LORD DOM’S ISLAND HOUSE^^^
^
Lord Dom monitored the tracker on Celia and Aria’s phone to monitor thier location, and when they stayed too long at the bus station he started to panic.

“Did that b@stard dropped them off at the bus station?” he thought,

He put his phone away wondering what could delay them at the bus station and he thought of filling gas.

He managed to relax after that thought crossed his mind but he didn’t stop monitoring thier location. He has too many enemies across the world, so he can’t let his guard down even if he is on a break.

“I should’ve gone with them,” he grumbled.

He checked their location again and they were already away from the bus station, so he began to compare it with the map location of the resort the Celia told him they were heading first.

After monitoring it for a while, their location started changing and he tried to find other resorts or anything that was along the route they were heading but he found nothing, already panicking, he checked for wherever the route could lead them and there was nothing but a valley that was few kilometers away.

“Fvck! This wasn’t a break!” he yelled, and picked his gun.

He used the boat to cross to the other side of the island and took a cab to the bus station.

He looked around trying to find a car to hijack when he saw a dispatch rider.

“How fast is this?” he asked, tapping the bike.

“Hi… how may I help you?”

“I’ll lend this for few minutes,” he said.

“This is not for rental. Working, I’m working here,”

“I didn’t ask,” he muttered, and pushed the dispatch rider away, throwing a briefcase at him, “That should be enough to rent it,” with that, he drove off.

The dispatch rider shouted after him before opening the briefcase and gasped at the pile of cash inside.
*
Lord Dom hastened the speed of the bike as he followed the tracker.

“Hang in there Aria, Daddy is coming,” he grumbled as he drove off in full speed.

He was able to arrive on time and shot few of the men while the others ran away.

“Daddy!” Aria shouted, and ran into his embrace.

“Are you ok? Are you hurt? Sorry I’m late,”

“Daddy, you weren’t late at all, your timing was perfect!” Aria said, and gave him a thump up.

He looked at Celia who was still shaken by the incidence and he shook his head in disgust

“Let’s go,” he shouted, and she stared blankly at him before she passed out.

“Celia!” Asia shouted, and ran to her.

***IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF NEW YORK***
*
Emma bowed her head in embarrassment when Jake returned with their cup of coffee.

“Iced Americano,” he said, and she nodded.

“I apologize for misunderstanding you earlier, I wasn’t really calculating,”

“It’s fine. Thanks for agreeing to meet with me,”

“Don’t mention. It’s a pleasure to share coffee with a handsome citizen, I mean, lawyer,”

“As I earlier introduced, I’m Jake, Mr. Lombardi’s lawyer,”

“It’s a pleasure meeting you, I’m Emma, Celia’s cousin,”

“You filled a petition for forceful employment, and I want to address that. This was the interview agreement duly signed by Miss Bennett, and this is the contract signed right after the employment. So I don’t understand your petition,”

“Actually, you’re right. Nothing here states that she was forcefully employed but the employment wasn’t right either. She left for the interview and never returned since then. She didn’t even contact me until few weeks ago. I was worried. The police didn’t listen to me, and the prosecutors keep pushing me around until I met that prosecutor,” she said.

“Did he approached you personally? I mean the Prosecutor,”

“Sort of,” she muttered, remembering thier encounter.

FLASHBACK***
*
Emma left the Prosecutor’s office already exhausted, she went to the closet coffee shop when someone pull the seat next to her but she was too exhausted to spare the person a glance.

“Hello,” he said, and she nodded.

“Hello,” she muttered, not ready for unnecessary conversation.

“I’m Cletus Anthony, a Prosecutor from the Agengy,”

“Ifyou’re a Prosecutor then I’m a judge,” she blurted, and shot him a glare.

She gasped the moment she saw that he was decently dressed, and fig to be a prosecutor. He have her his card, and she blinked rapidly in embarrassment.

“I didn’t know you were a Judge,” he said, teasingly.

“Oh, not that. I mean, I didn’t know you were a Prosecutor. Like, really? Are you really a Prosecutor? Can you help me?”

“You want to file a petition for your cousin who was forced to work in that mansion. I’ll help you, I need you get the petition, that’s a great entrance,”

“Entrance?”

“I’ll help you with the petition, but we have 10% chance of winning. Meaning, we might not get to court before we lose the case. They will have all necessary documents needed and other things that will void this case,”

“So, why are d so o you want to help me?”

“Because I want to send a message to them. I am really fond of those gangsters,”

“Are you really a Prosecutor? Or you’re trying to rip me with a fake ID,”

“Let’s find out after I get the petition. All I need is your cooperation,”
*
*
FLASHBACK ENDS***
*
Emma sipped from her coffee after she concluded her story.

“I never knew he was a real Prosecutor until he got the petition, he was a really nice shot,”

“Since you’re aware of the outcome, why did you proceed?”

“Because I can make demands. I’ll drop the petition if I see Celia. I only got to talk to her once, and she has been screening my messages since then. I’m not even sure if she was the one I communicated with,”

“She is out of the country now, she followed the Little Lady to Maldives, they will be back soon,”

“What? She is not even in town? Are you sure she is still alive?” she cried.

“She‘a fine. She will be back soon,”

“When?”

“Soon. I give you my words, I’ll arrange a meeting for you when she returns,”

“Can I trust you?”

“You’ve my words, trusting me is left to you,” he said, and she looked at him.

Staring directly at him, there is no way she couldn’t trust the handsome lawyer.

“I trust you,” she muttered, and he nodded.

They both went out and she was about to stop a taxi when he saw some suspicious men hovering around. They were in the coffee shop as well, and they stopped a taxi after her.

He let out a sigh and stopped Emma’s taxi.

“What? Is there a problem?” she asked.

“I’m sorry, sir, but we won’t be needing the ride. Miss Emma, I’ll give you a ride,” he said, and her eyes widened in shock.

He led her to his car and she looked at him still taken aback.

“Consider this a bribe, for you to trust me,” he said, and she chuckled.

“What a gentleman,” she mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

He pulled over at her house and she thanked him before going in.

He watched her till she went in and he saw the same suspicious man.

“Gosh, I shouldn’t get involved. I’ve done my part,” he muttered, and drove off.

He drove off, trying to distract himself with loud music but he couldn’t handle it so he took a U-turn back.

“Why’re you doing this, Jake?” he scolded.

Upon arrival, he headed straight to her apartment and heard a loud scream.

Fortunately, the door wasn’t shut so he kicked it wide open and saw a masked man aiming a knife at Emma.

They combat in a fight, and the attacker cut him with his knife in the process before he ran off, and he didn’t try to run after him.

“Oh, my. Are you ok? You’re bleeding,” she gasped.

He brought out a handkerchief from his pocket and gave it to her.

“Tie it up, I’ve to go,” he said.

“What? You’re going nowhere! You’ve to disinfect this and treat it properly. Oh, my. I wonder what that burglar wants from me,” she cried.

“I am fine, just tie it up,” he said, and she broke down in tears.

“He would’ve hurt me, he would’ve stabbed me with that knife…” she cried, and he inhaled sharply looking at her.

LORD DOM’S ISLAND HOUSE^^^
^
Celia opened her eyes and snapped her room wondering how she got there.

She flinched in fear the moment she remembered everything that happened, but she tried to compose herself thinking of the best way to face Lord Dom and Aria.

She stepped out and peck out to ensure that the coast was clear before heading out, and was startled to see Lord Dom approaching her room.

“You startled me!” she flinched.

“You startled me more. It was a crime scene, and the worst that you could do was faint there,”

“I… I…” she shuddered n fear.

She lacked the right words to defend herself because he has all reasons to be angry. She couldn’t even protect Aria, and all she could do was pass out.

“Aria is asleep, you don’t have to worry about her. But you’re too weak and that makes me worry a lot!” he snapped, and she flinched.

“I…”

“You’ve 5 minutes to join me outside, I should’ve done this sooner,” he blurted, and went out.

She trialed behind him in fear until they get outside and she was surprised to see safety foam on the ground.

“What do you desire the most?” he asked, and she looked at him.

“Like, what do I want now?”

“It can be now and if can be in the future,”

“Money. Enough money to pay for my tuition and also clear off the loan shark. Just money,” she said, wondering if he wants to give it to her.

“You just have to name the price and it’s done, and you can quit your job whenever you please. After you defeat me,”

“What?”

“I’ll teach you some basic self defense skill, and if you successfully defeat me, it’s done,”

“Really? I just have to defeat you?”

“Must I repeat that?” he snapped.

For a moment, she forgot how he reacts to exclamations like that. His daughter is just like him.
.
“But that’s not fair, you can’t teach me now and expect me to be good now,”

“Just until you defeat me, you’ve all the time in the world,” he said, and her face brightened in bewilderment.

“I’m all in,” she muttered, thinking of a way to get him unaware.

He tried to teach her the basics of self defense, but she was more preoccupied with her thoughts thinking of the best way to get him unaware.

She knows that no matter how hard she train, she can never beat him so finding a detour was her best chance of escaping and winning the deal.

She clenched her fists walking closer to him and tried to hit his leg unaware but she almost fell in the process and he was quick to hold her.

“That’s not the right move,” he said, staring directly at her.

She blinked her lashes nervously thinking of the best way to get everything under control.

“Oh, it’s Aria!” she shouted, and pointed her fingers to a direction.

He lost his focus and looked at the direction she pointed at, and she took advantage of that to pull his leg. He almost fell but he overthrown her and they both fell down together with him lying flat on her.

“You’ve to follow the basis if you want to defeat me,” he teased, staring directly at her.

She stared blankly at him and the memories of what happened the other night she got drunk replayed in her head. She couldn’t really remember everything that conspired between them that night and he pretended like nothing happened between them.

“That night… what really happened?” she found herself asking.

“What night?”

“You… I kissed you… and… I couldn’t remember what happened next,”

“Is that what you’re curious about now?”

“I’ve always been curious, but I couldn’t ask,”

“And you think now is the right time?0

“I’ve been the one answering all your questions, but you ignored mine,”

“That night… this is what happened,” he muttered, moving his lips down to her and she closed her eyes, “I was able to resist you the last time, but there is no turning back now. You can run while you can,” he said, in a low whisper loud enough for her to ear, and he kissed her.

She wrapped her arms around him deepening the kiss but his ringing phone distracted them.

He picked the phone immediately and received the call.

📞 *Boss, we were unable to confirm the identity of the attackers, and Mr. Levi has went AWOL. You should return back immediately,*
📲*Mr. Cason, you proposed this break, so why should I return because of some cheesy attacker?*
📞*Boss, this is no longer a break. Your cover has been blown,*
📲*Nah, the break just began,* with that, he dropped the call and out his phone away.

He looked at Celia who was still staring at him.

“Is there a problem?” she asked.

“I already ended the problem,” he muttered, and she kissed him.

The atmosphere was perfect, the cool breeze from the sea awakened thier desire. A soft m0an escaped her mouth as his hands played magic all over her body until he tossed away her blouse.

The moment he gently removed the strap of her bra from her shoulder, the memories of her nightstand recapped in her head. His touches, his kisses, his scent, the way her body react to his touch, her inability to resist him, and most especially the way he makes her want more of him.

He is the one, the man she has always been curious about, the man she doubted if he owes her an apology for taking advantage of her or she owes him a gratitude for saving her from George.

She managed to pull away from him, her gaze still locked in his eyes, blazing with desire.

“It’s you, you’re Mr. Dragon,” she muttered.

“I’ve been caught, what will you do to me?” he muttered.

Her face brightened in astonishment, and she wrapped her arms around him.

That answers it all, what she owe him was gratitude. He saved her from George who almost took advantage of her, and she gave herself to him willingly, back then and now.
