Kaleb matched with his armies to the place Raymond had asked him to come.
Kaleb and his people got there first, Raymond was nowhere in sight.
“Sire, are you sure this isn’t a trap?” Asked his royal guard.
“I know. And that is why I brought the armies along. Don’t worry about my brother, he’s single handed. He’s got no one to fight alongside him.”
Raymond appeared from the other side. He had no one with him. The two brothers exchanged glance, no one letting his eyes from the other.
“You read my letter, don’t you?” He asked.
“Of course, I did. I was supposed to be here alone, right? But what makes you think I’d trust you? I have always known your type, Raymond, so don’t try playing the saint here, okay?”
” Should we show them why you needed to sacrifice nine innocent people just to face me. Or is it twelve now?” He asked, making about four steps closer as he transformed into a wolf.
“I didn’t sacrifice those people because I was scared of you, I was only eliminating people who believed in you. ”
” So, I’m gonna eliminate you and everyone who believes in you.” He rowled, running towards Kaleb.
Kaleb jumped from his horse, throwing himself to Raymond with his claws pierced out.
Raymond also threw himself high, and they both bounced on each other, landing on the ground.
Raymond first stood up, dashing to him. He grabbed his neck tight, lifting him high and smacking his back to the ground.
Kaleb took hold of his wrist, pulling his hand off his neck. He kicked him by the stomach, Raymond went back but held himself from falling to the ground.
Kaleb ran to him, throwing blows at him but he was fast enough to dodge them. Though, he missed the last punch which landed on his cheek.
Kaleb smiled.
Raymond rubbed his cheek with his teeth, spitting out a little amount of blood on the ground. He smiled back.
Again, Kaleb rushed to him close to land another blow on his face, but Raymond lowered himself, grabbing him by the waist.
He made him turn, and in a second he was on top of him. He’d punch him, and Kaleb would roll over, offering punches at him.
This they kept doing for over six rounds, Raymond ended it with a heavy blow on his nose.
Kaleb groaned, his face stained with drops of blood. Raymond twisted his neck at both sides, rubbing off the blood stains on the sides of his lips.
“It’s not too late to back off, Kaleb. I’m warning you.” He said darkly.
“And it’s not too late to sit your @$$ in the cave. ”
Raymond angrily turned to him, his face turned to a deep frown which can scared humanity from earth.
Kaleb smiled, standing to his feet. “I got you with that, didn’t I?”
In a second, Raymond was grabbing his throat. “I don’t wanna remember I got stucked in there all because of you. You betrayed me, Kaleb. You left and yes, I did suffered for your sins, and I am never gonna do that again. ”
” You should be happy you aren’t dead.”
” Of course, I am. At least, your death will be by my hands.”
” And you think I am scared?”
” I don’t want you to, because I don’t wanna feel pitiful for your sake.”
” No one is gonna support you, Raymond. No one loves you as much as they love me.”
” Love?” He scoffed. ” That wasn’t love, Kaleb, that was fear. They only worship you because they are scared of dying. I was the one who showed you love. I was the one who had that characteristic, but you took it for your selfish gain.
Look at them, ” they turned to the armies who watched them. ” can you listen to their heartbeats? That’s fear of your survival. They don’t want you, Kaleb, you aren’t their king.”
They were staring back at each other. “For hundred years I starved, feeding in the anger you caused in me. I never saw the light, only darkness. And every time I keep thinking about us, what comes in my heart is revenge.”
” If there’s anyone to be blamed, it’s father. I was supposed to take his love and not you. I am meant to sit on that throne and not you. You are just a kid who knows nothing about leadership. That alpha mark, was was for me and no one else.”
” So, where is the mark?” He requested. ” Your eyes aren’t even red yet, what makes you this alpha you speak proudly of? You wanna know who the real alpha is? I am. I’m the alpha now.”
His eyes turned dark red, his face looking more like a real beast. His body grew twice larger than before that Kaleb looked like a cub wolf to him.
Kaleb was surprised as to how it happened, fear gripped his heart and soul. How the heck did this happen?
He has never even killed an alpha, how possible is it for him to be one?
Raymond lifted him to the sight of his armies, smacking his neck on his knee bone.
Kaleb shocked, bleeding out blood from his mouth. Raymond grabbed his neck with both hands, tearing off his head out of his body.
He raises his head high, blood dropping out from it. The armies stepped out of their horses, kneeling with one feet and with their heads all bowed to the ground.
” I am the alpha now.” He rowled.
Raymond sat on Kaleb’s horse as they all rode back home. On hearing the news, Sophie ordered the guards to protect the palace.
But on seeing Raymond riding on Kaleb’s horse, they all fell on their knees. “All hail the King.”
Sophie knew he was going to come to the royal hall, so she went there first, sitting on the king’s throne with Kaleb’s crown on her head.
Raymond stood by the door, watching her. ” I don’t remember that crown staying on a woman’s head.”
“I was just about to break history.”
” I’m sorry but that crown belongs to me now.”
” You don’t know what I am capable of doing, Raymond.”
” Don’t try using witchcraft to scare me, young lady. Or do you want the same fate as your husband?”
” Are you threatening me?”
” Just a warning, sweetheart.”
She began mumbling words as she made her way to him. Raymond was feeling a little weakness in him, he fought with the feeling.
“What are you doing to me?”
“Just what I am supposed to do a long time ago.” She was standing before him. She leans her lips to his ear, ” I will take off this crown only on one condition. You will make me your queen.” She pulls away, casting a seductive glance at him.
” This should be our little deal. I’ll be expecting an answer by tomorrow, sweetheart.” She places a kiss on his right cheek. ” Do have a nice day, Your highness.”
She left him, leaving the hall with a smirk.
As soon as she left the hall, the spell left him too. Not withstanding his crown was in the hands of a witch, he was happy to be back home.
And he was going to do anything… wh@tëver it takes to get his crown, not minding what she is.
