Jayden hand felt Whitney’s side face and she gulped softly.
He leaned closer to her face as his hand went to her earlobe.
Suddenly, he pulled the earpiece out, took his other hand which was laying on hers on the bench away, and groaned.
Her eyes blinked fast and she frowned lightly at him.
“Why did you pull that off??”
“You might be distracted again if another music plays. Just answer my question first” He said.
She sighed and looked at her thighs.
“What’s that?” She asked.
“How did you find out of the bet? If anyone told you, who? And most importantly, do…you know any secret behind the bet?” He asked.
“What secret?, I know nothing else” She lied.
“How did you find out?” He asked.
“Someone sent a recording to me. I guess you were drunk then, judging from your nonsense voice”
“Hey. My voice is cool. Why would you refer it to as nonsense? People like it” He touched his adam’s apple.
“Kid yourself” She scoffed.
“Wait? Someone sent a recording to you? When I was drunk? What did I say?”
“Gosh! What else? You obviously spilled the beans. You said you made a bet on me…to date and have me laid. Stupid” She blurted, and rolled her eyes dramatically.
Jayden scratched his head.
“Apart from that, did I say anything else?”
“Nope”
“Who sent you the recording?” He asked.
“Could it be John?” He thought.
“It was sent to me via facebook by an anonymous person”
“The fb person doesn’t have a username?” He arched his brows.
“I think it was black…No,,, green shadow” Whitney nodded.
“What?? Green shadow??”
“Why? You know that person?”
“Yes. I mean no. I mean,,, kind of”
“What do you mean?” She asked.
“This green shadow also sent me a picture once. That was during my first year in WSU. 3 years back” He replied.
“A picture? What picture?”
“It was a picture of Natalie kissing some unknown guy. Thanks to the picture, she got exposed. Maybe she was cheating on me? I’m even confused. She refuses to tell me more about the guy too”
“We don’t know for sure if she was cheating on you. We need to calm down and catch this…green shadow” She bit the side of her upper lip gently.
“Can I have that recording? The recording green shadow sent you” He muttered.
“Yeah. Hold on” She nodded and went into her messenger.
She scrolled down a bit, and after seeing green shadow on the list, she tapped it and she was led into the chatroom.
“Let’s hear it” Jayden said, and placed the earpiece into his ear.
Whitney took a piece and pressed play.
At once the recording played;
~ I said I made a bet on Whitney. I’m gonna date her…and I was given a week. if I don’t get her before this weekend, It’s over. I’m gonna have to spill my biggest…secret. I’m…~
When he heard this, his eyes widened a bit.
“When…when did I say this? I sound awfully drunk” He thought.
“Wait,,, I think I’m getting something. I actually remember drinking to stupor after talking with Natalie. I went home afterwards and met Desmond? Yes, Desmond. I must have let the cat out of the bag at that moment. Gosh!” He muttered inwardly.
“What’s it? Do you know who must have sent it?” She asked.
“I think I do. Wait. I’ll be right back” He quickly stood up.
“Huh? Wait up!” She shouted and got on her feet.
Unfortunately, the bench sharp piece snapped her gown from the backside and gave it a tear.
She heard the ripping sound and touched it. Her eyes widened when she noticed there was a tear.
“Jayden!” She suddenly called and sat down. Her body was already shaking. She was so nervous.
Jayden turned and went to her.
“What’s it?” He asked.
“My gown…It has a tear” She muttered, looking at his shoes.
“What? How?” He asked.
“The bench” She replied.

He suddenly took off his denim jacket he was wearing and she gasped, taking her eyes off him quickly.
“Gosh! What do you think you’re doing?” She muttered.
“Stand up in the count of 2. Quickly”

She widened her eyes and stood up as fast as she could. Jayden quickly surrounded his arms around her waist and wrapped his jacket there.
She folded her lips watching him tie the jacket’s sleeves into a knot on her tummy side.
Her eyes were on his masculine body. Sëx¥ was an understatement for what she was seeing.
Plus the fact she was looking at his handsome face from up close.
“Gosh” She whispered and swallowed hard. He was sure making her drool.
“Can we go now?” He asked, and took her eyes to her face.
He scanned her pretty face from up close and gave a quick smile.

Many girls murmured about, with their eyes fixed on him as they ambulated around.
Whitney looked at them with a frown.
“Hello? Can’t they see you’re with your fake girlfriend? They should have fear, at least” She mumbled.
He smiled.
“Let’s just go”
“No. You can’t leave like this” She shook her head.
He rubbed his chest.
“So, What do I do?”
“Give a call to Desmond”
He sighed and sat down.
“I won’t”
She slowly sat with him.
“Why not? Did you two fight?”
“I think he’s green shadow”
“What? What makes you think so?”
“He’s the one whom I told that stuff to” He answered.
Whitney inhaled deeply.
“Okay then. Let’s call Clark first. Afterwards, we will both confront him to know if he’s really the one”
“There a something strange though” Jayden cooed.
“What’s that?” She asked.
“The same green shadow sent me the picture of Natalie kissing a guy. But I don’t think it was Desmond that sent that. He was in the hostel thoroughout that day”
“So maybe, there’s a lot and more to what the eyes sees and to what the mind thinks”
He nodded.
“Firstly, Let’s call Clark to bring a shirt for you”
He nodded and gave him a call.
