SANTIAGO’S MANSION
Santiago got into the mansion and began scattering everything his hands met in the living room. He was so màd that if any of his boys were present, he wouldn’t mind killing them.
” I see he’s finally grown wings! How dare he make mockery of me not having an heir?” He snarled.
” Because of his stupid father, I lost what was supposed to be mine! I lost the company! ” He punched the wall angrily.
” You’ve just stepped into the Lion’s den, Mariano” He gritted out.
He angrily took his phone.
★ IN FEW DAYS TIME, LET’S VISIT MARIANO’S MANSION TOGETHER… IT’S TIME I TAKE OVER EVERTHING★
He sent and dropped his phone.
He sat on the couch, panting heavily as Mariano’s words rang in his head.

Santario was seated on the couch while Dorian sat next to him.
” Can I do that? Can I tell Dora about you?” She asked, but he said nothing as he watched her dial Menodora’s number.
? Hey girlfriend, It’s been ages.
Menodora’s voice came first, but Dorian kept staring at Santario who nodded gently.
? I’m sorry kiddo… I would’ve loved to visit you, but I can’t cos I’m not safe. There’s something I also need to apologize for.
? Firstly, I’m not your kiddo. You’re just five days older, you dummy” She laughed but was surprised Dorian didn’t laugh back.
? Did something happen? What are you apologizing for? I’m just coming back home after lectures, so don’t give me hypertension and tell me what went wrong.
? Baby… Dorian pouted.
? Let me guess; you’re pregnant for your Uncle Carlos or should I say Santagrow or was it Santa Claus” Menodora laughed.
? It’s not funny! I am, and I’m sorry for falling for him in the long run. He’s really not a bad person Dora, you need to trust me. Truly, he was the one who caused your parents’ dead but…
? I know… I heard him say it when he kidnaped me the other day… I don’t h@të you for falling for him sweetie. You don’t choose who your heart beats for. I love Mariano despite what he did”
? You don’t h@të me?” Dorian asked.
? I don’t.. but, did he tell you who instructed him to do it?”
? Yeah, he said Ruby… mankind?” Dorian looked at Santario and he nodded in agreement.
? Ruby mankind? Menodora asked to be sure.
? Yeah… You know him? Is he related to your family?” Dorian asked.
? I’ll send you a picture and ask Santagrow to tell me if he’s the Ruby mankind he’s talking about ” Menodora ended the call.
Minutes later, Dorian’s phone vibrated. It was a message from Menodora. She checked the picture before showing it to Santario who nodded.
” That’s my boss” He said.
A video call came in from Menodora almost immediately.
” Is he the one? Ruby mankind, your boss?” She asked and Santario took the phone from Dorian.
” Yeah, he’s my boss and he’s after you. You must be careful”
Menodora’s tears began to fall.
” You know him?” Dorian asked after she saw her cry.
” He’s my dad’s best friend. The only person my dad trusted with his life. He was like a family to us, he was like a dad to me” She cried.
” How could he? After everything Dad did for him? How could he?” She asked in tears.
” Don’t go anywhere, I’ll come stay with you” Dorian said and made to end the call but Santario stopped her.
” You can’t, it’s dangerous. We need a plan on how to get rid of Ruby first”
” You think it’ll be easy?” Menodora asked.
” I’ll think of a way, but for now, don’t go anywhere. I’d advise you to stay with your boyfriend for the moment and take classes online. Ruby wants you alive to get Attorney Bills and when he does, you die” He said and Menodora nodded.
” Alright then, thanks santagrow” She cleaned her tears.
” Joke with my boyfriend’s name once more and I’ll appear at your hostel this minute”
” Kangeroo…” She teased again, and Dorian laughed.
” You’re crazy!”
” Eat well so little Santa Claus in you grows well… bye” Menodora ended the call.
” Now I feel so guilty for all the things I did in the past”
” Don’t blame yourself… Menodora is one sweet soul and I think she already forgave you” Dorian hugged him.

Tessa, Eduardo, and Steve stood to Bills Hoffman whose eyes were still closed.
” For how long will you keep closing those eyes of yours, huh? Don’t you wanna see how much your 11-year-old had grown?” Eduardo asked.
Attorney Bills’ life machine began reading abnormally and fear gripped Tessa. She made to rush out of the ward, but Steve held her back and pointed at their dad.
His eyes were opened.
” Mom… Dad just opened his eyes” He said and Tessa turned swiftly. Her eyes widened when she saw him awake.
She rushed to him and checked his pulse. A small smile escaped her lips.
” Finally… Finally, honey” She staggered back slightly with tears leaving her eyes. Attorney Bills’ eyes went to his wife, then to the two young adults beside him.
Tessa gently removed the oxygen mask on her husband’s nose while Bills kept blinking without a word.
” Dad… It’s me, Steve, and here, your first child, Eduardo” Steve said, but all Attorney Bills did was stare.
Steve looked at their mom.
” Don’t tell me he lost the ability to talk?” He asked.
” It’s been 15 years and 8 months, so what do you expect? It’s gonna take a couple of months before he’ll be able to walk and adapt to the human world again” Tessa replied.
” Don’t question your dad. I’ll go get Doctor Patrick” She said, and left the ward. Eduardo, Steve, and Attorney Bills just kept staring at each other like strangers.

FRIDA’S MANSION ~ EVENING
” Mom, why was Bijoux here yesterday?” Gladys asked as she applied her facial cream.
” Oh, nothing ” Frida replied.
” Well, I saw her in front of a mansion yesterday staring at Dora… Seriously Mom, Dora looks so good don’t you think? I’m jealous now” She pouted.
” You did? I only asked her to let me know where Dora stays that’s all”
” Okay then… Should we visit her someday? I feel like seeing my cute little cousin” She said, and Frida forced a smile.
” If that’s what you want” She said, and Gladys nodded before leaving for her room.

MARIANO’S MANSION
Mariano got home from work and headed to his room. After he was done taking his shower, he went to the sitting room where he met Rose pacing restlessly.
” Mom?” He called, drawing her attention.
” Oh, Maria! You’re back” She smiled and Mariano’s eyes settled on her cheek. It looked different from how he saw it before going to work.
” What happened to your face?” He asked.
” Ah… My face…” She touched her cheek, not knowing what to say.
How was she gonna tell her son that the man she killed was back to life and now plans to ruin him?
” I… ” Fortunately for her, Mariano’s phone rang before she could give a reply.
He checked the caller and when he noticed it was Menodora, he smiled.
” Few minutes Mom.. I’ll come back to ask about your swollen cheek” He smiled before picking up the call.
? Hey… I’m on my way to your place. I heard some news and I wish to share it with you… it’s about the killer of my parents. She said.
? I just got to your street” She ended the call.
” Her parents’ killer? It’s a good thing she knows who it is, I won’t forgive anyone who had hands in her parents’ dead” Mariano said inwardly and made to face Rose again when his phone beeped red.
Danger!
” Menodora” He exclaimed and hurriedly went upstairs for his car keys.
” Maria, is everything okay? Rose asked but he rushed out of the house without replying.
He got into his car and a rough drive started. He knew where he was going, thanks to the tracker on Menodora’s necklace.
He was speeding 10 times his normal speed. He didn’t care about the traffic light or anything, he just kept going until he reached the spot he got the signal.
He saw a car that immediately took off after seeing Mariano’s own car.
He chased after the car and the rough drive continued until they reached a dead end.
Mariano left his car, so did the guy.
” Where is she?” He yelled and the guy laughed.
” To get her, then you must kill me” The guy said. He pressed a button in his Brë@št pocket and his car began moving.
Mariano’s eyes widened.
He made to run to it but the guy stood before him.
” You’ll have to kill me first ” The guy smirked as he charged at Mariano.
A rough fight ensued between them. Mariano’s mind was in the moving car cos it was heading towards a cliff that had water beneath it.
” Please wait for me, Dora” He said in his head. He kicked the guy’s face and the guy fell to the ground. The guy stood up almost immediately and brought out his gun with a smirk on his face.
Before he could ÇOçk the gun, Mariano kicked his stomach again and stylishly took his gun. He shot the guy’s leg and the guy fell on his knees. He kicked and punched the guy continuously till he was almost dead.
He left the almost-dead guy and started approaching the guy’s car, but he suddenly felt a sharp pain at his side.
The guy just stabbed him.
” You Motherf*cker ” He cursed, shooting the guy on the head none stop until his brain scattered everywhere around the place.
Ruby’s phone vibrated from his end, and knowing what happened, he balled his fist tightly.
Mariano threw the gun away and stared at the car which was still moving in a slow motion towards the cliff. He removed the knife stuck in his side and ran after the car with all his might.
Just a few inches for it to fall into the water, He stopped the car with the help of a rock. He opened the boot and saw the unconscious Menodora in it. He helped her out before pushing the car and it went directly into the water.
He carried Menodora in a bridal style and made to walk, but he fell with her. He was bleeding too much and his eyes were getting blurry too.
” Dora… Please wake up” He muttered, closing his eyes finally.
