CHAPTER 12&13: LAY WITH ME.

Theodora was scared to the bones as the evening gradually approached. She as already feeling uncomfortable with the new dress she was putting on and the new environment too.
Nothing pained her than the fact that she would be serving the most annoying creature in the universe.
When the darkness finally came, she went to the kitchen to get the alpha’s meal. ” The alpha stays at the second dinning every Friday night. Inform him as soon as you drop the food on the table. ” The chief cook informed.
” I’ll keep that in mind. ” She took the tray of food with her. Some other maids accompanied her with the bar of wine and golden cups.
After they had organize the table for his dinner, she went to call him.
Every time Kaleb sets his eyes on Theodora, his facial expression would change to the broadest smile like he has just seen an angel.
While Theodora on the other hand, would feel the deepest anger for him burning in her inside.
” Your meal is ready, sir.” She informed, her head faced to the ground.
” I’ll be there in a minute. ” She turns to leave, but stopped at the sound of his voice. ” I need you in my room after dinner. Don’t be late.”
She didn’t say a word and neither did she give a reaction to him, she left the room. She went outside to where the labourers worked.
Men were made to do the toughest job, while women were busy at the farms and laundry. Children on the other hand, weren’t actually doing any labour according to what her eyes could see.
She folded her hands around her chest, watching as how they tirelessly worked.
She stood there, and she forgot she was to meet alpha Kaleb in his room. Now she had stood there for more than twenty minutes, pitifully staring at the slaves when a maid came to call her.
” Theodora,” she called, getting her attention.
Theodora turned to her. ” Yes?” She replied.
” The King is done eating and he is waiting for you in his chambers. ” She informed.
” Oh, my God! ” She gasped in fear. ” What have I been doing here?”
” You have to hurry up, he doesn’t like to be kept waiting. ”
She quickly went to the dinning room to get the tables cleared up before she headed to his room.
She offered a knock, ” Who is that?” He asked from the inside.
” It is I, Theodora.” She announced.
” Come in.”
She took a deep breath, exhaling heavily. She walked in. ” You said I should meet you after dinner, I am here. ” Her head was buried to the ground.
” Yes, of course. I didn’t forget that.” He was smiling. He always does that each time he looks at her, not minding how shy she was feeling. ” Come, have a seat with me.” He said, tapping on the space beside him.
” I would love to, your highness but, I do not think I am worth enough to sit beside his highness. ” She said, indirectly refusing to sit with him.
Kaleb was delighted at her response. He smiled again.
The girl was different from any other he has ever seen. She was bold enough to refuse at his first request, unlike other women who will agree without a second thought.
” You don’t have to be scared, my love. I am your master, and what ever I say you shall do it. ” He insisted.
First, Theodora got irritated at the way he addressed her as his love. Plus being so persistive that she must sit beside him got her pissed off.
She forced herself to smile. ” I won’t still accept his highness’s request, I do not know if he is testing my attitude. I would rather stand and hear what he has to say than to share the same couch with him. ”
” First, I am not testing you. And second… ” he paused, then continued. ” I do want you beside me because I can’t explain how much I love you and want you in my life. I don’t know how to say this but, I wish to have you as my queen and not working as… a maid.
I believe you h@të me because what I did to your home but, I figured out that this was the only way to make it up to you and see that you are happy. You have to believe me, I am ready to take good care of you. ” He confessed.
It was as if every single word he spat out of his mouth got her angry the more. She fought so hard not to express her anger on her face, she was done listening to those Sh|ts.
Theodora’s eyes flew open as he walked close to her. She silently prayed he wasn’t going to repeat the same thing he had done earlier or even worst.
