The annual 100th anniversary for first group was successful, and Paul officially introduced Paulina as his daughter leaving everyone in shock.
Ava, who was already in New York saw the trending news online, and checked it out. Reading the comments, a lot of people were shocked and posting her picture as the ba$tard, reading everything confused her and she returned to the post. And loo… all her memories flood back in.
The phone fell off her hand in shock as she remembered everything.
“Ava, I just got news from the chairman’s secretary, they already fixed a date for your surgery, you will be getting your beautiful face back,” Leo said, barging into her room.
“Really?” she muttered, trying to comprehend everything she remembered.
She has been in New York with Leo and his mother, and she has been living happily with no worries, but remembering everything now made her feel pathetic —she really lost to Paulina.
“Ava, is there a problem? Why don’t you seem excited?” Leo asked.
“I remember everything now…. Daddy,” she muttered, and Leo’s eyes widened in shock.
“What?”
“All my memories are back,”
“Ava… I’m sorry for lying to you,” Leo said, already terrified.
“You didn’t lie, my mother was really married to the chairman. You weren’t completely honest, because you only told me things that I could understand,” she said, and Leo looked at her in shock.
“Ava, your food is ready! You have to eat if you want your surgery to go smoothly!” Her grandmother shouted from outside.
“Ava-…” he shuddered, but she cut him off.
“Yes, grandma! I’ll be right there!” with that, she hurried out.
Living with Leo and her grandmother have been a priceless blessing ever since she lost her memories. She might have forgotten everything, but she was happy to build new memories with them. And that wouldn’t change even if she remembered everything now. She love her life now, she was happier than being a ba$tard heiress, she lost to Paulina, but she found true happiness with her real family.

Paulina arrived at school, and a lot of students rushed to her at the parking lot. Micheal agreed to meet her in the hallway, they never knew the students had their own plans. She was struggling to find her way when she felt someone pulled her, and dragged her into his car.
“Sage,” she called in relief.
“You should call Mike, only him can save you from them,”
“Yeah, he is coming,”
“I should have known that you were a Stanford,”
“Sage, I’m sorry for keeping it from you. I didn’t have the confidence to tell anyone,”
“It’s fine. You don’t have to tell anyone since you aren’t confident enough. I’m just happy for you,”
“Thank you, Sage,” she said, and he helped her adjust her hair properly.
They heard a knock on the window, and he whined down when he saw Sophia.
“Lina, you are here. Are you fine?” Sophia asked.
“Yes,”
“The announcement was really a surprise,” Sophia said.
The MASS arrived before she could reply, and they both get down from the car.
“Lina, sorry I’m late. Are you ok?” Micheal asked, and embraced her.
“Yeah, thanks to Sage,”
“Thank you buddy,” Micheal said, and she left with them.
“Sage, can we go to class now?” Sophia asked, holding him.
“Yeah, we should,”
“Sage, I really don’t want to say this because we will write our final exams soon, and all… but I felt it’s right to say it than hold it in,”
“Say it away,”
“Why are you always worried about Lina? I thought you have moved on from her,”
“What? You think I worry about Lina because I still have feelings for her?”
“Isn’t that what it is?!”
“Sophie, Lina is my friend, and you are my girlfriend now,”
“That is the picture, but Lina was never your friend! From the start, you have always liked her, and she was even your dream,”
“But we are together now,”
“Aren’t you in this relationship because I like you? I knew it from the start, but I expected you to move on later on,”
“Unbelievable,” he muttered. “All these while, you thought I asked you to be my girl because you like me, not because I feel the same way?”
“Isn’t that the truth,”
“Sophie, you were my friend, and I rejected your feelings because I didn’t want to hurt you. I loved Lina, and I haven’t moved on from her then, so I rejected you because I know your feelings were sincere, but you are wrong if you think I still have feelings for Lina. I can’t be with you if I still had feelings for you. You might like me first, but that doesn’t mean I can’t feel the same later on. The feelings I have for Lina now are pure platonic, everything ended when I asked you to be my girl,” he said, and her jaw dropped.
“Sage…”
“If you are going to be this way, then I think we need a break,” with that, he left.
“Sage…” she cried, staring at his retreating back.

AT LOUIS’S HOUSE^^^

Charlotte ran into Louis house after Ms. Bella informed her that he was leaving, he made an effort to convince her into marrying Paul, and she could know that he was making that sacrifice because of Paulina. His feelings for her were sincere, but Paulina is an innocent child that deserves to get her recognition, so she gave in.
She barged into his room and met him parking as Ms. Bella claimed, and he turned to look at her in shock.
“Charlotte,”
“You are really leaving? How could you leave without a word? How could you do this to me?” She lashed.
“I was going to tell you before I leave, I’m not leaving today,”
“But Ms. Bella…”
“Yeah. I told her not to come by anymore that I would be leaving, a colleague of mine is moving in. He was also a doctor at the hospital I worked. He had some situation, so I asked him to-…” he was saying, and she burst into tears. “Charlotte,” he called, and embraced her.
“I thought you were going to leave again, I thought you were going to leave me again,” she cried.
“Charlotte, I’ll leave anyways, but not just today. I’m moving to a hotel,”
“You asked me if I want to come with you the last time,”
“I got the answer. You are married to Paul, and I understand everything. I was the one who convinced you to accept it. Charlotte, if it will help ease your guilt, I didn’t do everything I did because I wanted you to be with me, the truth was; I saw this all coming. Take care of yourself now, Charlotte. I’m really leaving for real this time,” he said, and tears flowed freely from her face.
“You are so mean, you are so mean!” she cried, hitting him. “You left the last time, you stole my first kiss and stole my heart, and now, you want to leave again! You asked me to hit you as much as I want, but how will I do tha if you leave me…” she cried, and he embraced her.
“Charlotte, I’m so sorry,”
“For what? For stealing my first kiss? Or for stealing my heart?” she cried.
“For making you cry,” he said, and wiped her tears.
“You were also my first, Louis. That kiss… you managed to stole my heart just as you stole my first kiss, and I looked forward to hitting you whenever you return. I looked forward to your return, but you never returned,”
“What about Paul?”
“My feelings for Paul dled the moment he married Grace, when I attempted sulcide, I harbor nothing but hate left for him,”
“But you named your daughter after him,”
“That was just a coincidence. I named Paulina after the missing daughter of the granny who rescued me. It was a mere coincidence,”
“And your marriage to him?”
“It is already over,”
“What?”
“I told Paul that I will only marry him to make Paulina a legitimate child, and afterwards we will annul the marriage. I signed the divorce papers right after the annual anniversary. You are the one-…” she was saying, but Louis cut her off with a kiss.
“I love you, Charlotte. Do you know how long I want to use those words and kiss you again?”
“Louis, let’s leave together. Don’t leave me behind again,” she muttered, and embraced him.
“What about Paulina?”
“She will come with us, I’ll take her with her,”
“Will she agree?”
“Let’s worry about that later “ she muttered, and he placed a soft kiss on her head.

Charlotte returned to the hotel she and Paulina have been staying after she registered her marriage to Paul. She refused to move in with him, so he bucked the hotel for them.
“Mum,” Paulina called when she saw her, and went to embrace her.
“Paulina, I have to discuss something with you,” Charlotte said, and Paulina smiled.
“I know,” Paulina muttered.
“Know what?”
“That you are leaving with uncle Louis,”
“How did you know?”
“Uncle Louis told me. He came to pick me up from school, and he even drove me here,”
“Louis… so you were the one he had a meeting with,”
“Maybe,”
“So…” she shuddered, and Paulina held her hand.
“Mum, I’m happy for you. Uncle Louis is a good person, and I can tell that he loves you very much, and he will always put you first. He will never hurt you like dad,”
“I know. He has always been that way,” Charlotte said, blushing slightly. “I’m glad that you accepted Louis, but he is leaving California,”
“I know. He said he is going to Germany,”
“Yes. His life based there, so we will have to move to Germany after your exam,”
“I can’t come with you mum,”
“Why?”
“If I leave, dad will be all alone,”
“Paulina, what about me?”
“Mum, you have uncle Louis. Dad officially announced me as a Stanford, and Ava is gone too. If I leave, he is going to be all alone, and I also don’t to leave my friends,”
“Your friends? Mikey?”
“Mum, you remembered him?”
“Since the very day you introduced him. His face didn’t change,”
“But he isn’t the main reason, dad is. He is all alone right now. Dad might be the chairman of a thriving group, it might seem like he has it all, but he is very lonely. I can’t let him live that way, living in regret for the rest of his life. Dad is a good person, he is just lacking in some ways. I don’t want him to be alone,”

“No, I can’t do this,” Charlotte cried, and embraced her.
“Mum, it’s going to be fine. It’s just Germany, it’s not another planet. I’ll always pay you a visit, and you do the same. You deserve to be happy, mum. Live a happy life with uncle Louis, and bore beautiful siblings for me,”
“My baby… when did you grow up this much?” Charlotte cried, tightening the hug.

Charlotte told her father about her decision to leave the country with Louis, and he gave them his blessings, promising to watch over Paulina.

Mr. Ethan bought a better house to live in after Charlotte reunited with Paulina. He want Paulina to be able to freely visit him whenever.
He was setting the new gun he bought when someone barged inside, and he looked up to see Don.
“Boss!”
“Barging in on me?”
“I’m sorry, boss. I’m in a rush that’s why,”
“What’s so urgent?”
“Why did you have that? Kai told me you purchased a gun,”
“Maybe I should get rid of Kai with the gun first. He has a lousy mouth,”
“Who do you plan to klll with the gun?”
“Am I supposed to report to you? Your duty is to watch over my granddaughter! Why on earth are you here? Do you want me to klll you first?”
“Boss, I won’t let you klll anyone with that. You just reunite with miss Paulina, I can’t let you return to prison again,”
“I just reunite with her, that’s why I want her to be safe. If I have to get rid of everyone to protect Charlotte and my granddaughter, then I’ll proudly return to prison,”
“If I dare to ask, what does that mean?”
“Leo came to me before he left…” he said, and started a long story.

Mr. Ethan met with Leo who has been pestering him to meet up.
“You. You ran off to watch over your daughter, so do you think you can boss me now that you are acquitted with the Stanford’s?”
“I don’t dare, boss. My life is all yours,”
“Yes. Your life is mine, because you owe me your life so take good care of it. We already finish our business, Leo. So take good care of yourself, and avoid troubles, otherwise… I might come for what you owe me “
“Thank you, boss. But I have something to tell you, it’s just a mere suspicion but I think we should look into it,”
“What?”
“Mr. Packard personal assistant have been visiting the hospital discreetly to check on Ava, I think Mr. Packard might try to plot an escape out of the detention centre,”
“I know he will, but I never expected him to act this fast,”
“I’ll look into it, boss,”
“If you have time for that, look after your daughter instead. You have been away from her for years, and fortunately she lost her memories so be a good father to her. I’ll ask someone to look into it,”
“Thank you, boss,”
“Let this be the last time we meet like this. Remember, I own your life m, so if you disobey me, I might just take it,”

Mr. Ethan concluded his story, and Don exhaled heavily.
“Should I look into it?” Don asked.
“No. I already put someone to it. Mr. Packard is escaping today,”
“What?”
“Mr. Kim helped me with the information, they have informants in the detention centre. That Packard will escape today, and another person will be kllled so he will be pronounced d£ad,”
“So what do you plan to do?”
“I’ll get rid of him myself at the airport. He already prepared fake passports, he is leaving the country,”
“Boss, you should’ve put those mafias to it,”
“The new boss is a teenager, he doesn’t want blo0d shield, and Mr. Kim will only receive orders from him. Besides that, I trust no one to handle it. I want to see that man down myself, and proudly return to prison,”
“Boss, then I’ll do it,”
“No, I trust no one,”
“I know you don’t trust me, but this is my last chance of repentance. I’ll make sure to get rid of Mr. Packard, if anyone will go to prison, then I will gladly take the fall,”
“Nah… who will look after Paulina when you are in prison?”
“You should look after her yourself!” He shouted.
“Did you just raise your voice?”
“If anyone will go to prison, that should be me. It was my fault that you went to prison the last time, so let me make it right this time. I don’t want you to be deprived the chance of being a grandfather, as I have deprived you a chance of being a father,”
“Then do it right this time! This is your last chance to finally repent. If you fail, I’ll klll you first,” Mr. Ethan said, squeezing his shoulder.
“My life is all yours, boss!” Don muttered, and took the gun.
“Mr. Kim men are on the lookout, they will notify us once he makes a move,” Mr. Packard said, patting Don’a back.
“Alright, boss,”
“You should visit your brother when all these is over,” he said, and Don nodded.

Don got rid of Mr. Packard at the airport before he could flee, and turned himself in to the police afterwards.
Mr. Narson (the best lawyer) found the case interesting, because Mr. Packard was already pronounced d£ad in the detention centre before dying at the airport, so he decide to take the case as his final case.
Charlotte and Louis left later on, and Paulina promised to pay them a visit during the holiday which was also the time fixed for their grande wedding.

The school calendar drew to an end, and the students started their final exams which was the most pressuring moment of their lives. Plans are also on for Rae’s wedding, when they told thier parents about their plan to get married, to their surprise, both parties approved and the wedding was scheduled to after their graduation. Stanley was also able to ace the math test whereas Orion fell short with a single point, leaving Orion amazed.
“Stanley, I hope you aren’t offended, but how did you solve that question 51? I thought the answer was b, everyone thought the same,” Orion said.
“I came across similar equations in a postgraduate mock exam, so when I failed the question, I requested for the solution before I understood it,”
“Wow. I still have a lot to learn,”
“That’s why we can never beat him, he has his way around such tricky questions,” Jessica said, walking past them and Stanley couldn’t stop staring at her entreating back.
“Stanley, I wish we could work on a team competition together someday,” Orion said.
“Stan, you are indeed good, I give you that,” Paulina said, and bumped knuckles with him.
“You also improved a lot,”
“If that’s meant to make me feel better, I’ll pass. I already told Jessica that I didn’t want to take the test,” she whined, and they both laughed.
“Pauli, we should go have lunch,” Orion said.
“Nope! I’ll explain some math tricks to you, Paulina has plans,” Stanley said, and dragged Orion away.
“Let’s go, girlfriend,” Micheal said approaching her, and she ran into his embrace. “96% isn’t a bad score,” he muttered, and she nodded.
“I’m famished,” she grumbled, and he smiled.

Stanley represented the school for the competition and he won as usual. The final exam was coming to an end, and students started securing date for prom night. It was their final night as high school students, and should be a memorable one. Micheal made a new changes for their set, approving all the students of every class to have the event together in the main hall, following Paulina’s request because she wish to have the last night at school with her friends who are in different classes.
The guys started proposing to thier desired ladies to be their dates, some got rejected and some were accepted. Sophia and Sage made up when he asked her to be his date, and she promised not to ever get unnecessary jealous again .

As usual, Jessica rejected all her proposal and the guys started teasing her asking if she will go to prom with her father.
She went to the cafeteria, and petals rained down on her the moment she entered, followed by the melody of a beautiful music. She sighed in frustration and looked around wondering who she hasn’t rejected yet when Stanley walked up to her with a bunch of flowers.
“Will you be my date to prom?” he asked, and everyone became alerted.
“Why shouod I be your date?” she blurted, her lines were different this time, to the others, she bluntly rejected the others and walked past.
“Because the night won’t be complete without you by my side. I know I don’t have the rights to propose to you, but here I am,”
“Since you know that, then you shouldn’t propose!” she blurted, and turned to leave but he dragged her back and kissed her.
“I was the one who asked you to be my girl, but you are the one who can call it quit. Have you accepted our breakup?”
“You are so mean…” she cried, hitting him and everyone gasped.
He dragged her into his embrace, and placed a kiss on her head followed by applauses.
“Thank you for giving me another chance, I promise to do better this time. I’ll stand up against your father if I have to,” he stated, in determination.
“This is your last chance, so you better do well,” she said, and he kissed her.
“Gosh! Two intelligent people shouldn’t be together, they should at least contribute thier knowledge to the future generations by dating people that are struggling,” a student said, and everyone laughed.
“I never knew Stanley could be that romantic,” Austin grumbled.
“I know, right?” Micheal said.
“Steve, this is your chance. You should pick a girl today or it’s over! You will have no date for prom,” Austin said.
“We can’t be together that day, everyone will be with his girl. So you should find one too,” Micheal said.
“The girl I like to go with is going with someone else,” Steven said.
“Who is the girl? Why are you a mafia is you can’t get rid of your obstacles?” Austin said.
“Even if the person is my friend?” he asked, and give they both looked at him.
“Are you interested in either Lina, Jessica, or Rae?” Austin inquired.
“You guys aren’t my only friends,”
“Then who?” Austin nagged.
“There comes Lina,” Steven pointed, and she joined thier table.
“Everyone already has a date for prom. Even Jessica got hers,” she said, and Micheal drew a seat for her.
“Everyone expect Steven,” Austin said.
“And I!” she blurted, and they all looked at her.
“What does that mean?” Micheal asked.
“Oh, I forgot. I have to leave school early today. Steven, let’s go,” Austin said, and dragged Steven away.
A message beeped into Paulina’s phone later and her face brightened up.
“Steven might be the only one without a date. I think Orion is going to ask me to be his date,” she said, and ran off.
“What? What about me?” he shouted, and everyone divert thier attention to him. “What?” he blurted, and they looked away.

Micheal went to pick up Paulina from home, he claimed to have somewhere important to take her, and she almost thought he was going to ask her to be his date to prom in a glamor style like the last time.
He pulled over at a hotel, and she looked at him wondering the string he is pulling.
“I have never brought anyone here before, you will be the first and the last,” he said, and she looked at him.
“A hotel?”
“My mother is here, my biological mother,”
“What? You want me to meet your mother?”
“She will leave the county soon, and I might never be able to see her again. Dad made her sign some papers to legally put me up for adoption to the Russ, so even if my cover get blown in the future, I won’t be at loss,”
“That’s impressing,”
“We should see mum first. Let’s go,”
“Yeah, we should,”
“Are you ready for this?” he asked, and she smiled.
“I think you are the one who needs to be ready,” she said, and he looked away. “Put yourself together, Mike, we are going to meet your mother,” she said reassuring him, and he nodded.

After meeting his mother, they both went to a beach together to relax discussing his shares in the company.
“My mother won’t relent even if I have a right now, so my father is going to propose to the Stanfords again to make me have the upper hand before he makes me the chairman,”
“Propose?”
“Yes. For the engagement. He plans to reinstate the engagement. You will accept the engagement, right? I’m sure your father will approve if you accept it,”
“Is that your way of proposing? You didn’t even ask me to be your date to prom, and now you are proposing to me like this?” she lashed.
“I was going to ask you to be my date later tonight, I already prepared everything,”
“Get lost!” she blurted, and ran off.
“Hey! Are you still mad at me?” he whined running after her.
She ran around in the beach and started throwing sands and water at him, he ran after her doing the same, until they laid flat on the sand already exhausted.
“We will get very busy after prom, we might not be able to meet often,”
“Because of Austin’s wedding?”
“Yes. We have to make it go down in history,”
“My mum’s wedding is right after,”
“So you are going to Germany,”
“We are going to Germany. You promised to come with me,”
“Of course. You, means we,” he said, and she scoffed.
“Since we will get busy later, we should spend as much time as we can together,” he said, and she looked at him.
“Yes, we should,” she muttered, and he kissed her, and she wrapped her arms around his neck deepen the kiss.
