“Isn’t that going far?” Amber asked as she pull her hand out of his hold.
“It isn’t and just so you know my mother keeps trying to find a way to make me stay away from you. Do you wish for her to succeed?” Roland asked.
“I don’t but then getting married to you is really a big decision, I must give myself time to think about it before giving you a reply” she said.
“You do love me right?” Roland asked as he stared at her and the look in her eyes gave him the answer he needed.
“Am sorry for asking you to marry me when am still trying to win your heart” he said as he pulled her into a tight hug.
They were still in each other arms when they something shot against the window shattering the glass.
They were startled at first but then Amber regained her wits and went upstairs to check on Liam while Roland inspect the window.
There was a metal ball on the floor and also a piece of paper.

“Is Liam okay?” Roland asked as soon as Amber came back to join him.
“He is. What about you?” Amber asked worriedly.
“There’s something I need to confirm. I will call you ” he said as he gave her a swift kiss before leaving the room.

“You came early” Sarah said as she lock her hand into Estrella’s and they began to leave the college.
“That’s because am bothered” Estrella said.
“Bothered about what?”
“Well there’s this guy who always watch me whenever am at the agency. Am meant to feel angry and all but instead I like the fact that he watches me. What do you think is wrong with me?” Estrella asked.
“You are interested in him just as much as he is with you” Sarah replied which got Estrella eyes widening in shock.
“It can’t be, I certainly can’t be in love with him since I don’t…Marco is not type” Estrella said and that got Sarah laughing.
“Your heart doesn’t tell you to like some one, it just leads you to it” Sarah told her.
“Just as it led him to you?” Estrella ask and Sarah look up to see Jerome walking up to her.
“Am gonna leave you guys to talk” Estrella said before walking off.
“Hello” Jerome greeted looking nervous just like her.
“Am busy. Let’s talk some other time” Sarah said wanting to leave but he held onto her hand.
“Shouldn’t we talk about yesterday?” Jerome asked.
“We have nothing to talk about” she replied.
“We do since I confessed my feelings to …”
“It isn’t going to work. You and I are world’s apart ” Sarah said as she cut him off.
“You haven’t given yourself the chance to make a go at it ” Jerome countered hotly.
“Why should I when nothing can come out of us being together? Jerome just forget about the feelings you have for me and find someone else”
“That won’t be easy for me to achieve ” he said hotly.
“Then do your best cause I have no intention of being with you” Sarah said before walking past him.
She felt hurt saying those things to him but it’s the best for them. A love between them can never be possible.
She was heading to Estrella when she got a call from Amber.
“What do you mean by Liam is missing?”

^ ROLAND’S COMPANY ^
“Here’s the docvment you asked for?” His secretary said as she put down the file.
Roland compared the handwriting on the threat letter to that on the file and he let out a sigh.
“My suspicion is right” Roland let out just as he got a call from Amber.
“Liam is missing? Stay where you are, I am coming” he said before ending the call.
He got to Amber’s house a while later. There he met Sarah, Estrella, Marco and Darren.
“We should call the police” Darren said
“I already did” Sarah answered.
“And what are they doing? We can’t sit back without doing a thing” Marco let out.
It was at that moment Amber notice Roland and immediately she went to him while he embrace her in a hug.
“Our son has been taken. Am going to die if something bad happens to him” Amber let out in tears.
“Nothing bad will happen to him, I promise that I will bring Liam back to you” Roland said giving her a kiss before leaving the house.
As soon as he got into his car he made a call to someone.
“Where exactly are you?”
A while later he got out of his car and went straight into his mother’s home. He went straight to the second floor and found them at the balcony.
Winter sat on the floor looking scared while little Liam was tied onto a chair and there stood James gazing down at them with anger.
“It’s so good you are here” James said looking like the psychopath he is.
“Why are you doing this? What’s your aim in taking my son and my mom !” Roland yelled at him.
“Cause it will give me the satisfaction I want which is to see you lose it all” James said crazily.
“Let them go and talk to me since am the one you want” Roland said but James wasn’t buying it.
“Think I will let you have your way? Never!” James yelled at him.
“I thought you are working for my son! Why are you doing this to him?” Winter yelled at him.
“Cause your son is a bastard who deserves to die. Thanks to him, my sister died and so it’s only right that he dies too” James said as he pulled out a gun.
Winter screamed out in fear while Little Liam began crying.
“Your sister? What exactly happened to her?” Roland asked.
“She was just an employee of yours, an employee who fell for you but then you lured her and made her sleep with you then discarded her as if nothing ever happened” James yelled out like a maniac.
“She was hurt by the way you discarded her and ended up committing suicide. I got home that day to find her dead and it’s your d@mn fault”
“I didn’t know about it and….”
“How could you have known when she’s just one of your numerous women. If only you hadn’t given her hope, if only you had stayed away, she wouldn’t have slept with you and you wouldn’t have hurt her which led to her death”
“On the day she died. I made a vow to kill you and every of your loved ones and I almost succeeded with the accident but then that stupid Amber had to get involved which is why I took her son”
“You will watch me kill your mom and your son and know how bad it is to lose a love one” James added wanting to shoot Whitney but Roland ran towards him hitting the gun out of his hand.
A scuffle began between the two and they ended up moving to the edge of the balcony.
James was all over Roland wanting to push him down the balcony and he would have done that if the police didn’t show up that moment to stop the whole thing.
Due to the gun being pointed at him by the police, James surrendered himself.
Amber, Darren, Sarah and Marco were also present since they followed Roland and also called for the police.
“Are you okay?” The crying Amber said to Roland who gave her nod in return.
She pulled him into a hug until Liam got out of Darren hold to go to his parents who lovingly embraced him too.

^ FEW MONTHS LATER ^
Amber and Roland could be seen walking down the beach.
On their faces was a lively smile which showed how happy they both are.
“Shouldn’t we join the others now?” Roland asked.
“No. I want to spend more time alone with you and besides I think they are also busy with one another” Amber said thinking about Darren whom Roxanne wouldn’t let leave her side since he belongs to her and there is Sarah and Jerome, although Sarah stayed away from Jerome due to the age difference. She had to give in when Jerome got hospitalize and she realised that without him in her she’s nothing.
The most surprising one of all is Marco and Estrella. Never would she have thought them to be a couple due to their opposite behavior but they ended up becoming one.
“You are right, since they are all busy with their lover why don’t I just stay here with mine” Roland said huskily while Amber gave him a hug starring at her engagement ring.
“I can’t wait for our wedding to come and also am glad that your mom finally sulk in her pride and accept me into your life” she said.
“It’s either that or she lose me forever” Roland said which got her smiling.
“You know I had given up on love when you left me years ago but am glad that you came into my life once again and showered me with your love. I love you”
“And I love you too cause you are my heart throb after all ” Roland replied before sealing his words with a kiss.
