CHAPTER 32&33: INTO THE DUNGEON.
★ ★ ★ ★
Raymond folded his hands on his chest, staring at the wall. He has really been serious with the count down, patiently awaiting for the seventh day to be over.
Today is another new day, there’s only four days left before he pays his next visit home.

The guards returned with the news that Sophie and Caro were nowhere to be found.
They have searched everywhere, both within and outside the castle wall but yet, can’t tell of their whereabout.
“What’s going on?” Theodora asked Holland who was silently dressing the room.
“His majesty seeks for justice to your case.”
“My case?” She asked, confused. ” On what? ”
” You getting poisoned. I found out it was Sophie’s idea to eliminate you from King Kaleb’s heart and take your place. ”
Theodora swallowed hard. “They want to take my place? I… I don’t think I understand any of these. That Bîtch wants to have my husband to herself? “She yanked. “Why in the heavens am I not aware of this? ”
” Maybe His majesty doesn’t want you getting bothered about it. I’m sure he’ll find a way to get this done with. Please, rest assure. ”
” Of course, I’m rest assured. But for the fact that some fu*king Bîtches are after my husband, I don’t see any reason why I should be rest assured.” She stormed.
Holland saw that Theodora did love His majesty so much. She was expecting some odd attitude or fake expression of being so concerned.
But seeing her being so rational over the case at hand, she knew any further convincing would end up at deaf ears.
“My Lady, I know you have every right to be bothered but, considering your health, you need to calm down and let His majesty solve the case himself.”
” Why do I feel like this marriage won’t end up well?” She asked, staring outside the window. “I’m not talking about fate, I’m talking about the people around me.”
“My Lady…” Holland try to speak but she interrupted.
” Just… stop, okay? Stop the odds and just call me by my name.”
“Dora, I don’t know what to say, honestly. I would have told you it was all your fault getting married to him at the first place. But seeing as things are going well between the two of you, maybe it’s fate doing for joining you two together.
But wh@tëver that happens next, you don’t have to lose hope yet. A lot of things happen for a reason, don’t take yours as the opposite. His majesty really loves you, we all can testify to that. I believe in what he can do.” She encouraged her.
” On the day of our wedding, the Moon Goddess appeared to me. She told me there are more yet to come, both the good and the bad. I never understood that until now I know I still have a long way to go.”
She looks at Holland. ” I want to ask you a question, and I need a sincere answer from you.” She nodded. ” Do you think I made the right choice getting married to His majesty?” She asked.
Holland squatted before her, leaning her both hands on Theodora’s laps. “If it were to be then, I would say you made the wrong choice. Now? You didn’t. Come on, Dora, you freed those rogues.
You changed King Kaleb entirely that I never thought there was a soft spot in him. You created a good relationship between him and his people. They say love is blind but I’d say, your’s is real. And that’s all thanks to you for coming into his life.”
“Really?” She blushed.
” Yes.” She stands up, sitting beside her. “But, you still have something left to do.”
Theodora rose an eyebrow at her. ” What’s that?”
” The beast. You must reconcile with him.”
She rolled her eyes. “Is that even necessary?”
” It is, just my thoughts though.” She shrugged.
“How am I supposed to do that? I mean, we aren’t connected with each other and he’s no longer in my head. It’s pointless.”
” Then try reconnecting to him back.”
” Okay. So how the heck did you know I talk with the beast?”
“I don’t. You told me.”
“Me?” She points at herself. ” I don’t remember doing that.”
” You did.”
” When?” She queried.
” Remember the day you accepted King Kaleb’s proposal, you made mention about the beast killing you. Plus your mood at that moment, it was so convincing that he must have told you that right on your face. I meant, you looked scared.”
She smiled.
” Somehow, I wish…” She paused, not wanting to continue further. ” I think I should keep that to myself.”
” Keep what? No way, you already started it so you must complete your statement.”
” That’s only if you force me to.”
” So say it then.”
” No.”
” Fine. I won’t eat today if you don’t tell me.”
Holland rose an eyebrow. ” Seriously? Well, I don’t remember us sharing the same stomach.”
” Holland!!”
” What?”
” Pretty please.” She said in a sweet manner. ” Please..”
” Wh@tëver. I was about to say that I wish fate can just be crazy and join you two together.” She finally said it out.
” You mean Kaleb? We’re joined already.”
“No, I meant the beast.” Theodora was quiet. ” Did you see the way he looked at you? I doubt that was an ordinary look.”
The incident reflected to her mind. To anyone else it could mean something else. But to her, that look was of revenge and death.
“You still think he’s gonna kill you?” She asked. “I doubt he will. ”
“And why would you say that? ”
” Because Diana told me to.”
