Mr. Marson has been in thoughts after he matched Charles and Mr. Feng out of his office. In as much as he wanted to believe their stories, he couldn’t bring himself to.

He reviewed everything he found on Carolyn, but nothing explains why she would lie to him with a fake name.

He shoved all the thoughts away and decide to focus on their claim on Violet’s d£ath.

The only way he could think of getting the footage of the hidden CCTV camera was through Ivy. Although, he promised not to involve her but that was the only way to clarify their claim. He contemplated for a while before calling her, he felt too embarrassed to call her because he haven’t reached out to her since he resigned from the company. He wondered how she was doing, but there was nothing he could do to help.

He dropped his call with Ivy who agreed to meet him the following day.
*
The next day came earlier than he expected, he was on his way from the prosecutor’s office to sort out a case, when he saw a familiar face walking along the road, dragging a luggage. He pulled over the moment he recognized the face.

“Miss Violet,” he called out but she ignored him and kept on walking.

He ran up to catch her and held her hand which made her spun around immediately.

“Who are you?!” she shouted, and spanned her hand away immediately.

“Oh, I apologize for startling you. Can’t you recognize me…”

“Who are you?”

“Oh, I must’ve got the wrong person. I’m sorry,”

“Miss Vee… I wonder what that ghost did with my body,” she grumbled, loud enough for Mr. Marson to hear as she walked away.

“Ghost? Body?” Mr. Marson thought in confusion.

He went to his office and tried to put all the odds together. Remembering the outcome of his meeting with her and also everything that has happened so far.

He suddenly found himself researching on ghosts. Although, everything online is fiction, but many of the stories are the better explanation of what was really happening.

“Vengeful ghosts wandering around, and possessing human,” he muttered, trying to put everything together.

His first meeting with Carolyn reminded him so much of Violet, and the way she spoke with emotions. Charles didn’t mention Violet present like he did the first time, he took his tablet to watch the viral video again. Trying to understand it, Charles was obviously worried about Carolyn for falling, and instantly he divert all his worries to the air.

He tried to put all the thoughts together with what he reed online, everything that happened, and what Carolyn said earlier. Even though he found an answer, he refused to believe it. A knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts and Ivy emerged in after he muttered a response.

“Mr. Marson,” she called cheerfully all smiles.

Her cheerful expression reminded him a lot of her mother, and he couldn’t help but smile back.

“Miss Holt,” he called, and she ran into his embrace.

“I’ve missed you so much Mr. Marson,” she said, and he tightened the hug.

“I would’ve asked us to meet somewhere else, but I have a lot of work to do,”

“If that’s an apology, it’s accepted,” she said, and chuckled.

They disengaged later and she saw the picture of Carolyn on his table.

“Carolyn,” she called, and picked it up immediately.

“Do you know her?”

“Yes. She is my colleague at school. Why do you have her picture?”

“Music school?”

“No. I haven’t tell you yet. I’m studying business management now,”

“Wow. That’s good,”

“You haven’t tell me why you have this picture of Carolyn? Is she in some kind of trouble?”

“You seem to care about her, anyways, she is simply related to some case I’m working on. Tell me everything you know about her,”

“Nothing. She is just kinda weird,”

“In what way? Any information you give me could be helpful,”

“She thought I was allergic to lemon,”

“You’re allergic to garlic, not lemon,”

“Yes. But my sister thought I was allergic to lemon. She acts off at times, most especially the other day at school. She suddenly stood up for me after she clearly drew a line between us. And the day she tried to commit sulcide, she suddenly embraced me saying weird stuffs. She is just weird that’s all. I can’t put all the pieces together. But baffles me most is her relationship with Charles. They seem close,”

“You haven’t changed at all. You’re still a talkative,” he said, and she chuckled.

“Only with you. You’re the only one who always listens to my blabbing, I guess I haven’t grown from that,”

“Who’s Charles?”

“Oh, that? I mentioned it? I don’t think you can know him,”

“Charles Hewlett?”

“How do you know him?”

“I told you Carolyn is related to a case I’m working on so that explains it. What about you?”

“He is the dreamer,”

“What dreamer?”

“On, I didn’t mean to hid this but it just doesn’t come out right. Anyone could think I’m making it up or something,”

“Anyone but me,”

“Of course, anyone but you,” she chuckled.

“I’m all ears,” he said, and she found herself telling him everything.

“Oh… he knew your sister and always sees you in his dream,”

“It sounds unbelievable but that’s the truth I can believe,”

“You also doubt it?”

“I did, but not anymore,”

“Why are you curious about his relationship with Miss Carolyn?”

“It’s just… they seem close,”

“And that bothers you?”

“Not really,”

“Alright. We will talk about Mr. Hewlett later,”

“There is nothing much to say,” she chuckled, and he smiled.

“Ivy, how are you coping at that house?”

“I moved out,”

“Finally. You should’ve done that sooner and inform me the moment you made that decision. Where do you live now? Who do you live with?”

“A hotel. I’m still searching for a comfortable apartment close to my school,”

“Then you should’ve come to me. How long have you been at a hotel?”

“Few days,” she said, playing with her fingers, and he held her hand.

“Who’s your secret best friend?” he asked, and a smile curved on her lips as she remembered the bond they formed when she was 6-year-old.

“Mr. Marson,” she muttered.

“What do best friends do?”

“Tell each other everything,”

“So, what are you holding back?” he asked, and she broke down in tears.

“They kllled her. They kllled my sister,” she cried, and Mr. Marson’s eyes widened in shock.

“How did you know?” he asked.

“You knew… all along?”

“I recently found out,”

“How and when?”

“I know this is difficult to believe,”

“You knew they murdered her and you did nothing about it!”

“I found out recently, and that’s why I summoned you here,”

“How’d you find out?”

“It’s a little complicated. But you should’ve tell me as well since you knew,”

“I recently found out myself, that’s why I can’t return to that house,”

“How did you find out?”

“I overheard thier conversation, and I confronted them,”

“I’m glad that you’re safe,”

“What about you? How’d you know?”

“Since it has gotten to this, I’ll have to summon him here as well,”

“Who?”

“The person that told me. It will be best for you to see him as well,”

“How’d he know?”

“Give me a moment,” he said, and called Charles, fixing a time to meet up.

He dropped the call and looked at Ivy who was impatiently waiting for his response.

“He said he could see your sister, they said they could see Ms. Holt,” he muttered, and started the long story that sounded unreal to Ivy until Charles and Carolyn.

Charles confession collide with everything that Mr. Marson summed up himself made him believe everything, and to his surprise, he found himself admitting it.
*
Ivy pulled away from the embrace and shook her head in disbelief.

“This is not possible, it all doesn’t make sense. How can you be my sister? This is impossible!” she snapped.

“I know you won’t believe it, that’s why I had to come up with that dreamer story. I don’t even take siestas, so now can I see you in my dreams in the afternoon to come to your rescue. It has been your sister all along, she has been closely monitoring you. And only recently, she was able to possess Carolyn and I came to her rescue when she was in trouble. That’s the peculiar relationship we shared,” Charles said, and Ivy shook her head in disbelief.

“No. That can’t be. It doesn’t make sense,”

“So what make sense to you? Dreaming about you and others? The truth doesn’t make sense but a creepy lie those,” he said, and she didn’t stop shaking her head.

“No,” she muttered, in tears.

“Get a grip, Ivy!” Charles snapped, and grabbed her hands, staring directly at her.
“You know it’s all true, but you refuse to accept it because it doesn’t make sense,” he said.

“Charles, that’s enough. She doesn’t have to believe it,” Carolyn/Violet said.

“Miss Holt, I know this doesn’t make sense. Just like you, I don’t want to believe it either but there are times when you find yourself believing what is highly unbelievable because that’s the truth no matter how you try to deny it,” Mr. Marson said.

“Violet…” Ivy called, and broke down in tears. Carolyn/Violet sniffed in tears fighting the urge to embrace her.

Ella hired someone to personally go around the neighborhood that Carolyn grew up to get informations about her, and started reviewing what he reported back.

“She is a witch,” she said, unable to control her laughters.

“That’s what I got in her that differs from what you knew about her,”

“And you call this a report? A witch? Are you kidding me? Did I paid you to report this trash back to me?!” she snapped, throwing the file at him.

“Ma’am, it could be true,”

“Could? You aren’t even certain with your report? Gosh, what do you take me for?”

“She descend from the clan of witches. It’s true ma’am, she is the only direct female descendant left after her grandmother passed away,” he said, and Ella threw her wallet at him.

“Will you keep quiet?!” she snapped, and he exhaled heavily.

“The information I got from a classmate of hers who still based in that neighborhood, Elena Williams could clear your doubts. The lady in question has been weird since childhood, she communicate with the unknown and have been living alone with her grandmother in an abandon castle before her grandmother passed away. Pictures of the castle is there,”

“Get out!” Ella shouted, and he bowed slightly before leaving.

She thought about it all for a while and shook her head at trash he reported.

She returned home later and was surprised to see Maxwell in the parking lot waiting for her.

“What happened?”

“Where have you been? I tried to reach you,”

“What happened?!”

“Ivy is back,”

“Why did she suddenly returned? And why does it bother you?”

“Aren’t you worried at all? She knows everything and she suddenly returned with so much vigor,”

“And the whole world is going to hear it from you as she did. She is probably done sulking. We should’ve a conversation with her,”

They were heading inside when a car suddenly drove into the compound, and Mr. Josh alighted from the car.

“The CCTV footage,” Mr. Josh said, and they both looked at him.

“What CCTV?” they both asked in unison.

“Mr. Martin informed me of Miss Holt return, she might be back to get the CCTV footage that could serve as evidence,”

“We erased it all,” Ella said.

“No. There is a hidden camera in the parking lot. Mr. Marson planted it there. He is close to Miss Holt, he might’ve tell her about it,”

“What?!” they both shouted.

“Why are you just telling us this?!” Ella yelled.

“I’m afraid it’s already late. I got the footage, and sent it to Mr. Marson already,” Ivy said, approaching them.

“What…” Maxwell slurred

“Come with me, Ivy. This is just the beginning,” they heard Mr. Marson said from behind, and they all looked at him.
