CHAPTER 64&65: BULLIED.

★ ★ ★ ★

“We’ve done the introduction this afternoon.” I said, for her information.

” Oh, I see. Why don’t we start with what we have for tonight?” We first had a brief note, then the rest of the class was a whole manuscript of explanations.

I was yawning and feeling dizzy at the same time. I know what you’re thinking… Professor Gwen’s class is boring, right?

Nah, it’s definitely not at all.

The problem here is, my brain is just too small to accommodate the whole grammatical explanations she has been back firing at us.

Somehow it enters and at a point, it’s stucked outside the walls of my oblangata.

“Nancy, can you give us a hint to what I am talking about?”

Nancy, being the somewhat beauty queen she is, stood up, walking forward to where professor Gwen was standing.

She showcased her gift and joyfully walked back to her seat.

Show off.

“That was awesome, Nancy. So, just in case you haven’t been understanding all I said from the start, I guess what Nancy just did has explained it all. Am I clear? ” She asked, moving her gaze at us.

First, I think she was actually talking to me cos honestly, I don’t think I did understand some part of the lesson.

And to what Nancy just did out there, I think that was a show off act. Mtcheeew. . .!!

“Dora, do you have any question?” She asked.

I glared at the numerous eyes glaring back at me like the morons they are. Do I have a question?

I stood up slowly, and reluctantly. “Uhmm…” They all began to laugh at me.

“I’m not so sure she was listening.” Someone said.

” Ben, quiet.” She threw him an angry glare, then back at me. “Please, go ahead.”

“I’m sorry, I was actually listening to your class at first but… it got to a point and I wasn’t understanding anymore.” I confessed. ” It got confusing along the line.”

” What got confusing about it?”

“It’s uhm… maybe it’s because the grammar was too much for me to understand.”

They all bursted into laughter. I buried my face on my desk.

” I said it, she wasn’t paying attention to the class.” Ben mocked and it’s as if he had only added fuel to their laughter.

“Ben!” She snarled and the class grew quiet. “Next word and you’re out of the class. Anyone caught laughing, I swear, will laugh to hell.” She threatened.

” I am so sorry for the inconveniences, Dora, and you were saying?”

” Your grammar, I got stucked along the line because I don’t understand.” I repeated.

” Okay. ” She wholeheartedly agreed to repeat the class from the start. I seem to be getting it bit by bit.

From the corner of my eyes, I noticed Nancy staring at me. She would look at me from head to toe, then at professor Gwen.

She did that for almost five times now. I looked at her, offering the best smile I can give, at the end all she did was to roll her eyes at me.

Great, stop staring then.

The rest of the class went gracefully fast, and we have come to the end of the teaching.

I picked up my book, heading towards the door. Before I could get to the door, professor Gwen was out of the class, giving them the chance to bully me.

“Well. Well. Well. Look what we have here.” Ben flicked a strand of my hair in his fingers. ” Where do you think you are going to?”

” Please, can I pass? ”

” Of course. Who said no? ” He shifted aside for me to pass. I did pass, but he pushed me back. “You aren’t going anywhere, little princess.”

” Little princess?” Another asked. ” Have you forgotten already that she is married?” Causing them to laugh.

” I don’t want any problem with you guys. Please, let me pass. ”

” Are you scared we’re gonna hurt your pretty face?” Nancy said from where she sat.” You aren’t that pretty if I may say.” She stood up, walking to my side. “You’re. . . manageable.”

“Can I. . . pass now?” I repeated. Leaving was the only thing that matters right now.

“Are you even listening to us? No passing and you’re still interested in leaving? Don’t you mind for an extra hour? ” She mocked.

” Not interested.”

I was beginning to h@të this Nancy of a girl. I’m only trying to play cool on my first day and avoid getting my @$$ kicked but yet, this kids won’t let me be?

“How old are you, twenty? Twenty one? Twenty five? Do you have kids?” She asked.

” Do you think that’s necessary?” Ben asked.

” Yes, it is. I wanna know if Mrs Joyce was only trying to cover up facts about her bio. If my guess is right, I think she’s nineteen.”

I smiled. I meant, I was actually smiling at her face. Did she just say nineteen??

“What’s so funny, Bîtch?” She asked angrily.

I ended up laughing. “You think I’m joking, huh? I’m talking and you’re laughing?” She growled.

I felt my air lung seized up, making it impossible for air to pass through. There is no hand on my neck but I was choking.

I held my neck, forcing myself to breathe. I noticed the slightest movement of Nancy’s head to the side and I was fully convince it was her doing.

Next thing, I wasn’t feeling the ground anymore. My feet were high. I was on the god d@mn air!! She smacked me to the wall, locking me against it that I couldn’t move.

“I’m gonna teach you a lesson tonight, next time you won’t have to laugh when I am talking.”

My eyes were gradually closing, I could barely see a thing. I felt the wave of air accompany me as she threw me off to the front of the class.

I coughed out blood, gasping heavily for air.

“If any ear hears of this, I swear to God, you will regret ever coming here at the first place. ”

I try to control my anger. This Bîtch is just so lucky I’m in a good mood today, she could have tasted a ice cube of me.

They all left the hall, it was me alone, still catching my lost breath.

I laid on my bed, the early incident reflected in my mind. Why would I deserve such a thing on my very first day in the sister’s camp.

Why would I have an enemy so d@mn wicked like Sophie. Somehow, I was missing Holland already.

If she were here, she would have bathed my night with some encouraging words.

But negative. It’s just me, and me alone.

I can’t sleep. I spent a whole of six hours for siesta, my eyes could barely close now.

Tomorrow is another day, we’ll all have to be prepared for what comes next. Because right now, all I have to think of is how to end Sophie and her evil plans and not some kinda veggies and fruits.
