Two weeks had passed and nothing bad happened . It was normal, just the same thing happening, Alex busy with his business while Ronnie and I kept chatting.
It was such a quiet moment, I go to bed early before Alex comes in, avoid him as much as I can, wake up early or late so not to face him.
Very worked up though but … Today is not my day, not really.
Alex was with me in the kitchen cause Ronnie told him to act like a responsible man, telling him that he needed to assist me in the kitchen or anytime I looked stressed and that is why he was here in the kitchen today, not that he was even helping out, but he was pressing his phone, Sigh, that’s better, easing me of my discomfort.
I was cooking some food when all of a sudden he held my waist and I stopped what I was doing, why the hell did he do such a thing I thought as my heart skipped a bit.
“Just stay put and continue what you are doing mom’s looking at us “He whispered in my ear and that send some chilling down my spine.
“Alright”I said as I struggled to continue what I was doing, well washing the dishes of course, but then he did something I never expected, he held my hands and helped me do the dishes. When we were done I expected him to at least move away so I could do something else and feel comfortable, yet he didn’t show any sign that he was going to leave me.
“Um Alex, I need to check the food”I said as I coughed lightly.
“Let stay like this for a while “He said as he made me face him and then he hugged me, why was I feeling kind of strange, something that always happened to me when I was in high school I thought.
No stop thinking about that my subconscious said to me and I slapped my head mentally.
As I was about to ask if anything was wrong he left me and went out.
What could be the matter ?

What the heck is wrong with me ?
Why would I lie about my mom checking out on us when obviously she was doing her nails. I really need to get away from her ASAP she’s doing something to me.
The door opened and I knew it was her.
“I am not hungry yet “I said nonchalantly
“I am actually here to ask you for something “she said
“Ask for something? What is it then? “I said after a lot of silence.
She has never requested anything from me after the incident so what could make her want to ask for something?
“I need you to allow me have a little bit of freedom, I actually want to go out and take a look at some places since um “She paused looking at me and then she bent her head.
“Ok “I said and she looked at me shocked, like she never expected me to answer her immediately, of course why would I reject this sweet offer, I have been looking for a way to get her off my side.
“I promise I will not run away “She sputtered as she beamed with smiled, I smiled also and then frowned.Which spell did she cast on me that makes me smile when she does and then I realized that this was the first time I am seeing her smile in front of me after the incident, the Cassandra I know always have a stoic face, but now she smiled and then she looks so sweet.
“Thank you “She added and went out.
After the incident she became more respectful and good. I never knew she had this side.
Wait! was it part of the psychological trauma effect.
I decided to get it of my mind at least she smiled that a great improvement.
At Miguel’s mansion.
Meanwhile Charlotte was already getting used to this sweet crazy boss of hers, first of all he would go so sweet and then he would get angry, she doesn’t know what goes in that mind of his, but still she loved every moment.
Charlotte entered Miguel’s room since he called for her but what she saw was something she never expected.
Miguel was half naked, he was only wearing a towel like I mean he just had his bathe now, water was dripping from his body which made his body look so hot that she couldn’t help but drool, well maybe because this was the first she is seeing something like this.
She only had home lesson and Kyle was not always around and if he is around he is always drssed modestly, she never saw him walking around with only towels on him and apart from that she rarely comes out of the house and thus had no friends.
Kyle was her only friend and so she was considered boring.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Am I that hot “He teased Charlotte whose face was already red, she could not help it.
Charlotte hit her head. She was meant to act professional and silly.
“Is this why you called me here”she asked still drooling
“You like what you see”Miguel asked as she looked at him shocked, her jaw dropped to the ground.
Was her boss really this shameless she could not help but think.
“Stop looking and help me take those files from the drawer, give them to Dee”He said nonchalantly as if he had not said anything shameless, but Charlotte was lost in her thought, he had to snap his fingers to bring her back to reality and then she quickly did what he sent her to do and dashed out of his room.
Miguel laughed crazily ,he loved the expression on her face and he also was surprised at himself, he never knew he could say such crazy things .
Back to business, now he knew Diane was alive somewhere, but where? He just has a month, a week and three days left to prove Sandra’s innocence.
Sam told him that Dan was the one who found the evidence and that same Dan was killed by Alex.
How he wished Alex never killed Dan because he would have gotten a good explanation from him after a series of test. Now Alex is bringing him back to square one but first he has to buy time so he could finish what he wanted to do and fully give all his time to Charlotte. He thought with a grin.
