Ivy managed to calm herself down after bawling her eyes out.
She sat on the couch next to Mr. Marson looking at Charles and Carolyn.
“Ivy, you don’t have to believe us. You don’t need to believe that your sister possessed this body,” Charles said.
“Then, why did you tell me?” she asked, sniffing in gently.
“Because if we want to work together, transparency is crucial,” he said, looking at Mr. Marson.
“Work together on what?”
“Ivy, even if you chose not to believe everything, at least trust the part that your sister’s ghost is wandering around, watching over you and seeking for revenge. That’s better than believing that dreamer stuff,”
“That’s enough. We don’t have time for all these. Miss Holt, I won’t convince you to believe them. I also can’t imagine myself believing all these. But we’ve to work together. Trust me, if you can’t trust them,”
“I trust you, Mr. Marson,”
“Good. Ms. Holt was murdered, you confirmed it yourself, now what we need is evidence to prove it,”
“How do we get that? I’m sure they already destroyed any evidence,”
“They can only destroy what they can see,”
“I don’t quite get,”
“There is a hidden CCTV camera in the parking lot, it was once connected to my old computer that I replaced. I have longed forgotten that the camera existed. But there is somewhere else you can find its footage,”
“Dad’s office at the basement?” Ivy asked.
“How do you know about that?”
“The basement was basically my only place at the house, so…”
“Ivy, what nonsense are you spouting?“ Carolyn/Violet said.
“Vee…” Charles cautioned.
“I guess you might really be her. Even after everything, you still take my words as nonsense,” Ivy said, and Violet/Carolyn jaw dropped.
“I’m sure Mr. Martins and Miss Blake haven’t get their hands there yet. The office only contain old books now, but the computer there should still be working,”
“It’s working,”
“Good. So you have to go get the footage,”
“What?!” Carolyn/Violet shouted.
“What?” Charles asked a bit lost.
“Why would Ivy return to that house again? I’m sure those two are planning a way to get rid of her so why would you have her return there?! Is this why you involved her? To put her life at risk,”
“Vee…”
“Miss… I’ll never gamble with Miss Holt,”
“But that’s exactly what you’re doing!”
“Someone has to get the footage, and she is the only one that can access that house freely. I can’t go there, neither can you,”
“No. I refuse,”
“What’s your other option?”
“I don’t know. But not this. I can’t put Ivy’s life in danger because of my revenge,”
“This is not only about your revenge, it’s also restoring the Holt family legacy,”
“I refuse!”
“Violet…” Ivy slurred, and they all looked at her.
“No, Ivy! I refuse. I won’t put you ur life in danger. There has to be another way,”
“What if we teleport there?” Charles said.
“Teleport?” Mr. Marson repeated.
“Oh… there is this thing gho—“ he was saying but Violet cut in.
“I can’t do that in this body. We’ll get it done once I’m out,”
“But what if you’re unable to come out like last time? Do we have to push you down the escalator?” Charles teased, and she glared at him.
“Jayden will teach me out to come out. It won’t be difficult like last time,” she said.
Mr. Marson and Ivy look at them confused on what they were discussing, and Mr. Marson cleared his throat to get thier attention.
“I have no idea what you two are talking about. But trust me, I can’t ask her to do this if her life will be in the line,”
“The people I trusted betrayed me. And that’s why we are all here now,”
“Among those people, I was one of them. And I believe we are all here because you still have trust in me. Even if it is a tiny winky trust,”
“No. I’m here because I believe you can help not because trust you,”
“You might not want to use the word, but I know you trust me. I also want this revenge as much as you do so let me handle this. Ivy will be safe, trust me,” he said, and Ivy looked at him. He was so be bent on honorific that he barely address her informally.
“I’ll do as Mr. Marson says,” Ivy said.
“What? Ivy? No, you can’t. I won’t let you. Those two are dangerous people, you can’t…”
“I trust Mr. Marson,”
“Ivy…”
“Vee, let’s just go with the flow. Jayden isn’t even here and I hate that ghost guts. Let’s just do this,”
“Violet, please…” Ivy muttered, and they all looked at her.
“Fine, let’s do it,” Violet muttered, and Ivy smiled.
“Miss Holt—“
“Ivy. Mr. Marson I like it when you call me Ivy. We are on the same boat here, so let’s be comfortable around each other. There is nothing to the Holts name now anyways,” Ivy said.
“Ivy…” Violet called.
Mr. Marson smiled and held her hand.
“Let’s do this, Ivy,” he said, and she smiled back.
“Good. So, let’s go. It’s getting stuffy here,” Charles said.
“We can’t go recklessly without a plan,” Violet said.
“So, what’s the plan?” Charles asked, and they all looked at Mr. Marson.
“Miss— Ivy, you go directly to the basement, and I’ll hang around. I’ll text you the folder name, just send every file in that folder to me, no send the folder itself. Once I get it, I’ll join you inside,”
“That’s too risky,” Violet said.
“If it will ease your worries, you can go in with this,” he said, and gave her a bugging device that was on his desk.
“What’s this?” Ivy asked.
“It’s a bug. It can help us trace you if they try to hurt you,”
“You even prepared that? This is too dangerous,” Violet said.
“Let’s get to it,” Ivy said.
“Ivy…”
“Vee, that’s enough. It’s getting late so let’s get this done once and for all,” Charles said.

Ivy arrived at the house trying to act dauntless, and passed by Maxwell who just arrived home and headed straight to the basement.
She was fortunate to find the folder on time and sent it to Mr. Marson immediately before heading out.
She left the house with Mr. Marson and joined Carolyn/Violet and Charles who were waiting for them.
“Ivy. Are you ok? Are you hurt? Did they try to hurt you?” Violet asked worriedly, touching her body.
Seeing Carolyn that way is kinda weird, but she could only be Violet.
“I’m fine, sis,” Ivy said, and embraced her.
She might not admit to herself, but she knew from the start, right after the confession that thier story was nothing but the truth.

They all returned to Mr. Marson’s office to check the folder that contains many files.
“Is it the right folder?” Ivy asked.
“Yes it is. But it has many footage. I’ll take my time to find the date and watch it,”
“That will be…” Violet slurred
“Don’t worry, I can handle this. You can leave now. Thanks a lot for today,”
“Not at all. We should be the ones thanking you,” Violet said.
“I’m doing all these because I want to. Just like you, I also want this revenge,” he said, and they all looked at him.
“Ivy, where are you living now?” Violet asked.
“A hotel. I’m still searching for a suitable apartment close to my school,”
“You don’t need to search for an apartment, you can move in with me. My wife will gladly accommodate you,” Mr. Mason said.
“No. It’s enough that you’re doing this, I don’t want to be a burden to you,” Ivy said.
“Then move in with us. Mr. Feng will always give you a ride to school. My butler,” Charles said.
“What?! No! Never!” Violet shouted.
“What? We won’t even be alone. You’re there. You lived with me too, remember?”
“It’s still a no. I will leave this body anyways and I will be invisible… no, no, no. Never!”
“You all don’t need to worry about me. I’m doing just fine in the hotel and I got a reliable agent, I’ll be able to secure an apartment soon. Funding my account will do,”

“Mr. Marson is right. You aren’t safe at the hotel,” Violet said.
“Just move in with me. The house is guarded, no one can try to harm you there,” Charles said.
“I already protest against that!” Violet snapped.
“My house is the safest choice. And what are you scared of?” he winked. “I’m not interested in innocent girls. They are not my type,” he whispered in her ear, and she knocked his head.
“Ouch…” he winced.
“It’s still a NO!”
“I’ll move in with Mr. Marson, I’ll be safe with him,” Ivy said.
“That’s better,” Violet exclaimed.
“You made the right choice, Ivy,” Mr. Marson said, and she smiled.
“But not the best,” Charles grumbled, rolling is eyes and they all looked at him.

Charles called Mr. Feng later to pick them up, and they left when he arrived leaving Mr. Marson and Ivy.
“Sir, what happened? You never told me you were leaving. How… and… she is back in a human?” Mr. Feng said.
“It’s a long story, Mr. Feng. But here we are now,”
“Don’t tell me you teleported,”
“What if I did?”
“That’s too risky. Don’t forget that…”
“Mr. Feng, enough with the nagging that’s not what you’re being paid for,”
“I’m being paid to keep you safe, and this is me doing my duty,”
“Can I fire you?”
“Sir…”
“I guess I can. Let’s go… I’m not in the mood for this,” he grumbled, matching his feet.
Charles and Violet/Carolyn entered the car and Mr. Feng drove off.
“You can’t even trust me with your sister, so why are we working together?!” Charles lashed.
“My sister isn’t included in this,”
“If I were you, I’ll be more careful myself. Who says I’m interested in your sister?”
“And why should I be careful?”
“Beat me,” he rolled his eyes, and she scoffed.

They arrived home, and alighted from the car.
“I think you were too harsh on Mr. Feng,”Violet said, and Charles looked at her.
“He is getting paid for it,”
“I bet no one wants to be insulted no matter the price. He was just worried about you,”
“He is being too clingy. Just like you. Stay away a little. Five meters away, at least,”
“Whatever,” she rolled her eyes.

They entered the living room and met Jayden there.
“Hi, that was a long meeting,” he waved.
“Hey! Don’t just appear here as you wish,” Charles lashed.
“I can do whatever I want,” Jayden winked.
“So annoying,”
“Are you ready to leave that body?” Jayden asked Violet.
“Yes. How can I? It was so easy for you to leave Maxwell’s body, how do I go about it?”
“Should we do that here?” Jayden asked.
“Where else?” She asked back.
“So when she is out, we will teleport her away. We left her luggage at the rooftop,”Jayden said.
“Then just return there. Don’t stir up trouble for me here. She is a human, who knows how she will counterattack you for possessing her body again,”Charles said.
“You’re right. We shouldn’t get you involved. Let’s go, Vee,” Jayden said, and held Carolyn/Violet’s hand, and together they teleported away.
“Gosh. He is so quick,” Charles grumbled.
“And what “we”? I shouldn’t get involved? Who is he to tell me not to? When did he even became a part of all these? Vee will really need to choose once she is back. That ghosty needs to know his place,”
“Why does he keep on calling her Vee?!” he shouted.

Charles went to his room when he heard a knock on the door, before he could muttered a response Mr. Feng emerged in.
“I didn’t ask you to come in,”
“Are they here? The ghosts,”
“What do you think?”
“They aren’t,”
“Bingo!”
“Sir, I have something to tell you,”
“It can wait till tomorrow. I had a long day and so do you. Mr. Feng… about earlier… this has always been our relationship and I thought we are used to it but I somewhat feel guilty… you’re just doing your job and getting paid for it, but I never take your concern for granted. I know that you’re the only one who truly cares about me, that’s why I won’t stop paying you for it,”
“That’s a really creepy statement after you threaten me with my job,”
“I know. But you can’t even get angry,” he said, and Mr. Feng chuckled.
“Sir, it’s my job to keep you safe and I’ll do that regardless,”
“Oh…that was a tough one. Let’s get over it with a change of topic. You wanted to say something. Just say it now to clear the air,”
“The shaman is back, and they are working on the substance now,”
“What? That shaman? Is it the full moon already?”
“There was a full moon yesterday,”
“Oh… there was. So?”
“It’s my duty to protect you, I’m being paid for it and it’s also the promise I made to the Harrison’s family, so I’ll keep it,”
“What are you getting at?”
“Once the substance arrives, you should use it to scare the ghosts away,”

“I asked them to prepare a talisman for you aswell, I’ll invite the shaman here to scare those ghosts away if need be,”
“Why would you do that? Why would you do what I didn’t ask you to,”
“Because that’s my job. To keep you safe,”
“Vee and I are working on something together. You’re aware of that. I can scare the other away but not her,”
“Why?”he asked v
“Why?”Charles asked back.
“Is that your only reason?”
“What are you talking about?” Charles asked, confused.
“I know you better than anyone, and I have seen you with countless ladies but you look at her differently,”
“What are you talking about? You can’t even see her,”
“She was able to posses a human body that I can see. Don’t get swayed, sir. I don’t want you to get hurt again,”
“You want Violet to leave? Then what?”
“I have already looked into good lawyers that can help you,”
“And Violet?”
“Mr. Marson will help her. I don’t care about your agreement, you made that agreement because the shaman was unreachable. I want you to live a normal life, sir. That’s what I have always wanted,”
“Get out,”
“Sir, I—“
“I said get out!”
“They won’t stop working on the substance. I’ll leave now,” having said that, he left.
Charles made a fist trying to control his anger when he heard a knock on the door.
“I asked you to leave!” he shouted, and the door slugged opened.
He looked at the exit in anger and saw Carolyn there.
“You… you’re still Violet,”
“What do I do, Charles? I was unable to leave,” she whined.
“It doesn’t matter. Either you’re back as a ghost or remain in this body, I’ll never ask you to leave,” he said, and embraced her, taking her off guard.
