{THE BEGINNING}
<
The ringing of the alarm woke Jayden from his peaceful sleep and he hissed loudly, feeling like hitting the alarm clock.
He was about sleeping back when he remembered that he’s writing an entrance examination in ‘Lake High School’.
It’s actually a boarding school and he was lucky to be writing a scholarship exam.
Jayden stood up from the bed as he entered his bathroom,it didn’t took long before he came out.
He finished dressing up and he walked to the dinning, seeing his mom (Rachel) and his younger brother (Blaze).
“Morning mom” He greeted with a smile on his handsome face.
“How was your night?” Rachel asked.
“Great, can’t you greet?” He asked, referring to Blaze.
“I can’t greet you,you don’t deserve my greetings” Blaze said jokingly and Jayden glared at him hard.
They ended up smiling.
“I can’t see you’re disrespectful” Jayden poked his nose and he winced.
“What for? I pray you don’t pass in the exam you’ll write today” Blaze said and Jayden mood changed immediately.
“I’m sorry” Blaze said, going on his knees.
“Don’t wish me bad next time” Jayden cautioned and he nodded.
Jayden sat on the available chair beside his mom and he started eating the meal his mom prepared.
The meal he’s eating can’t even reach a small child satisfaction.
Immediately he was done eating,he wiped his mouth with a tissue paper before hanging his bag at his back.
“I wish you success in your exam” Rachel said and he smiled concisely, sighing afterwards.
“Ok mom” He replied, going out of the house.
Jayden went to the roadside and board a cab, heading to Lake High School.

Immediately Jayden arrived the school,all eyes landed on him as the girls started drooling on him while the guys were beaming in anger.
They were actually jealous of his handsomeness.

The girls were kept on drooling on him and he sighed.
“They’re crazy” He muttered.
He became confused,not knowing where to head to cos this is the first time he’s coming to the school,aside from the day he came to register.
Jayden didn’t know the direction to head to,he was standing like a tree until a girl approached him.
“You’re new here?” She asked and he nodded.
“Are you part of those writing scholarship entrance exam?” The girl asked.
The moment he nodded his head,she spat on the ground immediately, she’s a rich breed and she h@tës people from the poor.
For he saying that he’s part of those,that means that he’s actually poor.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, bringing out his small phone from his pocket.
She squeezed her face in disgust, regretting why she approached him in the first place.
“Nothing, just follow me” She said, hastening her steps as he had no choice than to walk faster.
“Here’s the examination hall” She said, walking away.
“She’s weird” Jayden sighed.
He entered the hall and saw alot of students sitted for the exam.
They were just staring at him as he entered.
“Good morning sir” He greeted the male principal and he nodded.
“You’re quite late” Mr Ryan said and he apologized.
“Sit, your exam sheet would be brought to you after some minutes” Mr Ryan said and he nodded.

A lady could be seen working on a cloth as she was so concentrated with what she’s doing.
Sofia’s stores in a big store where people come to sew different types of cloth they like.
Sofia sighed as the place the cloth before the sewing machine, she began sewing it.
She was still on it when the door opened and Hazel walked in.
Hazel jumped on Sofia’s body immediately she saw her.
“Good morning aunt” Hazel greeted cheerfully.
“How are you doing today?” Sofia asked with a smile on her face.
“I’m doing fine aunt” She replied.
“What of your parents?” Sofia asked.
“They’ve gone to work already” Hazel smiled.
“Hazel do you know you’re supposed to be in school by now?” Sofia grinned and she sighed.
“I don’t like Lake High School,the students there are so rude and my parents keep forcing me to go to that school” Hazel pouted and Sofia sighed.
“Don’t be bothered about the students in that school,I can see the school is a good one,so you shouldn’t be hesitating to go” Sofia persuaded.
“I’ll think about it” Hazel mumbled.
“Good girl”
“I’ll be on my way home now” Hazel said before leaving.
She went to the roadside and started waiting for a cab as the breeze keep blowing her brown long hair.
She was still looking for a cab when a car splashed water on her clothes.
“Ouch!!” She almost screamed.
The person came out from the car and it turn out to be a student from Lake High School.
Lake High School is a boarding school but she wondered why the person isn’t in school at this time of the day.
“Can’t you see,why the hell will you splash me water” She glared hard at the guy who had a blank expression on his face.
“A pretty lady like you shouldn’t be shouting, c’mon” The guy said, trying to touch her but she stepped back.
“Don’t try to touch me with your leprosy hand, you’re stinking” She said, sniffing the air.
“I’m Lexi by the way” He said and she glared more at him.
“I didn’t ask for your name” She rolled eyes, walking away.
“This dude is crazy” He muttered, entering his car.

“Time up!” The supervisor in the exam hall said and all pens went down.
Jayden sighed as he submitted his paper, walking out of the hall only to bump into a guy.
“Ohh! I’m sorry” He apologized quickly.
“I’m not angry,you seem cool, I’m Richard” Richard said, bringing his hand for handshake.
“Jayden” He said, accepting the handshake.
“Can we be friends?” Richard asked and Jayden nodded.
“Where are you actually heading to?” Richard asked.
“To the cafeteria” He replied.
“I’m actually planning to go there, let’s go” Richard said and they began walking while chatting.
“You’re brilliant” Jayden said.
“Why did you say so?” Richard asked.
“For you being the first to submit is something to write home about, and I can see the seriousness in you” Jayden replied.
“If you say so,the supervisor said we’re going to receive our scores this evening, she’ll post it in the school platform” Richard said.
“I know” Jayden replied and that’s when they arrived the cafeteria.

The girls began arguing and Richard started smiling.
“My gold hair is making me handsome” He said, trying to tease Jayden.
Jayden only smiled.
They ordered for the same food and they started eating silently until Richard broke the silence.
“I wish I’m rich” Richard said.
“You’ll be rich, just like your name sound, Richard” Jayden said and Richard smiled.
“I’m wish I’m rich too” Jayden said and they were interrupted with some sets of guys.
The guy who splashed water on Hazel body (Lexi) spat on their food and the rest of the guys at his back started laughing.
Jayden sighed as he was staring at the spit inside his food.
Lexi is actually the principal arrogant son.
“Tell me who the hell you are!! Are you insane!!” Richard yelled, trying to fight Lexi but Jayden was trying his possible best to calm him down.
Richard held Lexi’s collar and Lexi was just staring at him without making attempt to do anything.
“Is it because you’re rich?” Richard shouted and the next thing that followed was a slap.
It’s actually a friend of Lexi that slapped him.
Soon,the students started recording the scene, some were taking photos, some were taking videos while some were laughing hysterically.
Richard managed to fight back his tears as he walked out of the restaurant.
Jayden was about following him but Lexi spat on his clothe, making him stop on the spot.
“I actually came for you” Lexi smirked.
Jayden didn’t say a word as he went out of the cafeteria, looking for Richard.
He was becoming tired of searching for Richard until an idea popped into his head.
He started walking to the male restroom and he met Richard, crying bitterly.
“I told you not to argue with them but you paid deaf ears” Jayden scolded.
“If I had known,I wouldn’t try to be proving so stubborn” Richard sniffed.
“Did you think I’m foolish when I don’t fight back? I’m trying to stay away from troubles” Jayden scolded him more.
He moved closer to Richard and started patting his back slowly.

“So how was the exam?” Rachel asked, immediately Jayden arrived the house.
“Not bad” He replied.
“Where’s Blaze?” He asked.
“He went to his part-time jobs” Rachel replied and he sighed, entering the bathroom.
He came out after finish bathing, checking out himself in the mirror.
“I know I look hot” He chuckled, wearing his clothe.
He walked back to the sitting room, sitting beside his mom while watching TV.
“Mom is any food available?” He asked and she shook her head sadly.
“I’m sorry son, it’s all my fault,had it been I have a job while your father is alive, we’re not going to be suffering like this” Rachel said.
“I understand mom” He said, patting her back while remembering what Lexi and his friends did to Richard.
