoping to see him walking out but there was no sign of him. She still had that thought in mind when suddenly her desk was turned over and he stood over her. Looking at her.
“Mommy!!!”Rose shrieked out as she turned to leave only to be pulled back roughly. He slammed her hard on the wall.
She was trying to gasp for breath when he walked towards her and pulled her up. Holding her by her throat.
It was then that she saw it clearly. His long fingers which were cutting down her throat. His black eyes had grown more darker with his hair looking tousled and most of all. His teeth had grown longer.
She had only read about this things. She had only watched it in movie and had never seen it in real life situation..
Except now. Here she is being choked by a vampire.
“You shouldn’t have seen it…..you have to die”He stated fiercely as he pinned her to wall. Choking the life out of her.
She couldn’t die like this. She still have to become someone to help her mom and sister. She couldn’t die as a loser. Rose thought as she began to push at his hand.
But his hold on her was very strong and though she tried hard to stop him. It was a futile attempt
“Let….me …..go”She managed to cry out but he tightened his hold.
“Please…..let me go”She begged as a tear slid from her eyes falling on his hand.
Louis regained himself and stopped when he saw that he had pinned a girl on the wall.
She slid down and fell on the floor. Already unconscious.
Louis stared at his hand to see blood. What has he done? He killed an innocent. He should have stayed home. He should have stayed home and avoid this. He thought as he knelt by her to see if she was still breathing .
Luckily she was. She was the girl he had seen cleaning the school hall way earlier.
Why was she still at school. What had prompted her to come to his aid? She should have run away when she saw him groaning out in pain.
He had to help her. He had to do something before she dies.

Rose opened her eyes to find herself in an unfamiliar room.
She could hear people talking and tried to decipher their voice.
She opened her eyes fully, wanting to see where she is and why her neck hurt so much.
Two nurses came to her aid . Helping her sit up. It wasn’t until they were sitting her up right that she remembered the events from the night before.
“Rosie! My baby.”Her mother, Priscilla Belmont. Called as she walked in looking worried. Seeing her elder daughter awake, she quickly walked in. Enveloping her in a tight hug.
“You have no idea how worried have been When you were found at the school entrance and brought to the hospital”She muttered as tears swam in her eyes.
He hadn’t killed her . She thought as she tried to recall the last thing that happened before she lost consciousness.
“I told you she would be alright!”Bella. Rose younger sister stated as she came to stand beside them.
“What happened? Why were you found there unconscious and who had injure you?”Her mother asked worriedly.
Rose contemplated her next words. If she told her mother about what happened, she might not believe her but just thinking about the way she was left out in front of the school gate like some abadoned dog got her feeling angry.
He could have at least have called someone for help.
“Maybe you had a fight?”Bella suggested.
“Or probably you were bullied by someone?”Her mother questioned.
“Bullied? How is that even possible?”Bella shrieked out eyeing her injured sister.
“If someone turns out to be bullied then it will definitely not be her”She added only to recieve a warning look from her mother.
“If you are being bullied my girl. Just tell me. I am proud that you are attending a school which I would never have enrolled you in but if you are being bullied. Then you should quit” Her mother told her.
“What? But she can’t quit going to Royal high. Having a sister who studies there is the best thing in my life right now”Bella said trying to stop her mom from putting the idea in her head.
“Shut up and stop meddling”Their mother said but that only shut her up for a while.
Rose could use this opportunity to tell them about what she has been going through.
She wanted to speak but stopped. It isn’t fair to bring her problem back home. Her mother had enough worry already. Adding her problem at school to it will certainly make things worse.
Deciding to keep shut. She gave them both a smile.
“Am not being bullied mom. And this here is just a little fight with a cat?”She lied still having the fake smile on her face.
“Really? You expect me to believe that?” Her mother asked knowing the bruise she had on her neck isn’t from a fight with a cat.
Rose stared at Bella for help. Knowing her mom. She knew she would try to get to the bottom of things.
“Common mom! She already told you the reason. Why don’t you just let it be”Bella added trying to help her sister.
“This isn’t a fight with a cat” Their mother pursued. Paying no attention to either of them.
“It is! You just didn’t see the scar properly and besides we left the restaurant unattended to mom. We better leave Rose to rest a bit”Bella said quickly pulling her mom up.
“This discussion isn’t over” Priscilla Belmont stated as they both left the ward.
Rose layed on the bed once again. Letting her mind drift off to what happened just the other night.

“Its day time already Louis. Get out of bed” The authoritative voice said and though he wanted to sleep longer . He knew he had to get up to do as she says.
“You arrived home late last night. Where did you go to knowing it was the full moon?” Geraldine Finnegan asked as she stood starring at her son.
“I had forgotten an important note at school. It couldn’t wait until tomorrow and so I went to get it. I didn’t even notice the moon”He replied.
He didn’t notice the moon. If he had he would have stayed home. Away from danger and from causing trouble.
He is a vampire. The blood of a vampire run through his vein.
Long ago. Vampires and humans had lived together, but all that changed when the vampire started feeding on human blood.
The society then decided to get rid of all the vampire. Which they achieved . Well except for his father.
His father had been the only survivor of the vampire clan but no one knew. He had gotten married to his mother who kept his secret and had done well for himself in the business world.
Giving birth to a child which was fathered by a vampire will certainly make that child a vampire and that’s who Louis turned out to be.
For years Louis has been hiding his real identity. He has always chosen to take animal blood than human. But recently he has been having the urge to have human blood.
His true self only shows up when it’s the full moon. He still didn’t know why and have never bothered to find out. He didn’t want to live the rest of his life being a vampire. He would have preferred it if he had just had a normal life.
It all worsen when he became popular at school and that’s all due to his good look. His wealth and also his friend who had the same back ground as he added to his popularity.
To everyone at school they were the three studs but none of them knew that he had a secret. Apart from someone. The girl he had almost killed last night had seen him in his real form. He had erased her memory just the way his mother had taught him and hope that she cease to remember what happen that night.
“And so? Did you change to your real form? Did you hurt anyone?”She asked looking worried.
Louis thought about his response carefully before giving her a reply “Of course not. I didn’t hurt anyone and yes I did change form but I didn’t hurt anyone”He lied.
“That’s a relief then. I hope you will be more careful next time. Your father had been the pillar in my life but when he died, I decided to be strong to be your pillar. Don’t make me lose you too”She said softly and he got out of the bed.
Walking to her and enveloping her in a tight hug.
“You won’t lose me mom”He replied gently and she pushed him away from her.
“Go and have a shower. You reek”she said as she moved away while he gave her a smile in return.
It wasn’t until his mother left his room that he began to think of the incident of last night. He didn’t know why but he feel that something is wrong. Even though he knew that he did everything right.
