DAMIEN’S POV?
I woke up in the morning. She was lying next to me, sleeping soundly. I wanted to touch her face but, restrained myself from doing that.
What’s she going to say when she wakes up? A mistake? Hell no, he needs to leave, before he hears her whine about it.
I got out of bed. I walked into the bathroom to take a bath. Soon, I was done. I came into the room and she was still sleeping.
I sighed and went to my closet. I sorted out clothes for myself and put them on. I was ready for work in the next twenty minutes. I grabbed my car keys. I carried my briefcase.
She was still fast asleep when I turned to look at her. Like an angel, she stirred and yawned, but never opened her eyes. I gulped hard.
She’s definitely going to be hungry by the time she wakes up. I will make some food when I get to the kitchen.
I came close to her. I kissed her forehead. She mumbled inaudible words that I couldn’t help but smile. I stood up and walked out.
Twenty minutes later, I came back into my room. I almost bumped into her. My brain almost stopped working. Not with her standing stark naked infront of me. I swallowed hard and forced my eyes away from her.
I hurried into my study looking for nothing. I just wanted to get away from her, but she came in. My body registered her presence in a strange manner.
“”Hey I…” I heard her voice behind me and I interrupted,
“You’re awake?”
“Of course I’m awake and…”
“I’m leaving for work, I made some food for you in the kitchen and…”I rattled out immediately feeling so uneasy around her.
She should’ve put on some clothes to save me from this temptation. My phone started ringing, “Sorry I need to take this” I patted her shoulder feeling relieved that someone was calling.
“Yeah, Hello Miss De_ra…” I said and she took a glance at me. I walked out.
“I’m in your company.”
“You’re in my company? What are you doing there?”
“Won’t you hurry over?”
I scampered out and headed to my office.
“Sir,” I heard Vero’s voice behind me, as I neared the elevator.
“Yes.”
She bowed.
“What’s Miss De_ra doing in my office?” I asked her.
She shrugged,”I don’t know, she was saying something about seeing you.”
“Seeing me?” I gasped almost exploding. Why would she wake up in the morning, and the first thing that comes to her mind is to come see me?
I stepped into the elevator with her behind me. And she clicked on one of the upstair buttons.
“You know how Miss De_ra is like. She must get on your nerves in order to satisfy herself.”
“I thought she’d be grown up by now”
“Well, she didn’t.”
I eyed her and she spread her lips into a smile.
I frowned at her,”Don’t you dare smile. You’re the worst.”
The elevator chimed and then opened. We stepped out and headed to my office. Vero helped me with the door and I walked in.
And there, she sat on my seat, with her legs crossed humming to herself.
I heaved.
Of course, this is De_ra that I used to know. I walked slowly towards her but, she didn’t bother to look at me. She knew I was here, with the smirk on her face.
“Get up” I said calmly, and she looked up. She sat up properly and spread out her arms for a hug.
“Hug me, I’ve missed you.”
I ignored her, “Just get up.”
She crossed her arms frowning.
“Is that how you welcome me?”
“Welcome you? I didn’t ask you to come see me. I thought this madness of yours ended last year?”
“Last year? Madness?” She smiled with a stern face, “Don’t you think we should be getting closer now that our company will become one soon.”
“Have some respect for yourself De_ra. I don’t plan on getting closer to you ever again if not business.”
“Oh, still what I am talking about.”
“No, you’re speaking another language. I mean business. Besides, my board members haven’t decided on it.”
“They will.”
“Don’t you think you should be in your office now?” I asked getting tensed up.
“Of course, but because of this feelings I have for you, I won’t mind.” She said shrugging.
“Please get up, I have things to attend to.”
“On a friday, I will only get up from here if you go on a date with me.”
“I think you always have time to joke around.” I moved closer to her and began to pull her out of my seat.
“Leave me alone!”she wriggled.
I pulled her off and sat down. Phew! Why would a full grown woman be so childish. She smirked at me and then sat on my laps.
“What do you think you’re doing?” I asked. She circled her arms around my neck.
“This is better,” she mumbled.

“What’s going on here?” I heard Diane’s voice which got me startled. How did she get into my office? Maybe not her…but its her! And she’s standing by the door looking at me.
She stepped in. Oh Sh|t!
“Oh! That’s Diane! She’s gotten older than I last saw her.”
I tried pushing her off but she didn’t bulge. Gosh! Why is she doing this to me?
“Is this why you were in a hurry to leave the house?” Diane asked and I was lost for words.
“Diane, it’s not what you think…De_ra get off now!”
“Why should I? Weren’t you planning on introducing me to her?”
I bit my lower lips.
“De_ra, what do you think you’re doing?”
“What am I doing?” She pointed at Diane, “Or what is she doing here? Still follows you around like you’re her savior? Making the wrong choices and running back to you like a lost puppy”
“De_ra!!!” I called but she pecked me.
“Whoa! I didn’t know you and De_ra are a thing.”
“Diane, it’s not what you think.”
“We’re a thing of course. Did he tell you about our company merger? Oops, that’s going to be a hot gist soon but…don’t tell me that he didn’t tell you,” she gasped and cupped her lips, “Dee, you didn’t tell her?”
“De_ra stop! What’s wrong with you? Why are you doing this to me?”
“I’m sorry I came over last night and…”
“No, you can’t be sorry. This is De_ra and you know how she’s like.”
“Yeah, and that’s why you ignored me all morning isn’t it?”
“Diane…”
“I was just curious. That’s why I followed you. I’m sorry for doing that. But, you should’ve explained things to me clearer yesternight so I won’t…I won’t make a fool out of myself”
“Thank God you know, that you’re always making a fool out of yourself” Diane replied, glaring daggers at her.
