The kids continue their usual routine, chatting regularly with Louis on the phone until they lost contact with him.

Charlotte also reduced her communication with the other kids when they went to different high schools and her study schedule became even more tighter until she lost contact with them completely.

She moved on eventually, she graduated from high school and went to college, there she coincidentally met them again.

She went to club with her closest friend in college, Sally, they both drank to their satisfaction and went to the dance floor when Jerry, an infamous cult member approached her for a dance.

“No, I’ll pass.” She muttered, and intend to leave but he dragged her back.

“Hey! I don’t take no.” He blurted tighten his grip on her and she tried to free herself from him.

“Let me go.” She shouted.

“Not too loud!” He uproar, and squeezed her face with his other hand.

“She asked you to let her go.” She heard a voice from behind.

She turned around wondering who dares to stand up against Jerry , and behold… he was her childhood friend Paul. She gasped in fear because she knew they were screwed – Paul has always been a bad fighter since he was a child.

LIA’S PARTY***
*
Micheal woke up and sobered up immediately. He decide to wash off the sweat away before he goes out so he went to shower with intention to ask Austin to get him fresh clothes when Paulina showed up out of the blues.
*
Paulina stood by a corner looking at Micheal who didn’t stop glaring at her.

“We’re stuck in here!” He screamed and she flinched in fear. “Are you with your charger?” He asked later, and she shook her head.

He went to sit on the bed and she looked away from him immediately.

“Who are you?” He asked, and she looked at him.

“I.. I… I’m…”. She shuddered.

“I know. I don’t give a f¥ck about your name. Why is Ava so pissed off with you? I know her family granted you a special scholarship, but she shouldn’t go wild over that.” He said, and she looked at him. “I don’t know what you heard about me, but they’re all true. I don’t associate with the likes of you, and I don’t bite either. We are both stuck in here, so we only have each other now.” He said, and smirked.

Paulina looked at him wondering why he was trying to start a conversation with her.

“Do you’ve a plan? Or are we just going to stare at each other ?”

“I don’t know why they locked me up here. I was supposed to come here to change after getting drained.” She said, and he looked at her.

“You’re cold.” He muttered, and she shook her head. “Cover yourself with that.” He said, and threw a blanket at her.

“You also need to cover yourself.” She managed to say.

“Why? Am I making you feel uncomfortable?” He teased and she shook her head. “You’ve already seen everything, so what’s there to be uncomfortable about?”

“I didn’t see anything.” She shouted.

“So why did you screamed?” He asked walking closer to her.

“I… I..”. She shuddered in fear.

“I asked you to cover yourself.” He muttered, and covered her with the blanket. “Why do I feel like there is more to why Ava disgust you? On a norms, she should have exposed your admission status to the entire school so you can get bullied and be forced to transfer. But since she chose to play sneaky, she is scared of something. What’s between the both of you ?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“I know. She h@tes me too, and I’m too ashamed to share her reasons with anyone. So I can understand you.” He said, and she looked at him. “Nah… not that. I’m not in the same shoes as you.”

“Aren’t you going to get dressed? Anyone could come in.”

“Oh… are you scared of something? You should feel privileged to be locked up with me.“

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” She blurted, and stood up.

“That’s the energy, girl. You were sulking earlier like I locked us up in here. I’ve a reputation to uphold you know. “

“I didn’t want to get stuck here with you either.” She blurted.

“Wow! You’re more aggressive than I could imagine. But, you should be thankful that you are in here with me.” He said, and pointed at the camera.

“What? What’s that?”

“Something that could put you in your place and that place is likely out of this world.” He said confusing her.

She went closer to it and realized that it was a camera.
“Spy cam?” She shouted, and he nodded.

“You’re quick. I believe someone else was supposed to be here, an hungry man who is awaiting his prey but too bad… Austin must’ve chased him out when he brought me here. Good for you, but not for me.” He said, and her heart sank. She didn’t even hear anything he said, but the implication of whatever they planned to do to her scared her a lot.

“What…”. She shuddered.

“Come on, I’m getting hot. I could as well continue the game. I’m a a man too you know.” He teased, and she started to shiver in fear.

She counted few steps away from him, but each step she count backward he took forward until she missed her step and fell on the bed, and he bend low to her.

“Are you really trying to run away from me, or you are granting me access?” He teased, and she kicked his nose sending him straight to the floor. “Arggh… you motherf¥cker.” He cursed, and she ran to the door trying to break the knob. “Don’t forget that we are both stuck in here!” He threaten aiming at her.

“No, please. Help, somebody help.” She shouted barging the door but it was to no avail.

Sage looked around the party for Paulina wondering what’s taking her so long to get changed when Alicia walked up to him.

“Hi Sage, do you wanna dance?” She asked seductively.

“Where is Lina? I thought you said she went to change?”

“Yeah… we said so. But I saw leaving with a guy, she probably picked up someone in the party. Let her have some breathing space, Sage.” She said, patting his shoulder, but he snooze her hand away.

“She doesn’t seem like that kind of girl.” He muttered, and emptied his glass of wine.

“You don’t even know her, Sage. You only poured her a drink, and exchanged few chats, so stop acting like you know everything about her.” She blurted.

“Why are you getting angry?” He fired back.

“Because you are being deceived by her. We’ve been classmates since kindergarten but you never acted like I existed, but you are acting like you knew her all your life.”

“What’s that supposed to mean? We might’ve been classmates since God knows when so what does that have to do with this?”

“Do you wanna bet on your instinct?”

“I don’t follow.”

“Paulina is not who you think she is. Your instinct bet that she is decent, but I say otherwise.”

“Are we really doing this?” He asked with a smirk.

“Do you wanna chicken out? Starting to doubt your instincts?”

“What’s the deal?”

“If I’m right, you will go on a date with me.” She said, and he chuckled.

“And if you are wrong?”

“Well… I doubt if that will happen.”

“But if that’s the case.”

“Then propose whatever you want.” She shouted.

He chuckled before whispering some words in her ears and her eyes widen.

“What?” She shouted, and pushed him away.

“We made a deal. See ya.” With that he left, and she glared at him till he was out of sight.

“Let’s see who gets the benefits of the bet, Sage. You are mine, and that piece of trash will find her place in the garbage.” She muttered, and smirked evilly.

“Why are you hovering around that Sage guy?” Rae asked joining her.

“I wasn’t. We’re friends since kindergarten.”

“Spare me that. Dating that boy after breaking up with Liam is a disaster.” Rae blurted.

“What’s wrong with Sage? And besides, I didn’t actually date Liam, we broke up after two days because you all forced me to it.” She blurted, and left angrily while Rae scoffed in disbelief.

Micheal pushed Paulina away from the doorway and tried to break the doorknob but it was to no avail.
He hit the door vigorously in anger then started hitting the wall while Paulina contemplated before going to hold his hand.

His eyes already turned red in anger, but as she hold his hand he managed to relax.

“You are hurting yourself, Mikey. I’m sure your fiends will come to get you.” She assured and he looked at her.

“Mikey?” He repeated.

“Oh… I’m sorry, I mean Micheal.” She said, and dropped his hand.

“No, no. Repeat it again. I like the way you call me Mikey.” He said, and she looked at him confused.

“What?” She muttered.

“I want you to repeat what you called me earlier.”

“Mikey?” She a managed to say.

“Yes, Mikey.”

“Oh! My childhood friend was Micheal, but I usually call him Mikey. I fondly remembered him when I was about to call you. I’m sorry about that just incase it annoys you.” She said rushing her words in fear.

“I know.” He muttered, and she looked at him.

“You know what?” She asked, and he looked away before composing himself.

“I know you would find excuses. Who are you to compare me with your childhood friend? Do you know who I’m?” He blurted, and she flinched in fear.

“I’m… sorry.” She muttered.

“Gosh! I need fresh clothes.” He shouted, and she looked at the clothes he dropped on the bed. “What? Do you expect me to wear that back?” He lashed, and she flinched in fear.

“NO!” She uproar startling him.

“Do you have to raise your voice to say that?” He asked in confusion, and she nervously blinked her lashes.

“I know I don’t have to shout, but did you pee on your pants?”

“What?”

“If no, why can’t you wear them again? Did you left gross on it?”

“Of course not. I don’t wear back what I take off. I’m that sophisticated, so don’t ever compare me with your childhood friend again.” He blurted, and went to sit.

“Oh… so you rather walk n@ked than wear back what you took off? I see… you are indeed different from my childhood friend.” She said, rolling her eyes.

“What did you say? Do you really want me to be n@ked? I don’t mind, it’s just the both of us, and you’ve seen everything anyways.” He said, and her eyes widened.

She looked away immediately, and covered her face with her hands.
“Of course not. I don’t mean it that way. You look better on that towel.” She said, and he chuckled.

“So, what do you advise?” He teased.

“Just go away.” She muttered, and he held her hand.

She looked at him in fear, and her face met his bare chest. Her eyes widened in bewilderment and she started checking out his masculine body. They have been there for close to an hour or more, but she didn’t even give him a second glance.

“Don’t get carried away, you aren’t my type.” He teased, and she pushed him away.

“Hey, watch it!” He shouted, and she stood up immediately.

“Just go back to sit.” She blurted.

“Who are you to tell me what to do?” He shouted, aiming at her.

Ava left the party and went to Lia’s room to pick something. She has never been that bored or pissed at a party before. Nothing seems fun and others won’t stop pestering her. She just wants the party to be over so she could get Paulina out of her life for good. On her way back, she decide to pass by the guest room to get a hint of what’s going on because she is restless for some reason.

She stood by the doorway to the guest room and heard voices from inside.

“What? Why does that voice sounds familiar?” She thought, and wanted to open the door, but she changed her mind and went to the girls instead.

She dragged Lia away from her company, and Lia glared at her angrily.

“Hey, what’s that about?” Lia shouted.

“Are you sure you locked that bltch up with that peasant?”

“Of course!”

“So why was I hearing Mike’s voice from inside?”

“What? That’s not possible. I detailed securities there so Mike can’t go in.”

“Seriously? You even stupidly left the key by the knob.”

“Girls, what’s wrong?” Rae asked joining them.

“We would have gotten the tape we want, so go check the video. Rae and I will open the door.” Ava said.

“But that’s not the plan.”

“I set the plan, and I changed it. Any objections?” She blurted, and Lia flinched in fear.

“Do as you like, I’m still enjoying my party.” Lia blurted and intend to leave but Ava dragged her back.

“You will go check it now, right?” She asked, and Lia forcefully freed herself.

“Fine! The footage is in laptop, I’ll go check it.” She shouted, and left.

“Let’s go, Rae.” Ava said, and Rae quietly trailed behind her.

Austin joined Stanley and Steven who were in company of a friend, and they all excused themselves from their company.

“Mike should have sober up by now. I was trying to reach him, but his line was out of reach.” Austin said.

“That wasted man could still be sleeping. We should go wake him. The party is about to end.” Stanley said.

“Yeah, let’s go. I wonder how he could sleep for that long.” Austin said, and Stanley chuckled.
*
They got to the corridor that leads to the guest room but the securities blocked their path.

“Buzz off, man. Who do you think you are denying access?” Austin shouted.

“We are sorry, sir. But we were given instructions not to let anyone through.”

“So are you anyone? Do you want to lose your job?” Austin shouted, and Stanley patted his shoulder.

“We will be quick. Our friend is in the guest room. Will you let us through now, or we should continue explaining?” Stanley asked, and the men flinched.

The men whispered words to themselves before paving way.

“Please, be quick.” One of them said, and Austin hit him before passing.

“Thanks, man.” Stanley said.

“The nerve of them.” Austin blurted.

“You don’t have to exchange words with people likes of them, man. Let’s just get Mike and leave.” Stanley said.

“They really pissed me off.” Austin said, and Stanley laughed. “Hey, what’s funny?”

“The door.” Stanley said.

“The door is funny?” Austin lashed.

“Why is it locked?” Stanley asked, and Austin’s eyes widened.

“What? Steve. It was opened when we came here earlier, and we even left it open, right?” Austin said, and Steven nodded.

Stanley rushed to the door and opened it immediately, thankfully the key was in the knob.

They opened the door wide and their eyes widen in shock to see Michael lying flat on Paulina.

“What?” They shouted.

“It’s not what you think.” Micheal said, and wanted to get up. His towel almost fall in the process, but Paulina was quick to hold it.

“What the…”. Austin and Stanley almost shout.

“What are you doing here?” Ava asked.

She and Rae joined them, and they were both left in shock.
