Mr. Ethan chuckled staring at his phone screen. He sent an anonymous email to Grace after faking a chat, preteens do send out her story to a journalist. Shaking her up with that was the only Leo by his side. Grace will run to her father for help and he will be out to get Leo, with that he can have Leo by his side, after recusing him from the Packard’s.
The main door suddenly slugs open, and Don walked in.
“Boss, I’ve already gathered some trustworthy boys together,” Don said.
“How many are they?”
“15,”
“Why are they so many?”
“I only reached out to three people, but they informed the others. They are all eloquent to work for you again, they felt indebted for your sacrifices, you took the fall for everyone,”
“So they were all my men?”
“Yes, boss,”
“Where are they?”
“The warehouse in the city,”
“Ok, get the car ready,“
“Yes, boss,”
Mr. Ethan has been staying in his safe house all these while, and he recently purchased a warehouse in the city to be his secret hideout. The treasure saved up in the safe house was enough for him to fight his enemies, and also stand to his feet again, but he decide to stay low for the time being, till everything is over because he had no intention to doing anything bug revenge with the money, and give the rest to his granddaughter.

Mr. Ethan and Don arrived at the warehouse, and all the men assembled to greet him.
“I thought you said they were 15?” Mr. Ethan asked, looking at the bunch of men.
“What happened? They were just 15 when I left,” Don said.
“Boss, others heard about it, and joined us. Now, we are about 22, and the news hasn’t reached more people,” Stone, one of the men said.
“It shouldn’t. We don’t need too much people. So this will do,” Mr. Ethan said.
“Boss, I hope we aren’t late?” They heard Simeon said from behind, and turned to see 4 men.
“Gosh, do something about this Don,” with that Mr. Ethan went in.

Don joined Mr. Ethan later, and Mr. Ethan glare at him.
“I told you we need to work discreetly so what’s all that about?”
“Boss, I only reached out to Stone, Marvin, and Ken. I don’t know how it reached the others, and I don’t know how to get rid of them either. I should have know, Ken has a bigmouth,”
“Concerning Leo, our target to get the Packard’s, you should start tailing him. I want you to do it yourself, the Packard’s are probably out to get him now, so this is our chance. Put your life in the line to protect him and bring him to our side,”
“Yes, boss,”
“If you fail, never let me find you,”
“I’ll get it done, boss,”
“You better! I want you to send some trusted men to guard Charlotte and also my granddaughter,”
“You didn’t tell me where miss Charlotte was,”
“I would give you the address. I want you to send 2 trusted men to guard her,”
“Sir, is your granddaughter with her?”
“No! And you can’t show yourself to my granddaughter, never! Send two men to guard her discreetly, and get it done nicely otherwise… you will pay for the consequences of any mistake,”
“I’ll ensure it’s properly handled, hoss,”

Mifheal took Paulina to his suite to have lunch later, and met just Stanley there.
“Where is Austin?” Mifheal asked.
“That dude seems to be in a secret relationship with his new girl, he is being so discreet with her which is unlike him,”
“Who could she be?” Mifheal asked.
“Should we wait for him to split it, or we should find out ourselves,”
“Let’s save our curiosity, he won’t last 12 hours,” Micheal said, and Stanley laughed.
“Lina, are you ok?” Stanley asked, and she nodded.

Ava went ro the cafeteria with her friends, and they saw Rae eating with her other friends.
“Look at that looser,” Lia teased.
“I’ve been so bored lately, why don’t we have some fun?” Ava muttered smirking evilly, and Lia giggled.
“Are you going to bully Rae?” Alicia asked worriedly.
“What’s wrong with you? She isn’t out friend anymore, so you shouldn’t be worried about her. She left the circle first!” Lia snapped.
“Do you wanna join her?” Ava blurted, and Alicia shook her head in fear.
Lia glared at Alicia, giving her a warning look, and they all went to Rae.
“See who found new buddies,” loa teased, and Rae exhaled heavily before glaring at them.
“I believe the sky is wide enough for every birds to fly, and we can all do that without bumping into each other,” Rae blurted, and they scoffed.
“True, but we aren’t brurds. And even if we are, I’m the queen of the birds, I can fly to wherever pleases me,” Ava teased.
“And I’m the emperor ode the birds, too decide to fly down here,” they heard Austin said approaching them and Everton around gasped expect Ava and her friends.
Austin joined them swinging his arms in the sky and Ava hissed, irritatedly.
“I see you decide to fly without your kingpin,” Ava blurted.
“When do you start interfering to our business, Austin? Why don’t you keep walking, Mike is obviously looking for you!” Lia said.
“Nah… Ava’s point hit better,” he teased, and Lia scoffed while Alicia chuckled softly.
“What do you want?!” Ava snapped.
“I’ve no business with you, the sky is wide enough for every bride to fly, even the queen shouldn’t trespass,” he teased, and the students around chuckled.
“You are a d¥mba$$ if you think that’s funny,” Ava said
“Then you aren’t a queen of you thought I was cracking jokes,”
“Enough of the nonsense, Austin, and keep walking,” Lia blurted.
“I told you your lines are lame, must I shout it out loud for you to get…” he teased, and the students chuckled.
“This is so not it!” Rae muttered and intend to leave but Austin held her back.
“This way, my lady…” he said winking at her, and she scoffed before following him.
“Wait! Did she just left with Austin?” Lia gasped.
“As it appears,” Alicia muttered.
“Let’s go, girls,” Ava said.
“What an embarrassment,” Alicia grumbled, and Lia glared at her.

Rae freed herself from Austin’s grip, and glared at him.
“What?” He grumbled.
“Why did you intervene?” She snapped.
“Ava was going to bully you, if that’s your way of saying thank you, then you welcome,”
“I told you to stop interfering, I told you to always mind your own business,”
“But why do I feel like you are now my business?”
“Because you’re nut!” She blurted, and he dragged her back.
“You ask me to mind my own business, but that’s not how it works, Rae. I might be careless when I’m drunk, but I don’t take a girl to my bed for no reason,” he said, and she glared at him.

Austin was having fun at the club with his friend, when he heard a commotion in the dance floor. The figure looked familiar from afar, so he went closer and confirmed that it’s Rae being harassed by a man.
“Hi, babe, what’s going on?” Austin asked, placing his hands around her shoulder.
Rae glared at him, and he winked at her while the guy looked at him.
“Who are you?”
“Her boyfriend!” He blurted, and the guy left.
“What’s that for?” Rae blurted, glaring at him.
“If that’s your way of saying thank you, then forget it. Remember that you owe me one,”
“I hate being indebted. You shouldn’t have interfered,”
“Then have a drink with me. A dance will also do,” he said winking at her, and she gave in.
They both drank and dance all night together, and ended up sleeping together.

Rae exhaled heavily and glared at Austin who smiled.
“I thought we agreed on letting it pass. I was drunk, you were drunk and we merely had fun,”
“Yeah, I agreed to let it pass, but I changed my mind,”
“What do you want from me?”
“Let’s be buddies,”
“You must have lost it,”
“You got good grades, let’s be study buddies. Help me prepare for the mid semester exam, and I won’t bother you anymore,”
“Do I look like a private teacher?”
“I gave it all a thought before coming to that conclusion,”
“When do you start worrying about grades?”
“I’ve something to lose,”
“Then get a private tutor,”
“That stuff never helped me. I prefer studying with friends than a tutor,”
“Stanley got better grades,”
“He is a genius, we don’t see eye-to-eye while studying,”
“I’ll pass,”
“Then how about I tell my friends what happened between us. I’m sure Lia would also enjoy the conversation,”
“You do no such,”
“The ball is in your court,” with that, he winked at her and left.

LOUIS’S HOUSE^^^

Charlotte has been trying so hard to recover the memory of the accident, but it proves abortive so Louis made an appointment with a neuropsychologist for her. In as much as he doesn’t want her to pass through that pain to recover the memory, she was impatient.

They left home together, and visited the neuropsychologist professor who welcomed them warmly.

The doctor made her lie down in a comfortable position, as he begin the process.
“Take a deep breath in, and try to remember what happened that rainy day,” he said, and she closed her eyes tightly trying to remember what happened that day.

Charlotte stayed back at the market ignoring the cloudy weather after the debt collector left with her bracelet. She has always cherished the bracelet, considering it being the only thing her mother left her
She stayed back for few minutes, when the rain started pouring, and she hurriedly pack the few things she left hoping to catch the bus. On her way to the bus station, a car pulled up in front of her.
“Hi, madam. I’ll take you to your destination,”
“Thank you, I’m good,” she said, and intend to leave but he was too persistent.
She almost called out for help when someone dragged her into the car from behind.
“You should’ve just entered while I was being nice,”
“Who are you and what do you want from me?” She cried.
“So many things,” he sneered.
He drove along the road, and she shout out for help but it was to no avail, she didn’t know what came over her when she pulled the steering and started controlling the car with him.
“Are you insane? Do you want to get us kllled?” The man shouted.
“Then stop the car!” She shouted, but before she could release the steering, he lost control of the car, leading to an accident in the road.

Charlotte’s eyes shut open immediately, and she started breathing heavily.
“Charlotte, are you ok?” Louis asked bursting to where she was.
“Louis…” she cried, and he embraced her.
“It’s ok, Charlotte, you’re safe now,” he assured patting her back.
“I remember everything now, Louis, I remember,” she muttered in a sober voice.

Ms. Bella called them later to inform them of the presence of some thugs with claimed to be sent by Mr. Ethan, and they had to leave the hospital, wondering what Mr. Ethan was up to.

Micheal couldn’t stop thinking about Ava’s threat do Paulina. In as much as he tried to convince himself that she couldn’t do it, but he was still frightened because Ava can be unpredictable.
Hw left the class immediately when school dismissed, and gestured his friends not to wait for him.
He went yo Ava’s class and saw her about to leave as well.
“I thought the only feeling you’ve left for me was disgust, so why are you here?”
“Can I’ve a word?”
“You just said 5 words,”
“Come with me,” he said, and dragged her to the staircase.
“What do you want?” She snapped, forcefully freeing herself from him.
“Why did you threaten Lina?”
“What do you care? You already accepted the engagement, so are you two timing now?”
“I already accepted the engagement, so leave Lina alone,”
“Do you think I’m doing all these because of you? Don’t be too fo0l of yourself, Mike. You are the one interfering here. Do you think I’m fighting over you? You wish!”
“I don’t care about your reasons. Leave Lina alone,”
“Lina and I have our own score to settle, you’re just entangled in it,”
“If you don’t stop, I’ll break off the engagement,”he said, and she laughed.
“No, I’m the one pulling the strings, you’re the one who need the engagement, I’m the one you can break it off. Why? Because I make the rules!”
“What do you really have against me?”
“I don’t associate with piece of trash, but I choose you because you’re gonna crawl to my feet,”
“Is that your plan?”
“Do you think I accepted the engagement because I still have feelings for you or whatever?” She blurred, and Micheal made a fist.
“You think you can step on me just because you know a little secret, but you lie. Do your worst, I’m breaking off the engagement. I’ll prove to you that I don’t need you, neither will I crawl to your feet,” with that he left, and she smirked.
“All you can do is talk, Mike. You will still return to me,” she muttered, before leaving.
