Paul took Charlotte to his house, and Grace went downstairs to join them.

“Charlotte, I thought you left first.” Grace said.

“Grace, read the room.” Paul said, and Grace gave him a look.

“What?” She whispered, and Paul let out a sigh.

“I’ll go get you a cup of coffee.” Paul said, and dragged Grace away.

Charlotte was staring into space when Paul returned with the cup of coffee.

“Thank you.” Charlotte muttered, and slipped a little for the coffee.

“Don’t mention it. You should stay here till yo..-“ Paul was saying, but Grace cut in.

“…- Charlotte, you should come stay with me. Paul told me everything, I’m really sorry about it.” Grace said.

“Grace, but you said your pipe broke.” Paul said.

“I already got it fixed.”

“Wow. It’s so fast this time, it took close to two weeks the last time.” He said.

“Yeah, my friend engineer is so fast. It must’ve be really hard on you.” Grace said, and went to embrace Charlotte who began to cry again.
*
Paul gave them a ride to Grace’s house later in the afternoon, and he stayed back till it’s late before he started preparing to leave.

“You have never stayed this long at my place, I believe I owe this pleasure to Charlotte.” Grace said, and Paul chuckled.

“How many times wil you repeat that? I should leave now. Once Charlotte wake up..-“

“…- I’ll take care of her, so leave. Trust me, she is my friend too.” Grace said, and Paul nodded before leaving.

Grace let out a sigh when he left, and she went to glare at Charolette who was already fast asleep.

“You left year ago, only for you to appear again when I was finally getting my chance.” She grumbled, and Charlotte turned on the bed. “What’s even special about her?” She blurted, and jammed the door hard before leaving.

HOLLAND HIGH^^^
*
Michael went to the principal’s office in anger after listening to Jayden’s broadcast.

The principal stood up upon seeing him, already expecting the worst.

“Who was behind it?” He asked, and the principal breath in heavily to be able to respond. “Answer me! Jayden wouldn’t dare to go into that room to announce that nonsense, who was behind it?”

“Mr. Russ, we’re interrogating the broadcast crew, we will get to the bottom of this, sir.”

“Let me have the list of the crew members.” He said, and the principal gave him a file.

He opened the file, and the first member he saw was Rae so he closed the file.

“I want you to hold the team leader accountable.” He said, and returned the file.

“Sir? Rae Brown ?”

“Yes. Rae Brown, she should be held accountable.” With that he left the office.

He returned to class and his friends rushed to him ignoring the teacher in class.

“Mike, where were you?” Stanley asked.

“Did you heard the broadcast?” Austin asked.

“I’m not deaf. Where is Lina?” He asked after looking around.

“I’m not her keeper.” Austin blurted.

“Weren’t you two together? She didn’t return after you both left earlier.” Stanley said.

Michael left out a sigh and took the exit, followed by his friends before the teacher resumed her teaching.
*
They went to their suite, and Austin let out a sigh wondering why Micheal was getting so worked up because of Paulina.

“We’ve to find who put Jayden up to that.” Michael said, and Austin made a fist before throwing a tantrum.

“For what reason?” Austin blurted.

“What do you mean? This also involves me. I was recorded in that video.”

“Exactly! You were recorded, and Jayden came out to be held accountable. You stick to taking actions for that, not digging into what doesn’t concerns us.”

“I agree with Austin, we shouldn’t involve ourselves with Miss scholar’s problems, we should find another way to get back at Ava.” Stanley said.

“Is this all about getting back at Ava, or you’ve formed a bond with Miss scholar after getting locked up together?” Austin blurted.

“Mike, you shouldn’t get involved with that girl. Trying to get Ava this way also means attacking Lia, Alicia, and Rae. And that won’t be good for us.” Stanley said.

“She is very special to me.” Austin said, mimicking Michael’s voice.

“That’s enough, Austin.”

“You don’t have to get involved if you are scared.” Micheal blurted, and stood up.

“What’s so special about that girl? What’s making you go out of your way to help her even if it might lead to a ruckus? What aren’t you telling us, Mike?” Austin shouted

“Stan, are you in, or you against me as well?” Micheal asked.

“For f¥ck sake., Mike! Have you completely lost it? Those girls were our friends.” Austin shouted.

“That’s your last warning, Austin. If you aren’t on this with me, then stay out of it completely.” Michael said taking Austin aback. “Stan, are you with me or not?” He shouted, and Stanley let out a sigh.

“It hasn’t gotten to this, Mike. We’re friends, we will alway have each other’s back.”

“Friends? Are we really friends?” Austin blurted, and took the exit.

“Austin.” Micheal whispered staring at his retreating back.

“He is just whining now, he will reconsider.” Stanley said, and patted Michael’s back.

“We should leave him out of this.” Micheal said, and Stanley exhaled heavily.

“Should I get Jayden to take back his speech?” Stanley asked hoping that changes the topic.

“No, that will be of no use. If he claim that he put that camera there, then he should provide the complete footage, and be held accountable for his actions.”

“I’m sure Ava put him up to it. How could she be so dauntless to lie about such?” Stanley said.

“She is just trying to hit all birds with one stone.” Micheal muttered.

“I was able to get something on Miss scholar, she transferred from a small village by the countryside, she was adopted by the Stanford’s after she lost her mother in an accident.” Stanley said, and Micheal looked at him; his expression was sad, but he was quick to compose himself.

“That’s sad.” He said, trying to act reluctant.

“She is a complete parasite.” Stanley said, and Micheal looked at him. “She is leaching off the Stanford’s, that’s why Ava h@tes her this much. We would’ve done the same if we were in Ava’s shoes, we shouldn’t get too involved with her.” Stanley said, and Micheal’s eyes turned in furry.

“Don’t mention that name in front of me again.” He shouted startling Stanley.

“You scared me Mike.”

“Don’t ever mention that name to my face ever again. And her shoe can never fit me.” With that Michael left.

Stanley shook his head and turned to Steven. “We are going through a lot man, we should go relive some stress.” He said, and they both went to play games.

Ava and her friends went to their suite in jubilation and Rae excused herself when she was summoned by the principal.

She returned angrily later, and they both got alarmed.

“Babe, what happened?” Lia asked.

“I’m getting suspended.” She said, and they all looked at her expect Ava who was engrossed on her phone.

“What?” Lia and Alicia shouted.

“For what reason?” Lia asked.

“For letting an outsider into the broadcast room.”

“What? But why would you be hold responsible for that? Anyone in the broadcasting community has access to that room.” Alicia said.

“Exactly! But the cctv camera captured me entering the room.”

“The principal checked that?” Lia asked in surprise.

“I’m sure Mike is behind this, he meant it when he said that girl was special to him, we should have known better.” Rae muttered, getting Ava attention.

“If Mike was behind that, then he won’t stop. He would get Jayden to tell the truth, and we will all be at a disadvantage.” Ava said, and their face fell.

“What do we do now? This is worst than taking responsibility for the spy cam.” Lia whined.

“Do you really think Mike would go this far just for that peasant?” Alicia grumbled, and they all looked at her.

“We shouldn’t let our guards down, Mike can be really unpredictable.” Ava said, and took the exit.

“What do I do now? I’m suspended.” Rae lament.

“Good for you girl, you won’t be involved in the drama that would happen later.” Alicia said.

“Oh, now I wish I could also get suspended.” Lia lamented.

**
Austin returned to the MASS suite later and Stanley rushed to him.

“Buddy, I was lonely without you.” Stanley whined, and Austin pushed him away.

“Where is Mike?” He asked.

“Working, in his study.” Stanley whispered, and Austin went to the study.

He stormed into the study, and Micheal turned around in anger. They always give him privacy whenever he is in his study.

“Austin.” He called in delighted.

“Ava threaten Jayden with his sick grandmother and family welfare, it won’t be easy to get to take back his words.” Austin said, and Micheal embraced him.

“At the end, Austin. We were friends after all.” Stanley said, and he joined in the embrace.

They gestured Steven to join in, and it became a group hug.

“We aren’t a group with a leader as everyone assumes, we’re friends who got each other’s back even when we aren’t really pleased with our decision.” Michael thought happily.
*
They all sat together to play a video game, Micheal joins them in playing games only on rare occasions, so they took advantage of the situation until Stanley was out, and he went to press his phone while rooting for them until he divert his attention fully to his phone.

“Guys, Ava is at it again.” Stanley shouted.

“You lie, Stan. If you are trying to get me with that, you lie.” Austin laughed.

“She is bullying Miss scholar” Stanley said, and Micheal threw the remote away immediately rushing out.

“Mike, wait up.” The others shouted and ran after him.
*
They all rushed to the scene together and everyone paved way for them.

“What’s going on here?” Michael asked, and Ava glared at him.

“Stay out of this, Mike.” Ava blurted, and Micheal chuckled.

“I thought I made myself clear to everyone, Lina is special to me so nobody dares to hurt her.” He muttered, and everyone gasped.

👤”This is about to get wild.” The students mumbled awaiting the drama.

“Let’s get out of here, Lina.” Sage said, grabbing Paulina’s arm and dragging her out.

👤 “What? Did she just left with another man?” The students galaxies.

“What now, buddy?” Austin asked trying to hide in laughters.

Ava chuckled in mockery and left followed by her friends.

Micheal stood there staring blankly and Austin shakes his head.

“We should leave man.” Stanley said, and wrapped his hand around Mike’s shoulder; leading him away.
*
Sage led Paulina to his car, and Sophia joined them.

“That was so close.” Sophia exclaimed.

“Sophia, I think Lina needs to rest now, I’ll take her home.” Sage said.

“Oh, yeah… you should.” Sophia said.

“Don’t worry guys, I’ll be fine.” Paulina muttered.

“Don’t ever say you are fine when someone offers you a ride. A young handsome guy at that.” Sophia said, and Sage laughed.

“Thanks for the comment, Sophia.” Sage said.

“Sophie, call me Sophie instead. My driver is here, gotta run.”

“Bye, Sophie.” They both chorused, and Sophia waved before running off.

“Don’t worry, I’ll just drive you out of school, you can find your way from there.” Sage said, and she looked at him.

“What are you going to do about the stain on your uniform?” She asked, and he chuckled.

“Oh, I already forgot. I shout trash this.” He said, and removed the jacket before trashing it in the bin.

“What? You are going to trash that?” She shouted.

“What else? It’s stained.”

“Goodness, Sage.” She shouted, and went to take it.

“What? You picked that back from the garbage.”

“This is no garbage, you just threw away such an expensive jacket.”

“I have more than a dozen at home.”

“Even though, if you get trash each after any stain, you would be out of that dozens in no time.”

“What are you going to do with that now?”

“I’ll have it dry-cleaned for you.”

“If you insist, your wish. But you would’ve saved the trouble.”

“It’s no trouble, once it’s washed properly, it would be as good as new.” She said, and he nodded.

“I’m really going to learn a lot from you.” He said, and she chuckled
**
**
Micheal let out a sigh and looked at Austin who didn’t stop blabbering about what happened earlier, emphasizing on how Paulina left with another man after Micheal stand up for her.

“That’s enough already, Austin.” Stanley blurted already fed up.

“Mike, leave that girl alone and let’s find another way to get back at Ava. Miss scholar’s boyfriend will always hover around her, and it’s gonna make us look pathetic.” Austin said, and Stanley let out a sigh.

“I said that’s enough. I’ve even lost count on how many times I sighed today because of this.” Stanley lashed.

“Do you think he is her boyfriend.?” Micheal muttered talking for the first time since they were there – obviously, that’s the only word he heard.

“Are you bothered about that right now?” Austin asked in amusement.

“I doubt if you are already dating, because the party was the first time they met, and he is a new student, he obviously transferred because of her.” Stanley said, and Micheal looked at him.

“He is so annoying. Who cares if he is a Greenwood or whatsoever, he is a middle class peasant, and he dares to interfere in our game.” Austin blurted.

“If they first met at the party, I doubt if he is her boyfriend.” Micheal muttered, and their eyes widened in shock.

“Mike!” They both chorused.

“Are you being serious right now?” Stanley asked.

“Of course. If I want to use Lina to get back at Ava, her boyfriend will be a nuisance In our plan.” Micheal said trying to sound convincing.

“Are you sure that’s what this is all about?” Stanley asked, and Michael scoffed.

“What else? Don’t tell me you think I like to associate with a low life like her. I thought you guys knew me better.”

“I thought the same, but now I doubt.” Stanley grumbled.

“Either he is her boyfriend or not, he is going to get in our way, we have to get rid of him to be able to use her.” Austin said, and they both looked at him.

“How do we do that?” Micheal asked.

“I don’t know, but that seems like our only way. That guy is so annoying.” Austin said, and they nodded in agreement.

“You are right, he always piss me off as well.” Micheal muttered.

“Getting him to transfer should be a piece of cake.” Austin said, and Stanley shook his head.

“He is the only grandson Louis Narson the best lawyer in the world, and also the former dean of the best law school in England. He retired last year, and now he is the president’s most respected legal advisor, and mentor. Do you think it’s that easy to get him to transfer?” Stanley said, and their eyes widen.

“If his grandfather is that meticulous, why is he in the middle class?” Michael asked.

“That is his maternal grandfather, the problem must be from his parents.” Austin said.

“I doubt. The Greenwood’s have been know for almost a century as great agricultural businessmen, they own thriving agricultural industry in California, his father Peter Greenwood is the chairman, and his mother Patrica Narson Greenwood is a famous judge in the Supreme Court.” Stanley said, and Austin scoffed.

“What’s the point? Her son couldn’t even meet the supreme class.” Austin said, and they all laughed by his translation.

“So why is he in the middle class?” Stanley muttered.

“There must’ve been a problem somewhere.” Micheal muttered, and they all nodded.

“In summary, we shouldn’t mess with him.” Austin said, and Stanley patted his shoulder.

“You are quick, bro.” Stanley said, and they all laughed.
**
**
Ava and her friends returned to their suite angrily, and Lia paced around thinking of what to do.

“What do we do now? Mike is determined to protect that girl. If this all gets it, we’ll all be screwed completely.” Lia said.

“I wonder why Sage is always with that bltch.” Alicia blurted, and they all glared at her

“Is that your concern right now? I just got suspended, and we will all be done for in no time, and all you care about is that middle class loser.” Rae shouted.

“Watch your speech, don’t call him a loser.” Alicia fired back.

“Enough already! Your rantings won’t make me think.” Ava uproar, and they all kept quiet.

“Ava, what’s your plan?”

“We will attack them in a way they least expect and make everyone believe Jayden story. He won’t even be able to take back his words.” Ava said, and they all looked at her already interested.

“How do we do that?” Lia asked, already impatient, and Ava smirked.

“I always have a way.” She muttered, and they all giggled expect Alicia who didn’t stop fuming.
