“It’s obvious that I didn’t know she is your sis
and besides no one can tell that she’s your
sister because you guys behavior are different,
just your resemblance”. Jemimah said.
“Let’s go now, Alice”. Jackson said.
“But brother, why aren’t you two on a good
terms. She’s a nice person and friendly also”.
Alice said.
“He doesn’t understand that and he doesn’t
know too”. Jemimah shrugged.
“Enough of this now, let’s go”. Jackson said and
he grabbed Alice’s hand.
“Bye”. Alice said before she got on the bike.
In no time, they were out time Maybe because
his bike is fast. Jemimah hissed and shrugged.
” Let’s go”. Jemimah said.
“Yes let’s go and go too”. Lucy said to Alex.
“I will escort you guys to your house cause it
late”. Alice said.
“No, there’s no need for that we go by
ourselves”. Jemimah said.
“We don’t need any company, we need BESTIES
time”. She said emphasizing on the word bestie
and Jemimah looked at her in disbelief.
“Common, it’s nothing right Jemimah”? Alex
insisted.
“Well since you insist, you can accompany us”.
Jemimah said.
“But…”. Lucy said.
“Let’s go now Lucy”. Jemimah said and she
grabbed her hand.
They walked down back to their house but not
without Lucy gazing at Alex.
“Spare me please”. Alex said jokingly.
✓ Maxwell Mansion ✓
Jackson and Alice got down from the bike and
they entered the house before Alice interrupted.
“What was that bro”. Lucy asked.
“What”. Jackson said.
“The girl is a nice person and she is not like
others”. Alice said.
“I know what am doing and besides this is my
attitude”. Jackson said back.
“This is not your behavior, you don’t act like this
before. You smile and make new friends but not
now anymore”. Alice said.
“This is my new life now and this is how I will
continue”. Haven said that, he went to his room
and Alice sign.
“I hope there’s going to be someone who will
melt you down”. Alice hoped.
✓ Jemimah’s home ✓
They arrived at Jemimah’s house and it was
time to depart.
“Bye Lucy and Thank you Alex, bye”. Jemimah
said.
“Bye”. Lucy and Alex chorused.
Jemimah smiled and walked into the house
hoping that her mom has gone to bed.
“Let’s go now”. Alex said.
“Do I need your permission now”. Lucy said.
“Maybe Yes, cause I….” Alex said.
“Listen, am only tolerating you cause of
Jemimah”. Lucy said.
“And what have I done wrong to you cause we
just met recently and you just started fighting
with me, am only tolerating you too cause of
Jemimah”. Alex said.
Lucy didn’t say a word maybe she’s feeling
guilty. They got to their house and she entered,
Alex just continue looking at her and he smiled.

✓ Jemimah house: Mrs Jubel’s room)
Jemimah peeped to see if her mom is asleep
but she meet the other way round. She met her
mom crying, she entered and looked worried.
“Mom”? Jemimah said and her mom tried to
wipe off her tears.
“No, don’t wipe it off, share it with me mom”.
Jemimah said almost crying.
“It’s nothing”. Mrs Jubel lied.
“Mom, I will start crying if you don’t tell me
now”. She said almost crying.
“I owe some people money and some of them
came here this night threatening to kill you if I
don’t pay luckily they didn’t find you there.
Where were you?” Mrs Jubel asked.
“What, I went out for something, you mean
some people came here?”. Jemimah asked and
she nodded.
“Oh no, what will we do now, we don’t have any
money”. Jemimah said crying.
Mrs Jubel went to hug her and they both cried in
their arms till they fell asleep.
✓ Next morning 5:00 Am✓
Jemimah woke up, she looked at her mom face
and she smiled , she got up, made breakfast
and she got ready for school. She left the house
without waking up her Mom. Her and Lucy
walked to school, she noticed the look on her
face but didn’t ask anything.
✓ Maxwell College ✓
They got to the college, they saw Alex and
Jackson but Jemimah didn’t greet them. Alex
walked to them.
“Hi, morning”. Alex greeted but she didn’t reply.
Jemimah thought of telling them, but she
shrugged it off. But she could not hold it.
“I need your assistance”. She blurted out.
