Summer slowly opened her eyes but she shut them back rubbing the hand against her eyes, she slowly opened them again and looked around
she didn’t need anyone to tell her where she was cos of the white walls and the sounds of machine
She sat up
“You’re awake,” Mrs. Winfrey’s said beside her
Summer looked at her like a stranger, staring around the room and her eyes began to twitch, images of what happened and how Justin risked his life to save her came rushing into her head
“Where is Justin?” she asked softly
Her mother held her hand
“Baby he’s still in a coma,” Mrs. Winfrey replied, trying not to cry
“Take me to him, I want to see him,” she said impatiently
“You need….”
“Take me to my brother, I want to see him… Justin…. Justin,” she shouted, already on her feet
A nurse came forward and escorted her, Summer stared at Justin who is sleeping on the bed with all those wires fixed on him
“Why is he not waking up?” she asked, not taking her eyes off him
“He sustained a terrible injury during the fall and his kidney was affected so he needs a new one, we haven’t found a donor yet but….”
“Take mine,” she quickly cut in
“Summer! Baby no,” Mrs. Winfrey shouted shocked
“I’m 19 and it’s my right to decide, I want my brother to have one of mine…”
“No, you’re not doing that,” Mrs. Winfrey cut in shaking her head in the process
“It’s her medical right ma’am, she’s 19 so it’s her decision, not yours,” Dr. Rex said gently
Mr. Winfrey couldn’t believe it, did he just encourage her daughter to remove one of her kidneys? Thought they agreed to wait for a donor.
“When is that surgery starting?” Summer asked
“In an hour

{ALEX AND GEORGE}
“Stay here till I’m back, don’t leave, okay?” George asked cupping Alex’s face
They are launching their first rocket and NASA team came to witness it, not only that people from far and near also came
“I won’t dare,” Alex replied in a sweet voice
He pecked her lips
“I have to go,” he left instantly
Ashely walked over to her, she looked at George before returning her gaze to Alex
“That was weird,” she uttered
“I know,” Alex replied with a straight face
Alex has been following her around after Danica instructed her to but fake Ashely isn’t ready to say anything meaningful and Alex won’t give up either
“how do you manage with someone like him? I mean his ASD, the physical touch, the weirdness, playing the same way, quick to get upset and….”
“He’s actually the sweetest person I ever met,” Alex replied, cutting in
They are staring at the rocket that is about to take off
“Or his d_1ck is sweet?” Joy’s voice came from behind

“I love my brother very much and I don’t want you for him, stay away from my family… stay away,” Joy said rudely
Alex scoffed
“What do you know about love? Let’s start there,” Alex asked, staring directly into her eyes

“Don’t say I didn’t warn you, stay away,” Joy added and turned to leave but with a swift move Alex pulled her back by her arm
“Lemme make this clear to you, you claimed to love George so much but you and I know too well that you’re lying. where were you when he was being bullied at school? Where were you when he tried committing suicide twice? Where was this love of yours when he didn’t have any friends? He was kicked, pushed, slapped, and picked on by others, they didn’t even accept him on the team cos of his ASD where were you and this your stupid love? You were at the hospital trying to build your career and be a professional which you have become and I’m proud of that but did you at any point thought of your autistic brother?” Alex folds her arms under her Brë@št
Joy kept quiet, she has no idea that her brother went through all that, she was too busy with work to notice
“Oprah, Tyler, Maddie, Rolando, and Summer were all paid to be his friends and play with him, no one wanted to do anything with him cos of his ASD. They find him weird and awkward, I had to go begging the science teacher to take him, he will always lock himself in his room and cry till there is no tears left in his eyes, or sometimes he will go to the bridge just to cry, where were you and this your stupid crazy love?” Alex went closer, so close that they could feel each other breath
“You’re nothing but a ÇOçkalorum who wants to control others thinking your life is better than their own, a self-centered, selfish black monkey who’s dying of jealousy cos her own brother won’t let her close but he let a stranger close, a Pillock who knows nothing about love…… I was R@PED because of you! You told me to come get you on that night but then I ended up being R@PED by four guys, they left me to die, it was freezing and you didn’t tell others about me until Mrs. Greenwood and Danica came looking for me, you said it was a prank, a prank that nearly took my life!” she chuckled
“You never truly liked me from the start, Danica has to convince you by lying that I’m her cousin, my presence always intimidates you. I was there When your brother needed a family, mother, father and you were too busy with work, he could have died! but I went out of my way just to make sure he sees himself like everyone else. The truth is, I never loved him then, I was just doing it cos he was family, but then he started coming to close, I tried pushing him away but he won’t just let go, the heart choose not me, I’m not saying that you should change your mind, NO! I’m telling you this cos I want you to have a heart attack and die” She brought out her phone can call George
He picked up instantly
“George honey will you marry me?” Alex asked, her gaze fixed on joy
Ashely’s eyes widened and Brandon wasn’t let out, he actually came with Joy
“Yes, I love you. You want me to buy a ring and propose to you?” George’s voice came through the speaker
It was on loudspeaker
“Yes please,” Alex ended the call
“Joy go and die, don’t worry I won’t attend your funeral,” she started walking away
Joy was dumbfounded, she opened her mouth to talk but words refuse to come out
Alex suddenly turned and face her
“And listen, our journey ends here, from today henceforth I don’t know you and you don’t know me. if you go near him or mess with him…. you will have me to deal with Nannyhammer!” Alex said with seriousness, she stormed off
Ashely ran after her

Danica turned the pages over and over again but she still won’t find what she was looking for, Stabler tore the papers he took from her office and she can’t seem to put things together again
Stabler was apprehended by the cops after Alex shot his leg, he hasn’t said a single word since then
The door gently opened and Laura came in, she looked at Danica
“Dani you need rest, you have been going through these papers for weeks now, you need to eat something,” she said concerned
Danica didn’t take her face off the files
“Danica…”
“I’m not hungry,” she cut in
Laura went closer, touching her shoulder
“You tried…. “
“but it wasn’t enough, I can’t let him die, Laura, I kept trying but I kept failing I mean what kind of a lawyer am I if I can’t protect my husband?” she asked blinking back tears
Memories of what happened all through the week came running through her head
