Theodora’s eyes flew open. “Ask her if Kaleb will die after this seven days.”
“I don’t understand, what’s going on? Who’s Diana? “She asked.
” Just ask her. ”
” She said yes.”
Theodora nodded slowly. “And what will happen after that? “She asked again.
” Raymond will take over the throne. ”
” And what about me? What will happen to me?”
“That is a question for fate to decide.”
Holland groaned. “What the heck was that? Why did I have someone else in me? ” She touched her face. ” Who is Diana by the way? ” She asked again.
” She is the Moon Goddess.”
Holland noticed her countenance. “Hey, are you alright?”
“She doesn’t know what my fate will be after this, I don’t feel safe with the reply. What could that mean?” Looks at Holland. ” I’m scared, Holland. I’m scared of everything. ”
” You don’t have to be scared of anything. The only thing you ought to be scared of is death. And since she didn’t mention you dying, that means there’s hope you’re gonna live. ”
The rest of the day ran painfully slow. Theodora laid on the king sized bed but wasn’t sleeping. Her eyes couldn’t close even if she wanted it to.
The goddess’s reply earlier was troubling that even Holland’s words couldn’t calm her down.
She turned several times on the bed, what exactly was she afraid of? What was her fears?
“That wasn’t hope you gave to me, Diana, you just scared the Sh|t out of me. ” She muttered.
” My Lady!!! “Holland screamed from the outside. ” My Lady! Oh, My Lady. ” She opened the door.
The first screamed had made her jerked up in fear. “What’s wrong? ”
Holland stared pitifully at her. ” Say something, what’s the matter? Is it my husband? Is he okay? ”
Holland slowly shook her head.
” What has happened to him? Talk to me!!” She yelled in fear.
” Your husband… His majesty… “She couldn’t finish the words. ” You have to see for yourself. You were right, Dora, this marriage won’t end up good. ”
Theodora dashed out of the room not minding how heavy her dress was. Thankfully Kaleb’s room wasn’t quite far from hers.
She pushed the door open but immediately froze as soon as she saw Sophie. “You Bîtch.” She cursed, “What have you done to my husband.”
“Husband?” She repeated with a scoff. “Since when did he became your husband, huh? Well, I am sorry to say this to you, King Kaleb is no longer your husband but mine now. And you can ask him yourself when he leaves the bathroom.” Sophie said reluctantly as she crosses her legs on the bed.
Kaleb walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist. “Darling, do you recognize this woman here?”
” Yeah, she’s my maid. Any problem with that? Did she tried disturbing you?”
” Yeah. And she claims she is your wife.”
Kaleb casted an angry glare at her. ” You are supposed to get lunch ready, why standing there for?”
Hot tears rolled out of her eyes down her cheeks as she watched Sophie romanced her fingers on his bare chest.
Anger filled her as much as jealousy burned in her inside. “You’ve never stopped from stalking me, aren’t you tired already?”
“I ain’t tired when it comes to things I desire. I have been destined to be with His majesty but since you stepped your filthy legs in here, you changed everything.
But don’t glory yet, your days are numbered. And I won’t let both you and that so-called beast to interfere to my marriage. Darling, what are we to do with her?”
” I’ll think about it later. “He said.
” Not later, I need a reply now.” She caressed his cheeks. “Why don’t we put her in the dungeon and then have her executed tomorrow morning?” She suggested.
Kaleb looked at her. ” You’re the smartest woman I have ever seen.” Sophie blushed.
” Guards!” He called.
The door opened and two guards walked in. “Yes, sire.”
“Escort her to the dungeon.” He ordered.
The guards hesitated to grab her. At first, they were surprised.
Theodora struggled out of their grip, running towards Kaleb. She forcefully pushed Sophie to the ground, then staring into his eyes.
“My Lord, why have you disappointed me? I gave you the love you deserve, why chose her?”
” Get away from him!!” Looks at the guards who stood in shock. ” What are you standing there for?!” She yelled. ” Do something!”
“Don’t come any closer.” She said to them.
When Sophie tried standing up, she kicked her by the nose, sending her back to the ground.
“Don’t you love me anymore? Why the change of heart?” Kaleb was quiet, not a word left his lips. It was weird of him to keep shut.
She looked at sophie who was rubbing her nose. “What have you done to him?!”
“Witchcraft?” She said reluctantly. “That was my only option.”
She held his cheek, “Somethings happen for a reason. If this is fate’s doing, then so be it.” She leans for a kiss. ” Thank you for showing me what love really is.”
Sophie casted a spell on the guards, and without hesitation, they grabbed her forcefully, dragging her out to the dungeon which was beneath the fortress.
There she stayed without the sun light nor the moon.
