LIA’S HOUSE ***
*
The house was already decorated for the party, and guests started to arrive – supreme class students from Holland high, and also teenagers from other schools fit in same status as any student in Holland high supreme class.
Ava looked around awaiting Paulina’s arrival. They all went to the salon together to get their hair done and also went shopping after school, but she instructed the driver to take Paulina home while she left with Lia to prepare for the outstanding party.
“Still as beautiful as ever, Ava.” She heard someone said from behind irritating her, and she turned around to see Spencer McGraw, popularly known as prince.
.
Spencer McGraw is the only son of the youngest Billionaire chairman in California, his parents got married when they were teenagers, and had him early. Rumors had it that he would also be arranged with a lady to get married before he finish high school. He got his nickname ‘Prince’ when he was in middle school, he formed a group with his friends known as prince and the clowns.
.
“When you glare like that, I get scared.” He whined, and she scoffed. “It’s nice to have you back, Ava. I heard you dump Mike. That guy deserves it, he is too full of himself.”
“Keep walking.” She blurted.
“No, I take it back. You are perfect for each other.”
“Prince, I’m glad to have you here.” Lia said, and went to embrace him.
“I rather miss my flight than miss your party.” He said, and pecked her lips before he continued on his way.
“Gosh! Isn’t Prince so hot?” Lia said touching her red cheeks before looking at Ava. “I saw you two talking earlier. I think he is still I nterested in you. Now that you are back, you should give him a shot, you already broke up with Mike, nothing is stopping you. Gotta have some fun.”
“Don’t mention that name around me.” Ava blurted.
“Sorry, my bad. But Prince is actually a nice guy.” Lia said.
“I rather become a nun than date that clown.”
“Nope. He is the prince and they are the clowns.” Lia giggled.
“So tacky.” Ava muttered.
“I consider it cute.”
“Focus, Lia. This isn’t just a party, and the host is yet to arrive.”
“That’s true. But what if she doesn’t come?”
“She knows better.” Ava said with a smirk, and Lia giggled.
*
The MASS arrived at the party, and everyone started drooling over them. They exchanged greetings with few of their friends, and Prince smirked upon seeing them.
“Look who is here.” Prince said, and they all shook hands.
“I know the head of the clowns never missed a party.” Austin teased.
“You always love to have last word Austin, when you merely get attention because of Micheal. Does your father still worry about your attendance?” Prince mocked and Austin got angry.
Austin wanted to throw a fist, but Stanley held him back.
“That’s rich coming from you, Prince. See ya at the next basketball tournament, that’s if you make it that far.” Michael said, and patted Prince back.
“I got better things to do.” Prince shouted.
“We know. Let’s enjoy the party.” Stanley teased and they all continued on their way.
“That Prince guy is always getting on my nerve. He is worse than Roy.” Austin complained.
“You shouldn’t have called him a clown. That got him.” Stanley said.
“But that’s what he is. Why does he have a tacky name? Prince and the clown. It sounded like a fairytale story title.” Austin said, and they all laughed.
“Look who we have here. Micheal, Austin, Stanley, and Steven. To whom do I owe this pleasure?” Lia said.
“To the beautiful party you threw. You know we love parties, I, to be precise.” Austin said, and winked at her.
“But I didn’t personally invite you guys.” She said.
“That doesn’t mean we can’t be here.” Stanley said.
“Well… if you say so, I hope you enjoy the party.” She said, and turned to leave.
“Lia, I love parties with less drama.” Micheal said, and she looked at him.
“Pardon? You are supposed to relax at a party. And drama helps us relax, don’t you agree?”
“You guys shouldn’t be here, you aren’t even invited.” Ava said, joining them.
“Why? We also want to relax. Don’t you agree with me, Lia?” Austin said and winked at Lia who giggled.
“Why can’t we be here? Am I making you feel uncomfortable?” Micheal asked, walking closer to her.
“H£ll, NO. I believe you meant it the other way round. I dumped you, Mike. I was the one who breakup with you, so why should I be uncomfortable? Seeing you just disgust me. I hate seeing trash that I’ve dumped!” She blurted, and their eyes widen.
“Ava… come on, let’s enjoy the party.” Lia said, and held her hand but she pulled away vigorously.
“Then you shouldn’t have returned. Not to my school at least, because you will keep seeing me around.” With that he continued on his way, and the others followed.
“Babe, that was harsh.” Lia said, and Ava glared at her.
“Why did you let them in?” She blurted.
“It can be my house, but we both know I can’t stop them. Why did you guys even broke up?”
“I dumped him, so mind your speech.”
“Why? Dumping the perfect Mike… what could be your reason?”
“Perfect, Mike. Indeed” She muttered with a smirk. “Let’s focus on our host, she will arrive soon.” She added, and left.
*
The MASS sat down and Mike didn’t let go of his bottle of wine.
“You gotta relax, buddy. Getting drunk before the party is no fun.” Austin said.
“Do you think anything fun would happen in this party? That Ava is so fo0l of herself.” Stanley said, and stood up.
“Not you again, man. Just leave her be. She was right, she broke up with Mike. He got dumped, and he was heartbroken. He couldn’t even move on, he still hasn’t move on. That’s why he is sulking now.” Austin blurted.
“That’s harsh, man.” Stanley said.
“Spare me that. What’s so special about her? Thousands of girls formed a long queue to be with you, so why sulk over her?” Austin blurted.
“Austin, not here.” Stanley cautioned.
“She called me trash. That wasn’t her first time. She also broke up with me because I was a piece of trash.” Micheal muttered, and they both looked at him.
*
FLASHBACK to a years ago***
*
Micheal sat in a glamorous garden that is decorated for his date with Ava. He arrived few minutes earlier before their scheduled time to ensure that everything was ready. Ava complains a lo and easily gets angry so he had to make sure that the venue would be to her liking.
He waited for close to an hour before she arrived which is unlike her, but he managed to welcome her with a smile, and gave her the bunch of followers he got for her.
“You’re late.” He said, and she threw the flowers back at him.
“Let’s end it, Mike.” She blurted.
“What? You love receiving flowers whenever we are on a date. You got angry the last time because I didn’t get one, do you suddenly loathe it?”
“Not the flowers, but this. I suddenly loathe piece of trash like you.” With that she left, leaving him broken.
*
*
FLASHBACK ENDS***
*
Austin held Micheal’s hand to stop him from drinking, while Stanley summoned an attendant to clear their table.
“She said I was a piece of trash back then, and even now.” He cried, and Austin patted his back.
“Gosh, what’s this? We shouldn’t have come here. Let’s get him out of here.” Stanley said.
“Not when that clown has seen us. Everyone will gossip.” Austin protest.
“But we can’t leave him this way. Mike doesn’t know how to hold his liquor. Look at him, he is already wasted.” Stanley said.
“I know my way around this house, I’ll help him him to the guest room and you will divert others attention from us. Let’s go Steve.” Austin said.
*
They entered the guest room and was startled to see someone inside, the person they least expect – a scholarship student.
“What are you doing here?” Austin shouted, and pushed Mike to the bed.
“I… I…”. The boy shuddered.
“Get lost, get out. How did he managed to sneak in here?” Austin shouted, and the boy ran out in fear. “He would be fine, he just needs to sleep and sober up, let’s return once the party is over.” He added, and Steven nodded.
*
Paulina arrived at the party and looked around at lost. She contemplated several times either to attend the party or not when a maid came to remind her about the party – obviously, Ava instructed the maid to pester her.
The thoughts of what might await her at the party was scary, but getting on Ava’s bad side was even scarier, so she made up her mind to attend the party with intention to face whatever.
.
“Oh, it’s Lili.” Rae said when she saw her, and she managed to smile.
“Hi.” She waved, and Rae forced a smile.
“Come with me, the girls are waiting.” Rae said and dragged her before she could protest.
“Lili is here.” Lia said when she saw her, and Ava smirked.
“Oh, my. Such a beauty. Lia, do you mind to introduce her?” A boy said winking at Lia, and Lia glared at him.
“Get lost, Sage.” She said and went to Paulina.
“What took you so long? We thought you won’t make it.” Alicia said, patting Paulina’s hair.
“Have a drink, so the fun would begin.” Ava said, and gave her a glass of wine but she rejected it.
“I’m good with a glass of soda, I don’t take alcohol.” Paulina said.
“What? That’s gross. You should never say that elsewhere. Come on, have a drink and thank me later.” Alicia said.
“I’ll pass.”
“My hand is still hanging, I don’t take no.” Ava said glaring at her.
“I don’t believe anyone still takes soda at a party. Yuck.” Rae teased.
“Let me help you learn to drink.” Lia said and collected the glass of wine from Ava.
“I’m sorry, I can’t.” Paulina muttered.
“Hi guys, can I get your attention?” Lia shouted, and everyone attention drawn to her. “Guys, I apologize for interrupting your fun, but we have all night to have fun.” She said, and majority cheered. “You have all came out of your way as usual to attend my party. So let’s dive to the purpose of today’s party even though we don’t need a reason ti have fun.” She said, and giggled. “ Let’s all jam our hands together to welcome back my best friend, Ava.” She said, and everyone clapped.
“What are you doing?” Ava grumbled.
“And there is also someone among us that I’m sure many of us are curious about. Paulina Andrew, a new school mate and friend of mine. She is new in California, I guess… but let’s jam our hands together to cheer her as I present to her a glass of wine to welcome her to our realm.” She said, and everyone cheered. “Have a glass, Lili, you don’t wanna refuse it.” She said, and Paulina hesitated before collecting the glass of wine, and they all chuckled.
“Come on, drink up.” Rae shouted.
“Drink up, drink up.” Alicia and Rae shouted, and majority chorused it until she emptied the glass.
“Who else wanna pour her a friendly drink?” Lia asked, and everyone looked at her.
The boy from earlier went out. “Hi, I’m Sage Greenwood.” He said, and poured her a glass. “It’s nice meeting you.”
“Yeah, same.” She replied, and her hands started trembling.
“If you mean it, then drink up.” He muttered, and she looked at his smiley face.
“What’s this about?” Stanley muttered.
“Probably a new ritual. Too bad Mike missed this.” Austin said, and emptied his glass of wine.
“Those sneaky girls are obviously trying to get her drunk. I’m sure they are up to no good.” Stanley said.
“If that will help us kick her out of our school, then I’ll gladly go out to pour her a drink.” Austin said, and Stanley scoffed.
“You do no such. We shouldn’t be involved in their sneaky game.” Stanley said.
“Is that the fifth glass now?” Austin said, counting how many people went out to offer her a drink.
“I’m dying to see their plan.” Stanley said, and Austin’s eyes brightened.
“I’m equally curious, I hope it brighten this dull party.” Austin said.
“Yeah… the party isn’t fun without Mike. Ouch… why does he have to get wasted before the party starts?” Stanley whined, and Austin emptied Stanley’s glass of wine.
“There comes, Dalia. I think I’m starting to enjoy the party. Catch you later.” With that he left.
“Don’t forget she is taken, and you are taken too.” Stanley shouted after him, and make a toast with Steven before letting out a sigh. “Arghh… so boring.” He grumbled.
*
A few people offered Paulina a glass of wine until she couldn’t withstand it anymore and got completely drunk.
She danced around with Lia and her friends, and Ava chuckled watching her act carelessly until they led her to the poolside.
“Back at home, I always go fishing with mum. I catch the biggest fish that she refused to sell when I was seven.” She said, and Rae laughed sarcastically.
“Wanna go catch some fish?” Lia asked, and pushed her in the pool.
“Arggh…” Everyone around shouted.
“Lina!” Sage shouted, and intend to jump in the pool but Alicia held him back.
“I’m sure she will be fine, she is good at swimming.” She assured, and Paulina swam out to their surprise coughing slightly.
“Lina, are you ok?” Sage shouted aiming at her, but Ava pushed him away.
“I’m sure she isn’t. She is drained, and needs to get changed.”
“I couldn’t get any fishes.” Paulina whined.
“Sober up, girl. You need to go get changed.” Lia said, and lead her away followed by Alicia and Rae.
*
They helped her in and pushed her inside the guest room before shutting the door from behind.
“Do you think Jayden is still there?” Rae asked, and Lia chuckled.
“He knows better than defying Ava’s orders. The real game is about to begin. The camera is already set inside, and Jayden knows what to do so let’s go.” Lia said.
“I think Sage likes that bltch.” Alicia grumbled.
“Who cares?” Lia and Rae shouted.
“I do.” Alicia fired back, and left in anger.
“What has gotten into her?” Rae asked, and Lia rolled her eyes.
“There are clothes there for you to get changed to. Wash up and have fun.” With that they left ignoring Paulina who didn’t stop barging the door.
*
Paulina sober up after they left and started looking around for the clothes. She opened the wardrobe and saw a pyjama there so she assumed that was the clothe before going to the bathroom to wash up and was startled to see someone there – Mike.
“Arghh…”. She screamed, and the pyjama fall off her hand before she ran out.
She twisted the doorknob to go out but was shocked to realize that it was locked and Mike came out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his waist.
“What’s are you doing? Sneaking on people who take their bath?” He muttered counting few steps close to her, and she froze on her feet trying to open the door until he gets very close to her with barely few inches gap between them.
“I… I…”. She shuddered, and he pushed her aside trying to open the door.
“Who locked it?” He shouted.
“I… I…”. She shuddered.
“Will you stop stammering and answer me?!” He shouted.
“I don’t know. Lia brought me here to get changed, I don’t know, I don’t know who locked it.” She said in fear, and he let out a sigh.
“I don’t know what game they are trying to pull off with you. .. Shiite!” He shouted when he went to take his phone and realized it was out of charge. “Are you with your phone?” He asked, and she shook her head. “Then how are supposed to get of here?” He shouted barging the door. Although he knows that the loud music playing outside won’t let anyone hear their cry for help.
**
**
Lia and Alicia went to join Ava who was standing by the poolside.
“It’s done, babe. She is locked up with Jayden in that room. I increased the music volume, so no one can hear her cry for help.” Lia said.
“What if someone goes here?” Ava asked.
“Relax, sweetie. I already detailed securities to ensure no one goes there, at least until we get this done with.”
“Don’t worry, Ava. The camera is there, we just have to wait for Jayden to get it done so we can secure a footage that will be to our advantage.” Rae said, and Ava smirked.
“This is the end, Paulina. By the time your s£x tape is all over the internet, mum will surely get rid of you so you won’t jeopardize her election.” Ava thought, and emptied her glass of wine.
