Every preparation was made for them to travel to school and the two friends were beyond happy as they both meet each time to discuss their happiness of going to school.
Then a day before they will leave, both parents called their children in their various homes and gave them motherly and Godly advice
Rose’s Mother : My daughter, I love you so much and so does your father and siblings too, as you are going to leave me here and go to college I don’t like it, I wished you are staying here with me and going to school from home but what can I do since it is your destiny to go to boarding school and so I think it is the will of God
My daughter, what I want to tell you is that, the place you are going to, you will see many calibers of people from different backgrounds, and also many people with different characters and age differences, you will also see Christians, Muslims, ogbanjes, pøssessed people, and since it is a girls school you will see lêsbians (paused and look at her daughter)
I know you will not understand what I mean by lesbiãns, but let me explain it to you
Rose smiled and told her mum that she knew what lesbiãnism means.
The mother was shocked as she looked at her 11 years old girl and wondered how this generation is rapidly growing and gaining knowledge of what they themselves don’t know during their own days until they became aunties.
Rose tapped her mother and snapped her out of her thoughts
Rose: mama I know you must be thinking of how I got to know the meaning of that word well, I read it in a book so I checked the meaning up in the dictionary it was there I find out what it meant, that’s it mama
Her mother looked at her and signed…. Then continues with her advice
Well my dear, I am very glad that you knew the meaning and I hope you also know that it is a sin and taboo before the Lord and against humanity and your own body too, because your body is the temple of GOD
So I heard that lesbiãnism is very rampant in girls school so please don’t indulge in it, don’t associate yourself with ungodly people and this school mother of a thing, don’t do it no matter what, most of them are not good people, they are either lesbiån or pøssessed people but only few are good and godly
Please don’t ever be any bodies school daughter, is God that protects some one and not a school mother, but be good and respectful to every one, be humble but not stupid, don’t overdo anything, because too much of everything is not good, be a good listener and always count and arrange your words before you say anything
Don’t be a talkative and don’t be a bully, join Christian fellowship and always go to church, don’t forget to always pray and read your Bible
Remember what joshua said in the book of joshua chapter 1vs8.
Please my daughter, don’t beg, borrow or collect things from anyone but rather wh@tëver you need tell me and I will try as much as possible to provide it for you biko nwam(please my daughter)
I am not restricting you from making friends but rather mind the kind of friends you will make, choose your friends and don’t let your friends choose you, always stay out of trouble and most importantly remember the kind of home you came out from, you have to take your studies very serious because that is the main reason you are going to school
Always remember that studying hard is your number one priority, focus and also make a determination within you to always read and pass your exams, don’t involve your self in examination malpractice, any thing you don’t know just leave, always do your best, I trust you in that aspect.
please always make sure you make your family proud
I will always put you in prayers and God will see you through
Always make sure you tell your friend Gift what is right and wrong and no matter what don’t quarrel or keep malice with her because she is the only friend and sister that you have there.
I will give you your olive oil tomorrow and make sure you always pray and rob it before you sleep at night, our pastor will pray for you tomorrow before you leave and I and your father will also pray and bless you too.
Please be the good girl that you have always been and don’t let anyone influence you to do bad things not even your best friend or teachers.

They both hugged themselves and cry for sometime.
Gift mother also gave Gift similar advice, in fact it was as if the two mothers planned and rehearsed on what to tell their children
When Gift’s mother finished advising her, Gift was happy too for all the advice and promised her mother that she will remember all her advice and Will make her proud, she also promised to take her studies serious and stay out of trouble.
That gladdens her mother’s heart and she embraced her daughter very passionately.
The next day, they were both ready as their mothers followed them to the park, both women wants to accompany their children to college because it is their first time and also to avoid stories that touches, they don’t want to endanger their children by leaving them to travel to Umuahia alone.
The journey was a successful one because from Isuikwuato to Umuahia is not too far, just an hour drive.
On getting there, the parents met with the principal and begged him to put their children in the same room and luckily for them, when the principal glance through his accommodation list, the two of them were in the same hostel room with four other girls
Making it a total of six girls in one room, the two women were happy as they exclaimed thank God in unison, before they left, they made sure that there children settled very well in their room, another round of advice was given to them again, this time around together and from both mothers.
They thanked their mothers for the advice and promised to do according to all they were advised.
Around 4pm, they exchanged goodbye greetings and left with a sad face because they are going to miss their children very badly.
