Autumn raised her head to look at nathaniel properly and just at that time, nathaniel looked at her too so their gazes locked.
They began staring at each other. Her gaze travelled to his thin, kissable lips, but she got a hold of herself and frowned.
” Get off me yo…you. You witch!!” Nathaniel croaked out, pushing her off himself and she fell with a hard thud.
” Ouccch” Autumn winced painfully, rubbing her back with her hands. She hit it really hard on a rock.
Nathaniel stood up and dusted his clothes with his hands. He made to walk away, but autumn grabbed his wrist tightly and pulled him back.
” At least a sorry will do. Couldn’t you apologise for contaminating my lips with your worm infested lips??” She raised a brow, and he snapped his hand away from her.
He glared hard at her and contemplated whether to reply or not, but his anger got the best of him.
” What did you just say??” He asked, narrowing his gaze. Did she just “…”?
” You heard me right. Apologize!!” Autumn replied strictly and he suddenly bursted into laughter. Her brows creased up in puzzlement.
” Why should i be the one to apologise??. Am not the dúmb head who decided she could jump out of her window at night, and move her eyes to the top of her head. It’s supposed to be the other way round” Nathaniel pinched his eyebrows frustratingly, having made his point.
He has never in his entire life met such a mean girl. She is making matters worse by talking to him in the first place.
But…what seems to be a bit confusing, is why she’s bent on making him furious. It’s like she has it against him.
” You really need to go audition for the role of a comedian, cause you’re so hilarious. Why on earth will i stoop so low to apologise to a kid like you??” She said with a calm demeanor, trying to keep her almost flaring temper in check.
” Ohhhh, you feel hurt, you’re bothered. You shouldn’t be, you’re used to this type of lifestyle afterall. Ruining people’s lives, isn’t it?” Nathaniel spat ferociously, shooting daggers at her.
Autumn snapped, and without wasting time she landed a slap on nathaniel’s cheek.
” Don’t ever talk to me in that kind of manner, or else you’ll get in my black book. Be warned worm lips” She sneered and left.
Nathaniel gasped, holding his stinging cheek as he stared at autumn’s departing figure in shock.
” Worm infested?? lips??. She even slapped me!?” He screamed shockingly, almost loosing his balance.
He immediately frowned and gritted his teeth in anger.
” You’ll pay for this witçh!! I swear it!!” He said and stormed out of there.

HOURS LATER**
U3’S SUITE**
Nathaniel sat on a swivel chair, deep in thoughts. A new headphone could be seen on his ears, and his eyes were closed.
They have no lectures until 2pm, so they’re free to do wh@tëver they want to.
Lake came out of the restroom, and saw the state he was in. He knew that something was bothering him.
He walked behind him and pulled out the earphones quickly.
” Lover boy!!” He grinned and nathaniel glared at him.
” You know i don’t joke with my earphones. Give it back!!”
” And you know i don’t joke with my emotions. Can’t you just tell me what’s got you this way??” Lake replied.
” What the heck? What rubbish are you spewing??” Nathaniel feigned anger, and shifted his gaze to the wall. Lake sighed sadly.
” Are you okay?” He asked softly, noticing nathaniel’s glassy eyes. He was instantly filled with apprehension without knowing why.
” I just can’t get her out of my mind right now. How could she just abandon me?? She’s so mean!” Nathaniel said slowly, wiping the tears as they fell.
Lake patted his back, and handed his handkerchief to him.
” She might have had her reasons. Am not trying to take her side, but am sure it was about something serious. A mother can’t abandon her children just like that” Lake said with a hint of worry in his voice.
” Thanks dude” Nathaniel sniffed, and lake started wiping his tears gently.
Nathaniel slapped his hands off, and pouted adorably.
” What do you think you’re doing?? Am not your girlfriend dummy” He stated sternly. Lake chuckled and walked to the bar on the other side of the room.
He wanted to have a bottle of brown liquor, but frowned when he realized it was all gone.
” Can’t believe henry finished the whole bottles of liquor. Now i have to go get more. Do you want to tag along??” Lake said, and proceeded to the door. He grabbed the door knob and was about opening it when nathaniel spoke.
” No thanks. I’ll pass” Nathaniel positioned his seat all the way back before shutting his eyes, his mind and body both feeling drained.
” If you say so. I love you!!” Lake teased and dashed out of the room.
” I haté you too” Nathaniel yelled after him, before putting his mind at ease by giving in to sleep.
