The school resumed and they both travelled back to school, as usual they left with loads of advice from their parents which they both promised to abide to no matter what
In school every one was very busy studying very hard especially those in ss3 and jss3 because that’s the term they are writing their waec.
As for those that were delivered, people are gradually association with them, the school herself has become more better and free from demøns and different kinds of havoc unlike before when different types of unimaginable things used to happen both in the day time and at night.
After two months of school resumption, the time table for junior waec came out, some where so scared of the fort coming exam while the serious ones were very happy, they can’t wait to write the exams and leave the school so as to come back for their senior secondary.
A week and some days after the timetable was released the exam commenced, it was going very easily for the serious students while the none serious students are always getting into trouble, they were always caught in malpractice, either with expos also known as (mgbo or omokrikri) or they are caught peeping from their neighbors books.
After three weeks and three days, the exam was over and they all can’t hide their excitement as some who are from Umuahia packed their bags and headed home that same day.
Gift and Rose stayed two days more to make sure nothing more is needed from them in school before traveling back home.
They got home and as usual, home is home, they are back to farm work and some minor hard labours will be involved too, Gift is not quite happy about coming home to stress herself, left for her she would have love to stay one more week back in school if not for Rose.
They are both rapidly turning into big girls, and becoming more beautiful too.
The days are fast progressing just as if Gifts prayers is really working out for her good.
After a month and three weeks, the school reopened but their results are not out yet, they waited for two more weeks before it came out, when they got the news they were very excited and can’t wait to go back to school.
One day while they were both going to the stream, they started discussing on how they would want their results to be.
Rose visualized how her results will be…… She said she will have five distinctions and four credits and no fail….. Gift said, me too ooo, I will have distinctions all through, 11 solid distinctions.
Rose said and started laughing, how can you have 11 distinctions, na special center abi na miracle center you dey write ur exams, even miracle center no go give you 11 distinctions. Haba! nawa for you oo Gift, every time you will be wishing for what is not possible.
Rose was jokingly laughing, Gift was angry and left Rose to the stream.
Two days later they both travelled to the school for their results, their results were excellent but Rose’s own was the best amongst the two, she had 6 distinctions, 4 credits and 1 very good she was happy, Gift had 4 distinctions, 5 credits and 2 very good.
As usual she was jealous of Rose, she always envied Rose because she is always a step ahead of her……..for that reason she refused talking to Rose on their way back home, Rose tried all her possible best to cheer her up but all to no avail.
They travelled silently until they got home.
