“Genova” Kathrine called with shock in her voice
“Kathrine” He replied still looking at her
“Is it really you?” She asked to be sure
“It’s me” He nodded
She stood up and walked to him, she touched him and when he didn’t disappear she smiled and hug him
“I am happy to see you, what happened to you?” She asked still hugging him
“I was arrested” He replied
She broke the hug and faced him
“Arrested? by who?” She asked
“I don’t want to talk about it”
“How did you get here, how did you know I am here and when did you come in?” She asked in a rush
“Hey what’s up with the numerous questions” He frowned
“Okay, but can you tell me how you know I am here? ”
” Why are you crying? ” He asked changing the topic
She wanted to tell him everything but she didn’t want to involve him in her mess, she can’t stand to see him get hurt cos of her, let her be the one to face the consequences even if it means giving her body to Eddy
” Nothing ” She said avoiding his eyes
” You’re lying you can’t be crying for nothing ” He said
” It’s nothing serious ”
” Look at me ” He said
” Why? ”
” Look me in the eyes and tell me you are not lying ” He replied
She raised up her head to look at him but she couldn’t look at him in the eyes instead she look away
“You see you lying to me” He said and cupped her cheeks
Her body felt a sensitive sensation and she had to squeezed her hand
“Tell me the truth” He said
Not like he didn’t heard what he said to her but he wanted her to say it out herself
“What were doing you with Eddy?, why did he slapped you?” He asked
“He.. I.. uhmm, it’s my fault I lie to him, we.. are dating, yes we’re dating?” She said
His hands fell of her cheeks and he moved back
“Why will you keep lying to me, he tried to R@PE you and he made you to keep silent and now he is using your parents against you and all you could is to keep quiet and die in silence, that guy can do more than that, where is the bold Kathrine I use to know?” He asked yelling
She flinched seeing his angry face, this will be the first time she will be seeing him get angry
“Gen…”
“I heard everything, don’t dare lie to me, Eddy is a monster, do you think living in fear will solve this, you are staking your virginity here, stand up and do something, you can’t keep letting him to use you cos of your fear” He said
” Say something ” He said but…. silence follow
” You know what deal with it yourself, I am done here, good bye” He said and turn walking to the door
Kathrine quickly ran to him and hugged him from behind wrapping her hands around his waist and putting her head on his back
” Don’t leave, I am sorry ” She said gently
He sighed and slowly remove her hands before turning to her
” I want to help you” He said
“How? Eddy is more dangerous than you can imagine, he is becoming a monster Genova” She replied with fear in her voice
Genova laughed and shook his head
“You still took me as the weak guy you knew before, the guy was bullied by Eddy without saying a word but I am a different person now, I know you won’t believe me ” He smiled
“Can I trust you?”
“Yes, he said tomorrow is the last day, don’t be afraid of anything he will bring on, I got your back” He said and silence took over
Kathrine started fidgeting with her fingers, she felt nervous as her heart kept telling her to confess to him
But what if he doesn’t feel the same way? what if he reject her
“Genova I got something to tell you” She said
“What is it?”
“I… I.. l..”
“You want? are you scared to say it out” He said giving her an assuring smile
“I love… you” She said
Genova’s body became stiff immediately she confess to him, he peered into her eyes and saw her curiosity
Did he really love her?
He only see her as friend, he was shocked when he discovered she has feelings for him but he don’t feel the same
He hasn’t fallen in love before but he knows what his heart wants, he don’t feel the same way he feels anytime he is close to Scarlett… the kiss they had is still fresh in his head
“Say something Genova” She said holding his hands
“You’re a good person, you stood up for me during my weak days, you protected me, you had my back but I am sorry to say this” He paused
Kathrine heart began racing so fast, her eyes becoming misty, what she feared is about to happen
” I don’t love you, I only see you as a friend, I am not even sure of my feelings, I don’t want disappoint you if I force myself to love you ” He said breathing out so loud
Kathrine fought back her tears and looked down, looking at him will rather make her to cry
” I am sorry I didn’t feel the same way ” He said feeling bad for rejecting her
He know she is deeply hurt
” It’s okay I understand, we can still be friends ” She said with a smile
” Thank you for understanding ” He said and hug her
Five minutes they broke the hug
” I will see you tomorrow, I will be going home now” He said
“Can I visit you? ” She asked
” No need, we will deal with that bastard tomorrow ” He said, walking out
He made himself invincible immediately he stepped out
Kathrine felt relieved at least she will be getting free from Eddy hands, she don’t know but she believe him though it hurt that he doesn’t love her back
She walked back to class, walking back to her seat her eyes met with Eddy and he expected to see the fear on her look but he saw a bold and confident look on her face
“What is up with her? is she planning something?”
