Chapter 55 – Crazy Wheels
“You let him kiss you?” Johnny accused, directing his attention to her.
What? How could he accused her of that, he made it sound like she is someone who goes around locking lips with notorious gang members. She looked at him, and she wished she didn’t because instead of the anger she expected to see, she saw pain in his eyes.
Don’t go soft on me.
“It’s not like I let him kiss me, he cornered me.” She snapped angrily. It wasn’t like she let Taeyong kissed her. It just happened, just like every time he kissed her.
“You can kiss someone in a split second, track us down to the end of the world, but once you get cornered by a man, your brain goes blank. How pathetic are you!” He hissed angrily. The pain in his face was replaced with anger.
“Can you stop! It’s not like it was my fault and don’t act like you were different when you cornered me last night.” She scoffed. There was fire burning in her eyes and right now all she could feel anger and intense fury growing in stomach.
“You kissed her last night?” Yuta asked, still trying to catch up to the conversation.
“I know there was something different about you two the second you returned.” Jaehyun said in realization while he looked back and forth between the two of them.
“Do you like her?” Johnny asked, this time his attention was on Taeyong who still hadn’t looked up once from the docvments in his hands. His eyes slowly met with Johnny’s. “Do you like SoMi?” He repeated.
SoMi couldn’t believe what she was hearing, because she knew that Taeyong didn’t like her like that. What she couldn’t believe even more was the pain of her heart dropping when Johnny asked Taeyong that.
Taeyong had a scheming look in his innocent face and she could tell that he had the crazy wheels in his head spinning at full speed.
“Yes.” Taeyong answered firmly looking at Johnny straight in the eyes.
Somi wanted to march up to the man and smack him senseless, but her body refused to move. It was like she actually wanted to see what Taeyong had in store for them.
A sense of emotions danced in Johnny’s eyes, all of which entered and disappeared too rapidly for her to decipher. All she wanted to do was know what he was thinking right now.
“Okay then.” Johnny affirmed, shocking the whole group; Taeyong included. He pushed the chair he was seated back, he stood up and walked out of the kitchen.
Before he left, he stopped and turned around. “Then I can break the engagement. It you like her; be with her.” He said to Taeyong. He turned around again and left.
“What the hell happened?” Yuta asked, completely lost.
“d@mn! It wasn’t supposed to go like that. I forgot how unpredictable he can be.” Taeyong mumbled, frustrated at how Johnny had reacted. He forgot that he could never expect what Johnny’s next move was going to be. Taeyong thought the Dragon was going to get jealous, throw a punch, pull SoMi away and corner her interview a make-out session.
“What. Were you trying to make him jealous?” Yuta asked, turning around to look at SoMi. He had never seen her in such a daze state, “Are you okay?” He asked SoMi.
“No.” She answered. She wasn’t even trying to hide her emotions. Of course she wasn’t okay with him breaking the engagement. What was he thinking now?
She hadn’t expect Taeyong’s answer, but she knew he only said that to pissed Johnny off. Johnny’s reaction however wasn’t what any of them expected. She felt disappointed in him because she half-expected him to punch Taeyong senseless, or remind everyone that she was his.
She thought he would at least try and half-heartedly fight for her. Did he even care ? She guessed he didn’t because he announced that he would break their engagement off, just like that.
“He’s probably in his room. Just go up the stairs and turn right. It’s the last door at the end of the hallway.” Yuta shouted to her.
She skipped up the stairs, her thoughts bombarding her mind. Her emotions felt so unstable and she wasn’t sure about this.
